Want to give treats to your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day? Sure, you could pick up some gorgeously decorated cookies from a bakery, but what if I told you that you could make your own impressively decorated cookies with bottles of store-bought icing, sprinkles, and a toothpick? The best thing about these cookie decorating techniques is you can use them on your favorite roll-out cookie recipe or even pre-made dough from the grocery store (I won’t tell!). My favorite sugar cookie dough doesn’t have baking soda or powder in it, which helps it keep a nice crisp edge. What’s your favorite sugar cookie dough recipe?

Will that store bought icing dry hard, or do you have to keep the cookies from touching? I'm just wondering if I can stack them.

Hey Shelly! After 2-3 hours the icing hardens completely and the cookies can be stacked no problem. Thanks for watching!
