Update: Thanks for playing, D-Happ readers! This month’s grand prize winner is Rosemary B, who says she’ll spend Mother’s Day grilling out with her husband, children and grandchildren. Congratulations, Rosemary — six months of flowers are headed your way!

Runners-up Pat W. and Helen have won a three-month flower subscription, while Gremol, Mel, LJsMommy, Julianna, Donna and Nancy W. have each won one double bouquet of their choice. Happy Mother’s Day, all! Come back on June 7 for another Freebie Friday giveaway.

Mother’s Day is around the corner, and if you’re like me, you’re still searching for that perfect gift. Fresh flowers are a go-to Mother’s Day gift for a reason: They’re beautiful, they smell great and they’re easy to deliver to Mom even if you can’t make it home for the big day.  That’s why we partnered with online subscription flower service The Bouqs to give 8 lucky winners free bouquets — and why we’re starting our May Freebie Fridays giveaway a week early to make sure the flowers arrive by Mother’s Day.

Win Mother's Day Flowers

The Bouqs offers a curated collection of just 40 bouquets at flat rates that include shipping to simplify the ordering process.  The flowers are grown on sustainable farms that cut blossoms when you order, ensuring the freshest possible bouquets.  You’ll find single bouquets as well as subscriptions for your monthly flower fix.

One grand prize winner will win a 6-month subscription of double Bouqs (1/month), while two runners-up will win a 3-month subscription of double Bouqs (1/month).  Another five random winners will get one double Bouq each — that’s two dozen blooms! Each winner can pick their choice of bouquet or subscription package, or send the flowers as a thank you to one of the moms in their life.

To enter for a chance to win, leave a comment on this post. This month’s question: What are your plans for Mother’s Day?

You may only comment once to be considered, and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. All entries (comments) must be entered between 4:00 p.m. ET on April 26, 2013 and 4:00 p.m. ET on April 29, 2013. Subject to full official rules. My mom lives overseas so I will call her first thing in the morning and say a prayer with her on the phone. We will both thank God for the gift of each other and for all the blessings we have in our lives. Sometimes acknowledging your mom far or near is the only best appreciation a child can give. I love you mom.

I have been saving for this spa package and yoga class that my wife always wanted. I think I will accompany her to her " special spa day" and enroll her to the yoga class she has always been mentioning.

I will cook her breakfast and serve it in bed. I will give her a full body massage because I am a Physical therapist and then let her sleep uninterruptedly for as long as she wants until she wakes up rested. I will take care of all the house chores and errands for the day.
