It's gotta be B . . .
This would be a first time that I agree with most of the posts, "B" however because I can't stand to go along with the crowd, I can totally see A going into the space because black would add some drama. It pulls the black sconces from the stairs into the room and draws your eye up to the colored light fixture.

I'd choose A because the space is so over the top, but from the pictures it looks like B was used.
