  3. hello, i was reading the comments from some of the people who have replied for your dream home 2009, i think it would only be fair if a spectacular home like this would go to a wounderful family that truely needs it and needs a get away from there area. Every one on here sounds like they have won it or are trying to make it there own, and i am sure that what ever the designers do will be more than ok and some of these people seem well off where they live now, but those that dont. i hope that you win, because i know that you must really need it more than anything and this house i am sure might relieve some of your burdens. Only because that area seems so great to raise a family or to grow old. Im am sure that house will have great memories for any one who enters it. Good luck and god bless- Ashley

  7. It’s California so please some nice California contemporary style. It should look like 2009, not 1909. Clean and airy works for me along with skylights throughout. Attention to energy and green construction would be nice. Maybe an herb garden outdoor with an outdoor kitchen and entertainment space as well as wine storage inside and out (wine fridge and cellar space, nothing too fancy but useful). Lap pool would be a dream all right with an adjacent jacuzzi. Deck or patio space off of master. Good luck to everyone!

  8. Just read the comment posted by Leslie Finn (Oct 31) The wine fridge, cellar space, and herb garden are great ideas. I have family in the area that grow herbs and some vegetables too; the weather is perfect for gardens. Of course we all know about the popularity of wines there. A hot tub/jacuzzi and maybe an outdoor fireplace would also be nice additions.
Marie Miller seems to know exactly where to find the dream home. I would like to know the exact location as I am going to be at my daughter’s home in the area for Thanksgiving and would love to visit the site in person when I am there.
It would be incredible to win the home. I will be retiring from teaching next year and I can’t imagine a better retirement home than one so close to my daughters and grandchildren. I’m definitely ready to get away from the big city atmosphere. The dream homes in past years have been fabulous, but way to far away from family.

  10. I live on the same street as the the 2009 Dream Home and have walked by it every day and watched the building process. All the workers have been so nice and friendly and eventually recognized me each day. All I can say is that the home fits in perfectly in our neighborhood. Living in Armstrong Estates is like living in another time of earlier days gone by. Whoever wins this home will be blessed to live in the most beautiful and peaceful community in California.
    Good luck to all!

  11. I enter every year in every home giveaway. I am just wondering how someone is selected? The homes are always so beautiful. Even though I would have to move our family of 8 and covert some space to bedrooms it would be a definite dream home. i enjoy seeing people win and getting a chance to live mortgage free. We all dream of the day when our mortgages will be paid n full. I look forward ot seeing the finished product and entering to win. Good luck to all.
