The new issue of Rue is chock full of wonderfully summery images, products and ideas like this charming outdoor dinner party.
Party planner extraordinaire Mindy Weiss created this sea green outdoor fête for Rue. I love how she incorporated bold pinks and oranges, colors that just scream summer, to compliment the minty green. The lush table is set with “indoor” dishes and silverware – a great tip if you want to add a fancy touch to your next open air party.
If you remember a few weeks ago, I mentioned Rue, one of my favorite online design magazines, had just published its latest issue. Now, a new title in this growing category is joining Rue on the virtual newsstand: Matchbook.
The new magazines aims to be a lifestyle publication that inspires, “women around the globe to design a life they adore.” In addition to their magazine site, they maintain a tumblr blog that is worth checking out for its visual intensity and cheerful take on beautiful design. Matchbook is definitely one to watch as it grows and evolves.
Online home design magazine Rue has just released its third issue.
From the owl silhouette on the cover to the pied à terre in Paris to an eclectically renovated brownstone, this issue is full of vibrant images that are sure to inspire. The magazine does a fantastic job of showcasing aspirational designs that you can use in your own home. If I’m ever in a position to install a free-standing bathtub, I want one just like the one on page 177.
Plus, don’t miss coverage of the Lavish party that HGTV co-hosted with Rue in Atlanta on page 16.
With help from HGTV, Studio M and Room and Board, Rue Magazine hosted a swinging shindig at Lavish!—and recorded it for posterity. So name-check yourself and your dancing partners in the comments. Come on, own up to those sparkling moves!
