• Tell Your Friends

First we survived the excesses of the holiday season. Then the weather turned and much of the country has seen epic low temperatures and snow over the past week. Are you feeling a little cooped up? Is your home maybe smelling a touch on the stale side? Well I have just the thing: three recipes for natural home scents you can make in a slow cooker or on your stove top. Watch the video below for details:

These three scents will leave your home smelling fresh and are sure to clear your mind. Our scent suggestions are:

  • grapefruit, rosemary, bay leaves (my personal favorite!)
  • lemon, nutmeg, almond extract
  • lime, fresh ginger, coconut flavoring

DIY Home Scents

The possibilities are endless! I have oranges and a cinnamon stick simmering away right now and I’m invigorated by all of the citrusy goodness. Best of all, it’s all natural.

Very nice, loving ginger this is going to be my first one to make. That way I can still pretend the holidays are here! Yes, the grapefruit one sounds wonderful, a fresh look at spring.

  2. […] isn’t my first citrusy project this January (remember these DIY Home Scents?), clearly I have our color of the month on my mind. […]
