I love warm-weather weddings, and I especially love the trends that come along with them. One of my favorites right now is rainbow sprinkles; they’re delightfully colorful and playful. Some brides have even suggested throwing sprinkles instead of rice when the couple exits. Others are covering cakes, cupcakes, macarons, cookies and cocktail glass rims in these vibrant morsels. Do you think sprinkles are a fun wedding “accessory”?

Here’s your mission: grab a cone (or bowl), add two or more scoops of ice cream, then top with an abundance of rainbow sprinkles. That’s it. Happy summer, friends!

Last weekend marked the unofficial start of summer, which means we’re getting even closer to seeing the season’s bounty of fruits and veggies. Apricots are one of my favorite summer fruits, both for their taste and nutritional value, but also for the soft yellow-orange hue that feels so perfectly seasonal. What better way to kick off the month of June?

Briana’s tropical-inspired Defend the Trend post from Friday had me dreaming of ocean waves and the coastline (which is six hours away from me). I’ve resorted to Pinterest-ing images of palm trees and ocean sunsets. That’s not a bad way to start a mid-May Monday, wouldn’t you agree? I figured I would share my favorite finds with you all.

I know a lot of people “dipped” into the guacamole and tequila early and celebrated Cinco de Mayo over the weekend, but it’s not too late to gather your friends and whip up a festive Monday night fiesta. Or you can simply make a batch of homemade fiesta-ready cocktails. Either one sounds good to me.

Sometime last year, Briana pitched this spring-y creamsicle hue for Color of the Month. While it didn’t win, it certainly garnered my vote. Its sunny and refreshing demeanor feels so perfectly in season to me. What’s your take on sherbet-inspired hues?

Cherry red lips, bright red nails, red pumps — this simple and unexpected splash of color can transform an ordinary outfit in a snap. The same goes for interiors. Just look at that glossy red front door below. It gives the entryway an entirely new personality and character that wouldn’t be achieved with plain white. And let’s be honest, can you even imagine an ice cream sundae without a cherry on top?

There’s not a single hue that makes me think of Easter more than robin’s egg blue (or eggshell blue). The name itself is so synonymous with spring and post-winter rejuvenation. What’s your favorite way to use this sweet shade of blue?

Robin’s-egg blue inspiration from HGTV.com:

…bring May flowers. I woke up to an unpleasant spring thunderstorm, and I just kept thinking, “It’s worth it. It’s worth it.” Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a nice seasonal rain every now and then, but I love starting out my week with sunshine. If I had to pick, I’d take the April rain and May blooms over a sunny Monday any day.

I’m obsessively mad about stripes. I actually have to space out my stripe wear throughout the week to make sure I don’t overdose my coworkers. Horizontal, vertical, skinny, thick, zig-zag — you can’t go wrong. And there’s nothing quite like a lovely nautical stripe to prep for loungy beach days.
