Spring’s official start isn’t for two more days, but I’m already plotting for the new season. Case in point: I’m ready to sit down…outside…at this fresh, whimsical table featured in Lonny (via Mix and Chic.) I love every detail: The painted mint table runner, the unexpected sod placemats and the mix of floral and citrus accents.

Green and Peach Table Setting Color Palette

Blushing pastels (like our February color of the month, Pink Grapefruit) look ever-so-fresh against nearly-neon florals, citrus and springy greens. Once you’ve tried this on your tabletop, it would make a lovely gender-neutral nursery palette.

For sure, Liz, your Tuesday Huesday palette is a fresh spring tabletop look that brings new meaning to the lyrics from the song "Grazin' in the Grass!"

I can hear it playing in the background as I sit down amidst the floral and citrus accents and enjoy a springtime midday meal….

Sure is mellow grazin' in the grass
What a trip just watchin' as the world goes past
There are so many good things to see
    While grazin' in the grass

    Flowers with color for takin'
Everything out of sight in the grass
The sun beaming down between the leaves
And the birds dartin' in and out of the trees

Everything here is so clear you can see it
And everything here is so clear you can feel it
It's so real, so real, so real, so real
    Can you dig it?

I can dig it, he can dig it
She can dig it, we can dig it
They can dig it, you can dig it
    We all can dig it!

    Nice palette!

Nope. No dirt on the table, no buggies crawling out of the dirt… I could never serve anybody with this setup. Want ants with your picnic? Take the same spring color palette to a blanket & bring a basket.

I love the sod placemats, a little bug spray and fresh sod takes care of the little bugs!
