“How wonderful yellow is. It stands for the sun,” said 19th-century painter Vincent van Gogh. And he’s so right. Nothing is more bright, beautiful and summery than yellow. So on this overcast Monday, I plan on basking in this bold, lemony hue.

    I'll go for a hint of yellow, Kayla, as in the pristine white sunroom with pops of regal blue and soft yellow throw pillows. And the dreamy lemon yellow cake is a given. With temps around 104, however, I won't be basking in the sun. How I look forward to an overcast Monday, but alas, they are few and far between over here in S CA's inland valley.

  2. I love a cheerful pop of yellow and wondered why it was said in a publication, that it wasn’t a color chosen often for artwork -at least not in huge doses.
