1. My daughter and I live at home with my mother, who is 63, I am 43 and my daughter is 11. My mother drives a school bus for the handicapped, and I am unable to work at this time. Our house burnt down in August, I would love to be able to give my mom something as beautiful as the House in the Keys. Thank you for the chance to even try for this great gift.

   I like that it is not too big, on the beach and very casual.
   I live in dank pittsburgh in a 1950′s ranch and it is just not me at all.. I am a beach woman.. I need this for my life to be complete.. I have faced down cancer, several bone surgeries, and hardship of all kinds.. this is my time to win… thanks for the great house HGTV.. !! I will be right down to get the key!

5. I just wanted to say that this years dream home is amazing, but not very practical. I mean I’m just used to the contemporary home where all of the living space is on one floor and the sleeping space is on another. I don’t like the idea of walking up and down the stairs just to get a bite to eat. I wished the first floor had a kitchen and a dinning area also, it would have been more convenient. And I also wanted to comment on the issue of being able to really keep the house if you win. My question is, why would HGTV spend so much time, money, and effort into building a dream home if they never intended for the winners to actually live in it?? I’m not complaining and I do think it would be a blessing to win a free home and vehicle, but what dream would it be if I spend my time worrying about how I’m going to pay for my expenses. I have never owned a home, so I have no idea about the millions of paperwork and legality of it all. I would love to live in a home given for free, not have to put it up for sale and then have to search for a new home. Moving from one place to another is stressful enough, but having to move again and starting over again is a nightmare!! yikes:\

8. I posted this note previously on another site “Dream Home on line – Jack’s video”. I thought this might be a positive way of making everyone excited about Dream Home again.
   Here’s a thought!
   This is mainly for the directors and big wigs in charge of “Dream Home”. To all other “Dream Home” FANATICS – comments are welcome and even encouraged.
   How about changing the format entirely and making the next show a really true “Dream Home”. Have your contest where the “Winner” actually chooses the location (maybe you can offer a choice of 2 or 3 different locations and/or types). Then the winner actually works with the Architect and designers to build the “Winner’s” actual “Dream Home”. Of course, a budget would be assigned to the project. Maybe the budget would be on a sliding scale dependent upon the location chosen. Then viewers may have an opportunity to decide which is more important or “Dreamy” to them, the House incidentals or location. The building of the home can be shared interactively (being that is the new wave of things!) experienced with viewers giving suggestions or maybe even submitting designs as an additional contest, those chosen – WIN!! something. I have so many aspects/ideas that could fly with this idea, and I’m sure other viewers can come up with even more. However, since it seems like I had nerve to suggest it – I definitely would like to be given the credit from the network. Maybe a job? (LOL) Credits with some monetary value? (LOL)Regardless,
   I really think this has merit as being the “DREAM HOME” we would all love to win and maybe even be able to afford to keep.

11. I was just thinking the other day how nice it would be to live in the Florida Keys. I think that the kitchen is a bit small and the fridge in the pantry, not really liking that. I did notice Fiestaware in the cabinet above the toaster. Liking that a lot as I am a collector. Not liking the fact that the kids room is on the first floor as I have a 6 year old. I would put her in the guest room and make the kids room the guest room. I can just see myself looking out toward the water drinking a rita. Ah, so could this be my year? I hope so.

19. I love my small town in West Texas, I have great neighbors, church and low cost of living. You can still buy a nice home for around $50,000. – $75,000. I would choose to sell the dream house and invest the money. I would stay in my home, buy a vacation home and start a charitable trust. It would be only one of many blessings in my life.

23. I love all the shows on hgtv, but nothing can top this gorgeous dream home. This house will be the best thing that had ever happened to my husband, 2 teenagers, our dog, and I. When we win this house (and we will)this will be our first time moving as a family My dream house is a walking distance to a clean, crystal clear water, beach. A climate that is warm all year round and NO SNOW!!! All i have to say that my dream home is this one in Key West, Florida. HOPE WE WIN!!!!!!!!

    i could see myself sitting there in the evenings with my husband sipping a glass of wine watching the sunsets,our favorite time of day. and my grandchildren playing in the sand and tucking them in their beds.

32. Hello this is my first time posting on the HGTV dream home. I am not entering this year. I think it is the worst house I have seen yet. I looked at the Kitchen Who puts the fridge in the Pantry. You would think that at hgtv they would understand the kitchen work triangle and they sure don’t have it here. Who would put there children on the ground floor while the parents are on the third floor or if the children are just visiting there parents on the second floor and grandparents on the third floor. The house is nice but not spectacular as other houses in the past have been, the decor is not remarkable or memorable in any way and what happened to all the outdoor living spaces the have always been there at other houses, a patio with a table a chairs is nothing special. I have also noticed that the guest bedroom has a closet, or what they are calling a closet and the kids bed room doesn’t kids wear cloths also, including hanging cloths. In my opinion not your best effort HGTV. One other thing the outdoor shower, No privacy yes i would be in a swim suit but if I am rinsing the ocean off at my own home I dont want the neighbors watching.

34. i love the master bedroom on the third floor. you’re able to get away from it all. the view is terrific. i plan to win powerball and the dream home in the same week, so taxes will be taken care of. then i’ll have a huge party, fly down my family and friends….then it is time to retire from teaching. Living in such a cold climate makes a person appreciate the true beauty of the Florida Keys. We have been there many times on vacation and it is truly a paradise. This is my first time for posting..I entered a few years back and then this year after I seen this house I had to enter again..I Really,Really Love the house also and it would be a dream come true.Like the others I can already picture myself standing in this kitchen over the sink cooking for my family while checking out the ocean..hehe Of course like others it is a dream because my hubby has been in the army serving his country for 19 years and will be retiring soon and I just can’t see us being able to pay all those fee’s on a retired soldiers Pay and I don’t work because I take care of our 4 little boys,Also
    We would have to put 2 boys on the first floor(One is a sleep walker.UGH) and the other 2 babies on the 2nd floor in the guest room so I would be freaked out all night long as I tried to sleep on the 3rd floor. hehe But it is a beautiful home and I pray that we will be by the ocean somewhere too oneday in a cheap cute cottage..GoodLuck to all and I hope God Blesses the winner with the income to afford this beautiful home or atleast somone ready and eager to buy it from you or me..hehe.GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS. *HUGS YA BUNCHES*

43. hello, HGTV, I have watch the show build so many beautiful homes and i’ll pretty sure alot of wonderful people who have won them deserve it. It would be an incredible, amazing, tear dropping, adrinaline rushing, came not believe it feeling for me and my family. I have sad story all so, but im not going to share them just to win. Unfortunately I had to leave and am now a resident of Palm Beach County. 49. i have visited islandmorada only once in my life. I thought your home would suite me perfect because I am a single mom of 4 and I do have a big family. We all could go down and stay their lots because I never get to see my children much. They do not visit me because their’s not enough room in my home for them to stay. Also I am a hot weather person the cold really gets to me and my arthiritis in shoulders and back. So the hot whirlpool tubs and the warm air and night air would do me good. I know it get me well. I really can’t afford to buy one their but God wants me to live in this place. He told me it would be perfect for my big family. Thanks so much
