On this day, 235 years ago, the United States adopted the Stars and Stripes as its flag. If you want a way to show your patriotism — aside from hanging the American flag on your porch — then get out your hot glue gun, yarn and scissors and make this American flag-inspired wreath by Nap Time Crafts.

 DIY Patriotic Wreath

This project is so easy — just wrap red, white and blue yarn around a wreath form and attach star-shaped felt pieces. Keep it up through the Fourth of July or all summer to give your home an Americana look.

What did you attach to the back so it doesn't hang low? I like my wreaths to hang like this instead of a piece of ribbon but never know what to attach to it.
