  1. Come to Hawaii. I also want to do something nice to my fiance..we are getting married on Sept 20 on the island of Lanai. I would love to suprise him with a great master bedroom or a great outdoor swimming pool. That would be my wedding present for him.

  5. I am both disappointed and surprised Greensburg, Kansas, recently completely destroyed by a tornado was not chosen as a building site. They have bound together and decided to build a GREEN city. What an opportunity for HGTV to shine. Greensburgs “crime” is not being in a sexy location, with beaches, rich people, high prices, crime, smog, etc. Their only claim to fame is raising the wheat and cattle for your dinner tables.

  6. Just saw where it is. Yeh! Would have been happier in Napa but Sonoma is nice too, less touristy. Ledson Winery & Chateau St Jean in Kenwood is so close too! Double yeh! Can’t begin to think what the taxes will be on this one – a doghouse in CA costs $1/2 million. It’ll be nice to be closer to my wine clubs and cave dinners. Ooh baby, I’m packed and ready….

  9. I think this is a wonderful place for the next HGTV dream home. California is beautiful!!

A suggestion for a location for 2010 Dream Home is Sedona, AZ. Totally different from the other dream home locations with beautiful scenery.

  17. I have logged thousands of hours watching HGTV and learned a lot through Osmosis. I ventured off and have tiled 2 bathrooms and installed a wood floor/sanded and finished it.(and I’m a girl) I noticed the colors of the 2009 DreamHome so far happen to be my favorites so, I figure it could happen.

  18. Wow, love the location. Sonoma is one of my favorite vacation spots. It also could become my favorite place to live. As Arnold and Maria Schwartnigger say in their commercial “what are you waiting for come over”, this might just be the time to do it. Miracles do happen. Right?
