I couldn't live without them. Why use boxes to contain gifts when you can use a reusable basket? I present gifts in them and the basket becomes part of the gift. And how wonderful one is sitting in a guest room with rolled up washcloth and towel, a few paper cups, a magazine, and some trial size personal products. My house is filled with them and used as magazine/newspaper containers, servers for bread and other snacks, hot plates, on the floor next to the toilet to hold extra rolls of TP, and on and on. Once, as an anniversary gift, I filled one with some pasta, a large jar of home-made spaghetti sauce, a loaf of bread, a bottle of wine, and two wine glasses. The possibilites are endless. I just have fun with them!
