• Tell Your Friends

If you’ve been following along with our Color of the Month meetings, you know that we’re, ahem, very passionate about our chosen hues. But this month, we wanted to see which color speaks to YOU, our amazing readers. Check it out:

That’s right, we’re letting you choose the Color of the Month from our top three picks: Hot Pink, Glitter and Icy Purple.

Design Happens Color of the Month December

Read on to watch all three video pitches. Then cast your vote…we’ll announce the winning hue on Friday, December 7!

Option 1: Hot Pink
Our Pinterest guru Sarah (and meeting crasher/pink expert/HGTV graphic designer Hannah) pitched super-saturated Hot Pink. Their reasoning: this color easily injects modern flair into your Christmas decorations. Plus, who doesn’t love peppermint?

Option 2: Glitter
Yes, Glitter! There was much debate over whether this really qualified as a color, but envelope-pusher and resident crafty lady Marianne eventually won our votes with her talk of holiday parties, ornament making and glitter nail polish.

Option 3: Icy Purple
It makes total sense that Christmas decoration fanatic Grant pitched Icy Purple for December, since his Pinterest board is filled with stunning purple light displays. Sure, he might not have pitched it first, but the color just feels right for holiday-time.

So which color gets your vote? You have until Friday, December 7 at noon to make a choice in the poll below. We’ll announce the winning hue on Friday afternoon.

I guess I am an oldfashioned traditional person. The hot pink and icy purple are to bold. I voted for glitter.

  2. Joy says:

I voted for the icy purple…. And my tree is both the icy purple and glitter gold.

  3. Florence says:

    Icy purple gets my vote.

  4. Vanessa says:

I really love the icy purple. It totally reminded me of December snow in the moonlight. I liked glitter also but not as much contrast as icy purple. Totally eye catching.

  5. Bird says:

Glitter Rules – Especially at Christmas! :)

Glitter! Why is this even a question?

      Hi Connie,
I put aqua on my tree this year, as well! I was surprised by how good it looked with the tree and my hot pink and red ornaments.

  8. Maggie Mae says:

It has to be purple – the color of Advent!

  9. Jordan says:

    Woot Woot for glitter!

  10. Roxanne says:

Did you find out where to buy this tree?
