I must admit, I like a good bowl of cereal for breakfast from time to time. Yes, even the sugary cereals. (Sorry, mom!) When the flakes, clusters and marshmallows are gone, it seems a shame to just pitch the box. Now, with all of these crafty ideas from Pinterest, I can recycle them in other ways. Take a look at my finds and learn how cereal box projects can add a little snap, crackle and pop to your decor.

cereal box shadowboxes

Who would have guessed you could make wall art from Mini-Wheats? This shadowbox display on Taste With the Eyes is so elegant, it’s hard to imagine it came from the cereal aisle. The flowers add a fresh, textural touch.

cereal box stars

This rustic, country-chic star looks like it’s made of distressed metal, but looks can be deceiving! You can get this pricey style on the cheap by grabbing an empty cereal box and following the instructions on Grey Luster Girl.

cereal box notebooks

Put the colors and cool designs of cereal boxes front and center by turning them into notebook covers like Infarrantly Creative did here. Suddenly jotting down to-do lists and taking phone messages seems a lot more fun, doesn’t it?

cereal box storage bins

Getting organized isn’t always easy, but it can be stylish with these cereal box storage bins from Urban Nest. A fabric slipcover hides any cartoon mascots you’d rather not have gracing your shelves.

cereal box monogram letter

Yarn-wrapped monogram letters would be darling for a new baby’s nursery or make special table decor at a wedding reception. Whip some up with cereal boxes and a little help from Evie S.
