Come to Kentucky
We’re seeing a lot of support for an HGTV Dream Home in the lush, rolling hills of the Bluegrass State.
“Forget the water! Kentucky has some rolling hills and bluegrass to enjoy.”
“Kentucky, Barkley Lakes, with beautiful sunsets and best sailing in the Midwest.”
“The beautiful clear Lake Cumberland in Somerset, Kentucky, would make a wonderful place for the 2008 dream home. You could have all the beauty of mountains, trees, water and the all the bluegrass you could ever want.”
We’ll certainly keep these and other locations in mind for future sites, but the HGTV Dream Home 2008 is not going to have a Kentucky address.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for a special video postcard from HGTV house planner Jack Thomasson!

4 Seasons, why not shoot for Northern Arizona, In-land surf. Drive north for snow and south for the sun. Lots of historic sites and beautiful sunsets. Check it out, go west young man/woman, go west.
Maine is one of the most beautiful states in the U.S.! Please be there. There are wonderful lakes, parks, mountains, beaches, you name it! And if you want, a trip to Canada is only a few miles away.
HGTV is my favorite program….2008 Dream Home should be on the coast, such as Hawaii, Oregon, California….any where by the ocean…
Idaho,Lewiston or Coldville Washinton
they have beutifull contry
Southren Oregon would make a nice place. Or even central Oregon. Both have great fishing and year round sports.
Arizona would be nice, I really think Michigan may be the the next winning Home to be built, probably on Lake Michigan, It needs to be where winter is not quite so COLD!!!!
Tennessee would be a wonderful place to have the next Dream Home with the Smokey Mountains for a view.
MY 50TH BIRTHDAY DREAM HOME; I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A DREAM HOME IN KENTUCKY. I HAVE 5 BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, WHO ARE 27, 26,24,20,17, AND ONE BEAUTIFUL GRANDSON WE NEED TO RELOCATE TO A BEAUTIFUL STATE. WHAT A DREAM HOME THIS WOULD BE. WHEN WE WIN,THIS IS THE STATE. TO LOVE, GO AHEAD AND BUILD IT IN KENTUCKY. SEE YOU THERE!!!!!
I wish that the next dream home will be in Hana Maui! Of all the Hawaiian islands, I think Maui is the most beautiful and Hana is my favorite place in the world. It is a hidden paradise! My husband and I has been working hard so that someday we will have our own dream home but what can be better than a home built by HGTV!

I am 23 and I live in Kentucky with my grandmother. I will probably never have the opertunity to own my own my own home. It has been a dream since I was like alive, because I have always lived in trailors or run down houses. I love Kentucky, and if its in Kentucky and I win I would not have to move so far. I couldn’t never leave the kids in the Outreach program that I help.
I would just like to introduce you to the central Kentucky area of Campbellsville, home of the beautiful Green River Lake http://www.campbellsville.com also the home of one of the Tim Horton childrens foundation camps, and close to the Louisville area. I feel you would be enchanted.
The Louisville Ky area is a great place for the 2008 HGTV home. With the future plans for the downtown area, there will be even more to see and do. The unique restaurants and friendly people are the best. It will be a fantastic place. Consider a spot overlooking the river.
It won’t be Kentucky, but maybe the Tennessee side of Kentucky Lake! Count me in for that!
You know I would think Barkley Lake or the Land Between the Lakes would be a great place for the next Dream Home Give-a-way. I will let you all visit if I win. lol Maybe the Federal Govenment can throw in somme land. Ha
Would love for you to come to Kentucky especially Glasgow, Kentucky. This was just listed in the 2007 Progressive Farmer as the number one Rural area to live in the United States. Somewhere along Barren River/Lake would be beautiful. Central location and able to visit all of Kentucky’s wonderful sites…. Let’s go to KY that’s Glasgow, KY…PLEASE!!!
LET IT BE ALABAMA IT HAS SOME OF THE MOST WONDERFUL SITES IN THE U.S. RIVERS, MOUNTIANS,TREES YOU CAN’T FIND ANY BETTER
I grew up in Kentucky and now I live in Michigan. I have lived here for 14 years. So I have had my taste of both these states. I hope the new dream home for 2008 is out west somewhere where it is not to cold in the winter and fells great in the summer.
Warren county KY area would be a great place for a dream home but so would the Smokey Mountain area in TN. Both areas have a great deal to offer. However, since I live in IN, Floyd Knobs ( located in Floyd County) would be a beautiful place for a dream home. It would fit in with the surrounding
area.
Ah Virginia is for Lovers, and we have it all from beaches to blueridge, Appalachian trail Creeper Bikeriding trail trout fishing camping hunting, golfing and swiming all around Damascus, Va. Come to Virginia Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee Virginia Kentucky and Tn three prettiest southern states

I hope in 2008 you pick Kentucky. MARSHALL COUNTY WOULD BE A BEATUIFUL SPOT ON THE LAKES. WE HAVE GOOD FISHING BLUE GRASS AND BEATIFUL SUNSETS.
Definately should pick Kentucky for 2008. The beautiful horse farms is some of the nicest real estate anywhere in the world. Feel free to search at http://www.KYHorseProperties.com join in the discussion at http://www.KYHorseChat.com or at http://www.KYHorseBlog.com Colorado is nice for winter sports – but nothing can beat Kentucky’s bluegrass.
I hope the next HGTV Dream Home Giveaway is at Lake Barkley Kentucky. I live in Paducah, KY, about thirty minutes from the area. I have lived here my whole life, and have traveled to a lot of places, but I keep coming back home because Kentucky is the most beautiful place on Earth.
