Congratulations to this month’s random winner, Zeeone! Come back on March 7 for another great giveaway.

I just returned from Altitude Design Summit, where I met fabulous makers of all sorts: jewelry designers, sewing mavens, interior designers, fashion bloggers and so much more. In addition to great panels and conversations about blogging, photography and DIY, there were some pretty amazing decorations. Check out this dessert table by HGTV.com contributor Kim Stoegbauer of the The TomKat Studio:

Paper Backdrop from Cricut Lounge

I was also blown away by the paper decor at a garden-themed party, especially this butterfly-covered dress.  The cool thing? The decor for both of these spaces was cut using Cricut’s all-new Explore cutting machine, which lets you upload your own designs or try out their pre-designed templates.

Cricut Alt Summit Party

It’s not available in stores until March 15, but you can enter for a chance to win your own right now! Read on to find out more and throw your name in the hat.

So, what’s new about the Cricut Explore? The cutting machine features a dial that easily lets you switch between materials, from paper to iron-on sheets to fabric to cardstock.

That vinyl decal you’ve been wanting? Cut it out yourself using one of the Cricut Design Space templates:

Or design your own custom template, upload it and cut it out yourself:

I'm kind of new at making things. I have my 1st grandbaby on the way and would love to be able to make all the cute iron on appliques I see everywhere. I think this machine could really make me one happy grandma.

I seek inspiration in many ways. I am a retired florist, I enjoy making caps for a pediatric hospital, scrapbooking, making personalized cards, and sewing. There is always something new to try and attempt, I find the possibilities endless!

A good friend turned me onto stamping and card making. I LOVE IT! This machine reminds me of the dye-cut ones that I've used when I've taken card making classes. I love card making so much that my desk has become my new zone for such activities… choked full of ink-pads, stamps, punches, etc. This machine would be a welcome addition to my workspace.

Being a mother of 3, I love to make my children clothes and crafts. My girls love to have matching outfits and crafts for their American Girl dolls. This would be such an amazing blessing! We are always looking for new ways to share our passion of crafts with others and this would certainly help! Especially with our next adoption fundraiser!
