Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year, because I have the most wonderful family to spend it with. Plus, there are some recipes my grandmother and mother only pull out once a year. Annual traditions are what make the holiday so special to me. What are some of your favorite Thanksgiving traditions? What are some you hope to start this year?

It’s not even Halloween, and I have turkey on the brain. As I sit here daydreaming of next month’s Thanksgiving feast, our neighbors to the north are spending today watching football, parades, devouring delectable food and giving thanks with friends and family. That’s right, while some of us in America have Monday off for Columbus Day, it’s Thanksgiving in Canada, signifying the close of the harvest season. Similar to American traditions, Canadians decorate for Thanksgiving with pumpkins, corn, wheat sheaves, gourds and other seasonal decor. I know, I know. I’ve been filling your minds with Christmas decor and now I’m on a Thanksgiving kick, but can you blame me? So, here’s a taste of some gorgeous Thanksgiving inspiration. It is fall after all, so I’m not entirely off base. (And Happy Thanksgiving, Canada. Enjoy your football and feasting!)

It’s here, it’s here! Well, almost. For me, Thanksgiving means eating my mom’s cooking until I can’t move, wrestling for control of the TV remote with my dad (holiday shows verses football games) and, of course, decorating the house with warm, nature-inspired autumnal decor. Thanksgiving is only 21 days away, which means you have a mere three weeks to fill your home with that cozy, fall feeling before family and friends arrive. Here are some of our favorite Thanksgiving decor ideas sure to delight you and your guests.
