Aside from buying fresh, natural foods, there are other reasons you should check out your local farmers’ market. Visiting Knoxville’s outdoor farmers’ market is one of my favorite fall pastimes. I can purchase items I don’t normally find at the store, and I’m helping out the local farming community. Plus, it’s fun! Some of my favorite finds include: challah bread, cage-free eggs and an assortment of jams.

The smell of bread and sweets always draws me to the market. Many of the vendors even offer recipes.

One of the local farms here gives out milk shots. This is especially popular with the kids.

Fresh, hand-poured coffee – need I say more?

Food isn’t the only thing at the market. I like to grab some fresh flowers for my dining room table centerpiece.

This makes me want to go to the farmer's market.
Love the atmosphere of the local farmer's market. So much fun.
I go to the farmers market every week with my Maltese. My favorite part is the cooking classes they offer and the natural treats they have for my dog.
