Here at HGTV, we spend a lot, I mean a lot, of time thinking, talking, and reading about design. Because of this, it takes something pretty special to capture our attention. So when I happened across the website for O’verlays and gasped at my desk, I knew I had stumbled upon something that I had to show you.

O’verlays are thin, lightweight pieces of fretwork that can be used to dress up plain Jane dressers, cabinets, even headboards. They are made to be painted and customized and come in a wide variety of patterns and sizes. The project gallery on the O’verlays website is chock full of ideas and inspiration and left me thinking of half a dozen different ways I could use this product in my own home. What do you think? Would you jazz up a piece of furniture with an O’verlay?

Wow! Went to the website and loved the photo montage of the different ways the overlays are used. They are beautiful and can dress up or change anything.
I want these for everything in life right now. It's like wallpaper/tile for furniture. <3
Game Changer! So in love!
I'm obsessed with these! I want to use some to make my closet doors look less depressing.
Putting these in the back of book cases is a great look.
Marianne, Thank you so much for liking our product. We have so much fun finding different ways to use it!! At this moment I am experimenting with putting them on the Expidit from IKEA's new Mirrored Door inserts. They will be on the blog danikacheryle.blogspot.com within the next few days. Check it out!
Yea! Cheryl.
Cheryle, we are obviously all huge fans! Great work!

Great way to spice something up without spending a ton of money or buying a new piece entirely. Super cool idea!
