St. Patrick’s Day — a holiday where I can add stout to, well, everything (even pancakes!) and wear an excessive amount of my favorite color. But most importantly, a day where I can say no to green beer and yes to Irish-inspired or just true green cocktails that are in the spirit of the holiday. Plus, let’s be honest, they just taste better.

Funny thing, Kayla, but your truly green Irish-inspired Happy Hour post reminds me of the story about a dizzy leprechaun at a Dublin pub who had one too many cucumber basil martinis and the tough, no-nonsense barmaid whom all the locals rightfully called, out of ear-shot, Bloody Rosemary.

The leprechaun, feeling a bit frisky, leaned over the bar counter and with a gleam in his eyes, whispered "Kiss me, I'm Irish."

Not at all impressed, the barmaid turned to the leprechaun, flashed a toothy grin and said, "If you're Irish, laddie, I'll give ya a few words of advice — never iron a four-leaf clover because you don't want to press your luck."

Happy St. Patrick's Day, and enjoy the wearin' of the green.
