There’s nothing political about this, just pure fact: first lady, Michelle Obama, has some serious style. So, there’s no surprise that searches on Yahoo! for her Inauguration attire began spiking well before the big day.
On Inauguration Day, Michelle emerged with a navy-silk, checked-patterned coat and dress designed by Thom Browne, Reed Krakoff boots and J. Crew gloves. Oh, and a stunning new hairstyle, too. Bangs! Love it.

The first lady turned to Jason Wu (again!) for her custom-made Inaugural Ball gown. This flowing, “victory red” dress lit up the stage. And Mr. President looked pretty dapper too, if I do say so myself.

I thought Jackie Kennedy was the epitome of elegance.
Laura Bush. George too in fact.
Jackie.
I agree, Jackie Kennedy.
I think Michelle is the new icon – so gorgeous – and she wears american designers. Double yeahhhhhh!!!!!
I Love Mrs. Obama's style. She is the epitome of the true fashion Diva of the millenium. She is classy, beautiful and a true icon.

No one will ever top Jackie Kennedy! I liked Michelle's coat, belt and boots. The little sweater cardigan get-up under it?…Tacky, tacky; particularly considering the importance of the occasion.
Jackie!!! and Nancy Reagan was very stylish for the time.
