Happy Earth Day to all my MacGyvers out there! I thought that making today’s craft material something all-natural would be a nice way to honor our planet, and what’s more natural than fruit? I also noticed that babies have been on everyone’s brain, sending searches for “baby shower decorations” spiking on Yahoo! this week. Well, it just so happens that you can turn produce into pretty baby shower decorations, so this post is a two-for-one deal. Check out my favorite finds and prepare to have your mind blown by nature’s bounty…

Give your place card holders a twist of lime like AB Paperie did here. So simple, and I bet it makes the whole table smell fresh and zesty.

Use the leftover lime from the place card holders above and slice up some citrus for your centerpieces. The green and pink color combo is preppy in the best way.

What-a-melon! (Like I could resist.) Brit + Co. shows you how to tap the fruit to make a drink dispenser. (Don’t have a spigot kit? Just hollow the melon, fill with punch and grab a ladle for serving.)

Which baby shower decoration proved to be the most fruitful? And do you have any craft material suggestions for me? Leave them in the comments below!

I loved the pineapple vase, Hollowed-orange candle cups, leftover lime and the melon drink dispenser. All are very unique and innovative. But I wish I knew the technique to make those orange cups.
