Good morning, America!! We can’t complain when something is given. A gift is a gift. I love HGTV! I wouldn’t care if they are no other shows or channels. People! STOP with the “requirements” and …the “soapy…sad stories” …- This is by luck. Like winning the lotto. Let’s be positive and Thankful! …and let’s learn all we can about being “green” and contribute to saving our planet. If you think you can’t move. Don’t enter the contest. If you already own a home or two (or three). Let’s be nice and enter once a week (INSTEAD OF EVERYDAY)and let the ones that do not own a home to enter every day. (This is all I can think of for the ones that write sad stories)and if you don’t like the design or the Designer. Don’t enter then. Stop complaining, be thankful and be positive. Good Afternoon! My husband and I have vacationed in Hilton Head many times and loved it. The climate in prefect and beautiful. My husband and I are both fighting cancer. My husband has non-hodgens lymphoma and I have had breast cancer. My husband was suppose to live 2-5 years but he has out lived that time; it is going on for almost nine years.He feels tired at times but keeps on going. I don’t have breast cancer now. I would love to win the green home for a dream for my husband. The home exterior and interior are beauiful. Thank you for your time in reading this note. Hi Everyone! I too have been entering for this house. I try to once a day, but sometimes I either forget or don’t have the time since I work full time. I sure am looking for retirement soon enough and OUT of California would be a welcomed pleasure. It indeed is a beautiful home. I love watching HGTV. It’s a lot better than the terrible news that mostly dominates the airways now days. If I win, I win, if I don’t, I don’t. I figure someone has to win, hope it’s me – I’ll worry about the taxes, etc. later. It would all be very well worth it. Thanks, HGTV!
I love love this house. This is my dream home. This is the most beautiful house I have ever seen. The layout of this house is woundiful. The ideas in this house are fantasic. I love the fact of using old items and rebuilding them into a new life form. My soon to be husband, Teddy, and I are getting married this year on Aug. 8th. This would be the perfict wedding gift. All our money is going to the wedding so we cant buy a house for awhile. We hope soon because we want to start a family, and if we win this house we can start our family. This also would be woundiful to win because it is not to far from Teddy’s parents, we can see them alot. Then my mother, stepfather, brothers and sister will always have a vacation spot to come and stay in the extra rooms. My father will see the beautiful green home form heaven, RIP. I really hope I win this house to help Teddy and I get a new fresh start in life. Life has been very hard for the both of us. I almost die New Year Eve. I had to get my golbladder removed, it was all full of poision. So I spent my New Years Eve at the hospital, and I lived Thank God. Teddy lost his career. He was a car machanic and he lost his fingure. They were able to put his fingure back on but he cant really do anything with it. He had to go back to school to get a new trade because he cant use that hand that well. So we both been through very rough times but we got through it together. So I really hope we win this house so we can wipe our plates clean and start all over again nice and clean. Good luck to everyone.

Today was the first day that my entry for the Green Home Giveaway would not go through. When I hit the final enter, it came up that the page had expired, and I thought you could enter until May 9, 2008? What’s up with that?

I just watched the tour of the HGTV Green Home. I love the organic linens, the pine cone vase, and the spacious areas. My husband loved the fact of reusing the rainwater and solar panels. He is really into saving and reusing and rebuilding that he can. Energy efficient is what he likes. I love all the rest. Linda and Jack are amazing together when coming up with the ideas and plans on the inside and outside of the GREEN HOME. WOW! Carter, I love the table that you built. The reused furniture is a great idea, I loved the seating and shoe storage at the entry way. By the way, great idea on the bins for recycling. You have totally sold me on this home. It is not only beautiful but serves a great purpose for our future. My husband, children, grandchildren and friends love the water and the Hilton Head area. We are so excited that this could happen to anyone. That you are giving the chance in a lifetime for someone to win this beautiful home and everything included. Thank you, Jackie from Ohio
I enter for this new one about the 3rd day and haven’t been able to enter after that. I went to the site and theirs nowhere to log in so that I can enter daily it’s been a whole month now. Do you log the area where people are registering from and if their registering from a certain area are you blocking them from entering daily?
I saw the dream home in South
carolina and I remembered living in Orangeburg when my parents sent me to Northfield to go to school. I am now sick and broke, but feeling somewhat better in DC and thought how I could retire and live if I had a dream ho me. My father was never that nice to me, but my retirement could be, possibly, i am a lawyer and have not found work in DC yet. Gwynette People have been good to me sometimes and I don’t want to seem ungrateful.

I just noticed where mine and a few others comments were erased…why because we mention widows and or single mothers, fathers, not winning the dream homes. That just seems a bit unfair to me. This is a blog for opinions right?
I love the home as much as the next person, it just seems my chances are a lot slimmer than others because of that even though I did enter everyday. I love your show. I am addicted to it.
