Update: Congratulations to our winner, La Oreja D VanGogh! We’ve contacted her via email — she has two weeks to respond before we choose another random winner.

July’s second name should be “Vacation Month” — it seems like half the people I know are beach-bound in the next few weeks. Whether you’ll be sticking your toes in the sand or enjoying summer from home, you’ll love this month’s Freebie Friday giveaway: a La Sardina Camera from international analog photography shop Lomography.

Designer Manual Camera From Lomography

Analog (Film!) Cameras From Lomography

Sure, digital cameras are fun, but summer is the perfect time to experiment (again) with the wonder of manual film. This Capri Saracena model comes outfitted with a wide-angle lens and a powerful flash that includes 3 color filters, so a day at the beach (or in the backyard) will turn into a photo that’s frame-worthy. (Check out some of the shots other La Sardina photographers took with this camera.) Plus, the durable, bright deck chair fabric covering makes this camera a perfect accent piece when you’re not out snapping photos. We’ll include three rolls of 35MM film to get you started.

To enter for a random chance to win this camera, answer this month’s question in the comments below: What’s your favorite way to decorate with photography (or cameras)?

You may only comment once to be considered, and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. Void where prohibited by law. Only open to legal residents of 50 U.S., D.C. or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least 18 years of age to win. All entries (comments) must be entered between 9:00 a.m. ET on July 6, 2012 and 12:00 p.m. ET on July 9, 2012. Subject to full official rules. By leaving a comment on the blog, you acknowledge your acceptance to the Official Rules. ARV of prize: $114.53. Having photo transfers to put on pillows, blow them up and laminate for placemats, even put them on fabric for lamp shades. Just love the camera, so cute.

I like the idea of collecting photos throughout the year and making a calendar of them for the following year

I frame small photos of room specific themes. Food photos in the kitchen, towel & soap photos in the bathroom, etc.

My favorite way to display my photos is to cluster them in frames the same color that enhances the room.
