BRIANA: Watch your mouth! Or hang it on walls, or adorn your sofa with it. Mouths and lips are popping up everywhere these days, from posters and prints to mugs and more. Is it a hip throwback to the days of The Rolling Stones and Andy Warhol’s Velvet Underground album art? A surrealist nod to Dali? Or is it just the feminine equivalent of the mustache? Mouth off…

KELLEY: Sorry – all I see are the lips from Rocky Horror. ;)

CAMILLE: Totally. It looks like Magenta is going to eat that Chanel bottle.

KAYLA: I can get on board with a 24K gold kiss (or 24K gold anything, really), but an open mouth on my wall? No, thanks. Also, the Stones-style spoon rest gave me chills.

LILI: I’m pro-lips as evidenced by some of my desk art:

KELLEY: Lili, you freak. I love you so much.

ALYSSA: True Blood fan? Or should I say “fanger,” as they call them on the show?

LILI: Nope, just the best Mother’s Day card ever.

Otherwise, lip-themed art totally grosses me out. (I’ll make an exception for Lili’s vamp lips.) And that spoon rest has no place in the kitchen.

JESSICA: First it’s mustaches, then it’s lips. Soon it’ll be noses, eyes and all sorts of body parts until I’m too scared to visit any of your homes. But I will admit that this gave me a giggle.

DEANNE REVEL: Giggle? That is terrifying, Jessica.

JESSICA: Oh, absolutely. It’s the most hilarious, most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen in my life and I think that if I ever saw it in person I would probably cry/laugh myself to death.

LIZ: I feel like Defend the Trend doubles as “Things Randomly Popping Up in My Nightmares.” I still haven’t forgotten those baby heads, Briana.

Seems no different than decorating with high heel shaped chairs and other barbiesque symbolism… Just the newest take on it. Not hideous, but you won't be seeing any in my house. Perhap teenaged girls will come flocking to this trend
