Apparently October is Caffeine Addiction Recovery Month, and though I’ll never quite kick java to the curb, I’m definitely trying to substitute green tea and yerba mate whenever possible. I’m less jittery, but I have a lot more coffee filters floating around these days. Lucky for me, there are dozens of cute uses for coffee filters posted all over Pinterest. Take a look at these finds and catch a buzz from crafting instead.

coffee filter pumpkins

It’s almost Halloween! No time to carve jack-o’-lanterns? Try your hand at these coffee filter wonders from Melissa aka The Happier Homemaker. They’re super-cute and you don’t have to get slimy pumpkin goop all over your mitts.

coffee filter roses in vase

Floral arrangements always brighten up a room, but fall isn’t always the easiest time of year to happen upon your favorite blooms. No matter! These coffee filter faux roses from Aunt Peaches make people “get the distinct impression happy things happen in this place,” and isn’t that what you want your home to feel like?

coffee filter snowflake

You folks are already looking forward to the holiday season (yeah, I see “Christmas” turning up in the site search reports!), so I’m gonna tell you right now that coffee filters will be your jam this year. Thrifty seasonal decor doesn’t get better than these three coffee filter finds, like the old favorite — snowflakes — from Heart of Wisdom. (Hint: String your snowflakes to make a curtain, as seen in our how-to article.)

coffee filter angel
You don’t need to dig out those chipped glass bulb ornaments this year. Top your tree with coffee filter snowflakes and coffee filter angels from Kaboose. Dress them up with glitter, tinsel and holly to make them feel custom.

coffee filter wreath

There’s nothing like a wreath on the door to make your home feel warm and welcoming. This fluffy take on the traditional wreath (by Craft Junkie Too) is very Winter Wonderland.

Which coffee filter craft gave you a jolt? And is there a household item you’d like to see transformed into cool decor? Suggest away in the comments below!
