While at High Point Furniture Market, the HGTV.com editors noticed an upcoming trend: cork decor. That got me thinking — maybe I can make something with my old wine bottle corks. I combined my surplus of corks and need for storage to make this cork jewelry board.

 Cork Jewelry Display

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • frame of your choice
  • wine bottle corks
  • hot glue gun and sticks
  • decorative drawer pulls
  • knife

Here’s how you do it:

1. Remove the glass and any cardboard from your frame. Replace the back of the frame.

2. Dry fit your corks before gluing. I chose to do a pattern of two vertical and two horizontal corks. Cut pieces to fit inside the frame.

3. Decide where you want to place the drawer pulls to hang your jewelry. Screw the drawer pulls in the corks. I found it easier to poke a hole in the cork with a knife first.

4. Once you’re satisfied with the look of your cork display, hot glue all the pieces to the back of the frame. Hang your jewelry on the drawer pulls for a cool display, or pin cards and memos for a stunning bulletin board.
