IT WOULD BE SO WONDERFUL TO LIVE IN A HOME THA IS FINISHED INSIDE AND OUT, TO HAVE EVERYTHING SHINING, BRIGHT AND NEW. EVEN THOUGH MY HOME ALL 900 SQ FT. HAS SEVERED IT PURPOSES, IT STILL WOULD BE EAST TO SAY GOOD BYE TO WINNING THAT WONDERFULLY MADE GREEN HOME THERE IN SOUTH CAROLINE. What a wonderful thing your doing giving away this home. Ofcourse like everyone else we hope its ours, we started our home in a garage, we’ve made it a ok and even a nice home but there are so many things the green home offers that we don’t have like a level floor, no step up to the bathroom or bedroom from living area and another bath when the kids visit, to many things to list.Hoping you and God bless us with this home.

Marie Miller: Your post on feng shai was interesing, but I wonder how the people of China are feeling about their current disaster. I’m sure it’s not about where to place their furniture, but how to recover their dead and bury them, if they find them. The same with Myanmar. Don’t mean to rain on anybody’s parade, but a prayer or two wouldn’t hurt for the souls of the departed. I thought the HGTV Green Home was located in South Carolina? The video shows the home being located in Florida. What's up with that? Just wondered. Is there a house being given away in both states? She is a widow. we have been in the states for about 10 years. we have a modest townhome. i entered the sweepstake so maybe with god’s help my mother can win. Good Morning fcole: Just wondering…while we are waiting for an update with Jack on the progress of the building of our 2009 Dream Home, could it be possible to get results of all the clues leading up to the location..an explanation of each? Some of them were pretty obvious, but others still leave questions in my mind…especially the dice on the monopoly board…I still think it had to do with the location.
Anyway, I hope the crew on-site in Sonoma withstood the high temperatures last week…we even had recorded highs of 106 degrees here in Brookings, Oregon…we are right by the ocean & could not believe how hot it got!! Talk about “Global Warming!!” Well, okay let’s do talk about it…here are some thoughts for the day: We all contribute to global warming when we do things like heat and cool our homes, drive our cars, and fly on airplanes. The good news? Being Green empowers you to take an active role in neutralizing your carbon emissions and reducing your impact on global warming. Simply start by decreasing the energy you use each day!!! Together we can make a world of difference!!

FCOLE: Just wondering have the plans arrived? It’s still raining at this end of the state and downright cold. Lows in the 30′s, highs in the 50′s, with the holiday approaching it may get near 70 yipee!

I think it would be great if HGTV let us vote on the floor plan and decorating of the next HGTV Dream Home. I’ve been following the DIY Blog Cabin and not only is it nice to be able to have your input, but great to see it all come together with the things we have chosen. Since I’ve had so much fun with the Blog Cabin I think voting on a Dream Home and getting the input of all who would be entering would be totally awesome. HGTV does a wonderful job on choosing the location and building the homes. I’m not complaining, just had a thought about how nice it would be to help design a Dream Home.
My daughters Angela and cassandra moved to South Caroilna and I live in New Jersey and miss them so much. Since my operation it is pretty hard get get to see them and if i won this home then I can see them all of the time and my life would be great again. My daughters are the greatest young ladies in the world and they are all that I have. I wish everybody the best of luck.
I loved the green home in South Carolina.We are an older couple who inhereited 2 grandchildre to raise. would love to learn to live green so there will be a wonderful world for them. HGTV is my favorite channel to watch.

I just found out that he had a malignant tumor removed. The doctor gives him a positive prognosis, and that he got all the cancer, however, I would appreciate it if you would all add him to your prayer list. With five children, eight grandchildren two great grandchildren a husband, sister and brothers Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays and all sunday dinners. What a day when we move in. We will have company year around.

Good Morning fcole: It is Friday & the beginning of the Memorial Day celebrations!! I have to admit, it isn’t like past Memorial Days here in Brookings, Oregon! We cannot believe the impact that the soaring gas prices have had on our little town!! By now, all the parks would be overflowing with RV’s & campers, and the parking lots in front of “Fred Meyers” would be packed full with visitors loading up on groceries, and all the locals would be complaining about the traffic!! But, instead we see very few RV’s coming in and through our town. Oil prices are at a level where consumers reduce consumption voluntarily (or should I say by necessity)! The soaring fuel prices and the faltering economy, have certainly transformed the way people travel! So, instead of traveling somewhere distant, my husband and I are settling in close to home, looking forward to our “Memorial Day Parade” and a “Pancake Breakfast” at the Elks Lodge on Sunday morning…what could be better? Oh, maybe winning the 2009 Dream Home in Sonoma, California…then I would be celebrating Memorial Day with my family 20 minutes away..instead of 6 hours away and/or too many dollars at the gas pump!! I am truly excited about this opportunity of maybe winning this beautiful home. I am in process of a divorce and I ended up leaving my home and my business which was in the home. Sometimes you have to make a decision to let some things go that can be replaced, there is nothing like peace. I know no matter what me and my son’s will have our own home again and this home could possibly be it.
