We’re in the midst of award season, and searches are buzzing for the next big show, the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, on February 10. According to Yahoo! Tour More Celebrity Homes
We’re counting down to Christmas with a new holiday party tip, decorating idea or DIY project every day until December 25. Miss a day? See all the posts here.
Have you always wanted to tour celebrity homes? What about during the holidays? I thought so. During HGTV’s Celebrity Holiday Homes, top-notch designers add festive decor to the homes of their celebrity clients. You’ll get to see the entire planning and decorating process from start to finish and the best part, the reveal. As excited as I was to see stars’ homes, I was more excited to see their reaction to fitting or … unexpected … designs. How do you think professional dancer Cheryl Burke reacted when her neutral, modern home was transformed with a palette of hot pink by designer Emily Henderson? Find out!

This year, step into the homes of Cheryl Burke, comedienne Lisa Lampanelli, singer BeBe Winans, actress Haylie Duff, musician Dee Snider and actress Tamara Tunie. See them all! Which celeb’s holiday home decor is your favorite?
GET MORE CELEBRITIES AT HOME:
I enjoy looking inside folks’ homes. When I drive by a house in the evening and their curtains are still open, I admit that I slow down (no, I’m not some creepy peeping tom). I just want to see how they have things styled (what’s on their walls?, do they have cool lamps?). I want a feel for the atmosphere that the inhabitants have created.
That same curiosity translates over to online photos of celebrity homes. I love ‘em! I could look at these images all day. Half the time I’m not even a fan of the Hollywood star, but I still want to see how they live. Not a day goes by when I don’t check the Celebrity Homes feature on HGTV’s FrontDoor.com where I can view shots like:
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne Home
Robert Redford Home
Are you curious to see how the rich and famous live? Or, are you perfectly content just checking out the neighbor’s house? (They should close their drapes if they don’t want us looking — right?).
When I initially meet with new clients, I request they bring tear sheets of their favorite shelter magazine rooms with them. Nine times out of ten, either the spaces are celebrities in their own rights, or the interiors belong to actual celebrities. The usual suspects? Jenna Lyons’ black, white and yellow Brooklyn home from Domino, Thom Filicia’s lake house, or Sarah Jessica Parker’s house in The Hamptons. Over the past year, a whole new batch of famous — or famous people’s — homes have made their way into the mix. Albeit uber-feminine, gender-neutral or bachelor-chic, here’s four different celebrity homes certain to always be ready for their closeups.
Which Rocker Calls This Home?
What do Barbra Streisand and Jonathan Adler have in common? Well…
- Streisand is star of stage and movie screen. Adler, star of the TV screen and design scene.
- Streisand and Adler both have adorable dogs in neutral hues (Samantha and Liberace).
- And they both love interior design and color.
Except orange. Barbra…not so keen on orange. Her favorite color? Burgundy. Adler…he LOVES orange, along side pink, turquoise, brown and navy. Something else they have in common? New books, available in stores now.
The final three designers divide up to create stunning new spaces for a few of our favorite celebrities: Tiffani Thiessen, Kathy Griffin and Jason Priestley. Watch a sneak peek of the celebrity home challenge, and tune in Sunday at 10/9c to see what happens.
In addition to a show on HGTV, the designers are also in a race to see who will host their own online show. Is your favorite designer in the lead?
