I would love to win this Dream Home. I was told I couldn’t have kids and now have a daughter and would love for my fiance and I to have this home. It would be a nice treat for family and friends to go and get away.

I would love to win this home and move to S.C. I am retired and desperately want to move out of Baltimore, Maryland. The crime here is getting worst. I want to move where it is safe and peaceful for the remaining of my life. After I pass I could leave my only son a great legency. My son had an axident and lost a thumb. Therefore it is difficult for him to get a good paying job, though he does work as a cashier in a store. He would not qualify for a home on his own these days.
I love the south , born in Gerogia , would love to win this beautiful home, so I could be closer to my family , I love HGTV, I cant stop watching it , a good addiction, praying I win!!Thanks for all the great programs you presentd to us.

This house looks absolutely amazing. It’s obvious that an incredible amount of creativity and hard work went into this house. My family and I have tried our best to green up our home but it can be costly. It would truly be a dream if the new house had a 2nd bedroom on the lower level and an easy acccess entry way so elderly parents or the disabled could enjoy the 2009 dream house too.
I have heard Green is Healing , I am in my late season of life , and live in a rent home , after losing my only Daughter and then my Husband , a Nice Green change would be wonderful .
I watch so much HGTV , that friend ask me what color will make it pop.
It is great how you give people hope with these Homes and each year make dreams come true .

Dear fcole: Although I am over joyed at the thought of living in Sonoma, I also know that the HGTV Green Home would create harmony and balance in my living environment. I love a home with Feng Shui, which translated literally means “wind” and “water”. “The green house” is just phenomenal and what a wonderful giveaway. My husband, son and I have been coming to Hilton Head, on vacation for the past 17 years and we have always had a great time. We plan to retire in SC, so should we win, it would be a dream come true.

Hi all – I assume that everybody knows that the winner of the HGTV houses – Dream and Green – are randomly choosen. My question is this. Why do so many bloggers feel the need to relate each and every hardship they have ever encountered in their lives? This does not improve your chances of winning and I for one enjoy reading the blogs about everyone’s plans and ideas for the house without the sorry sob stories. Let’s keep it positive people, The winner will be whoever wins regardless of whether or not anyone feels it is deserved. I will wish the winner congratulations and be very envious if it isn’t me. But that’s life. Goodbye.

Hello fcoles! just thinking no matter the end results of the 2009 Dream Home it will be MARVELOUS!!! Maybe we can whisper ever so sweetly in Jacks ear little hints, request to consider, those little things that make a house a dream home like an antique or reproduction Carousel Horse. I adore carousels.
One of my favorite hobbies is working on my San Franciscan Victorian Doll House, a labor of love. Because many enjoy their very own personal hobbies, sewing, quilting, crafts, candle making working with wood, painting a “Creative Studio” with huge windows & french doors that open up allowing the outside in separate from the main house nestled amongst beautiful gardens and a water feature with a dial to adjust the lighting/water flow depending on ones mood. Not forgetting the latest in Green Houses. Possibly a small wine/olive oil cellar underneath the studio. Few grapevines, olive trees, lemon, lime, couple palms.
Jack, may have already incorporated custom features of his own, possibly other request off this blog, how about a small well stocked/designer personal salon/spa with barber/beauty chairs hidden off in some nook, cedar sauna/tanning booth, home gym as well.
How about a beautiful hand carved Grand Daddy Clock with angelic sounding chimes, or a classical Baby Grand Piano center stage in a music/ballroom. I can hardly wait to see the up coming Sonoma home design reveal, LA VILLA THOMASSON. Sogni d’ oro – Sweet Dreams.
