Congratulations to our winner, Stacey, who says that the best wedding gift she ever gave was a margarita machine to a fun-loving couple. Check back next month for another great giveaway!

We are smack-dab in the middle of wedding season — one of our very own D-Happ writers is even tying the knot this summer. (Ahem, Briana!) Once you’ve crafted that summer wedding outfit, there’s one more thing to consider: the perfect gift. If you’re still searching for something to delight the happy couple, consider this month’s Freebie Friday giveaway: A Starbucks Verismo machine that will let them (or you!) create favorite coffee shop drinks at home.

Win a Starbucks Verisimo Machine From HGTV's Design Happens Blog

The Starbucks Verismo machine crafts single-serving sizes of the same espresso drinks and brewed coffee served in the company’s stores around the world. With the machine’s specially-formulated pods, you can make everything from lattes to mochas to Starbucks’ signature coffee blends — all in the comfort of your own home.

One lucky winner will receive a Starbucks Verismo 580 machine in their choice of hue: silver, black, burgundy or champagne.  The winner will also receive 12 espresso pods and 12 milk pods.

To enter for a chance to win, answer this month’s question in the comments below: What’s the best wedding gift you’ve ever given (or received)?

You may only comment once to be considered, and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. Void where prohibited by law. Only open to legal residents of 50 U.S., D.C. or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least 18 years of age to win. All entries (comments) must be entered between 12:00 p.m. ET on July 12, 2013 and 12:00 p.m. ET on July 15, 2013. Subject to full official rules. By leaving a comment on the blog, you acknowledge your acceptance to the Official Rules. ARV of prizes: $220.90. We gave our son and new daughter in law the silver from his paternal great grandmother, paternal grandmother 's china , and my mother's(who had just recently passed away) crystal wine glasses. It all had so much sentiment since all three were no longer with us. We also gave them a new headboard for their bed so not everything was antique. :)

Simple….my KitchenAid mixer. It's lasted longer than the marriage itself!

I just got married on July 4th. The best gifts that I received from my friends were handmade. My sister in law painted us a beautiful portrait of ourselves and our dogs, my good friend made us the ring bearers pillow that we used at our ceremony and another friend had my bridal party make sharpie plates for us.

All the little things you realize over the years that people did or gave to make sure everything ce together to make a special day and that we had what we needed afterwards. But if I had to say the coolest gift I remember getting- it would be our our parents going to our honeymoon suite ahead of us and stashing all kinds of cash in the bed sheets so that when we pulled back the covers later, we were shocked to find a note and money strewn through the sheets to use on our honeymoon. It was a neat surprise! :)

I always like to personalize wedding gifts a little more than just picking something off the registry. I photographed a couple for their engagement and gave them a big frame filled with photos from our session.

My parents, in-laws paid for our wedding 22yrs ago, and we're still going strong….

My husband and I planted a garden for my best friend and her new husband. When they returned from their honeymoon they found we had filled their rundown garden with all of the beautiful flowers that she had selected for her bouquet.

Even though I'm not married yet (99 days and counting) the best wedding gift already is my fiance!! Once the gags stop… seriously though, he spoils me and treats me like princess… I always asked why I could find someone to sweep me off my feet, well he swept and has been carrying me ever since!

  9. Sophia says:

I gave the bride and groom gift certificates to their favorite restaurants so that they could enjoy date nights and have fun and remember why they got married in the first place!

The best wedding gift I have every given, which I do for every wedding, is gift a wheel-thrown piece of pottery. I typically make large serving bowls to be used for family-style dinners! All of my friends and family who have gotten married love having something homemade and functional – and nothing like it exists! I love sharing my passion of pottery always!
