What’s in Those Drawers?
Good afternoon, bloggers!
Someone recently posted a fabulous suggestion. He or she wanted a “sneak peek” inside the drawers and closets of HGTV Dream Home. (I am so sorry — I don’t remember who posted the question. I couldn’t find the original query, as there are so many blog posts and questions now.) I was back at the HGTV Dream Home on Friday and took these pictures of what you will find in some of the kitchen drawers as well as one of the pantries.

Every time I go inside the home, I notice something different and special. I hadn’t spent much time in the guest bathroom, but was so impressed by its spa-like feel during this most recent visit.
Tamara, thank you for your question about how the mailed entries are counted for the drawing. I will definitely find out the answer when I go to Knoxville to witness the sweepstakes drawing. I will report back then!
Your Super Fan,
Gail
P.S.: Should the suggested party for bloggers be hosted by the HGTV Dream Home 2009 winner, I will absolutely be there with dessert in hand. Sorry, Coop, it won’t be lemony — chocolate desserts are my specialty. I will also bring my corn and heirloom-tomato salad.

I just adore this dream house. I look at it daily, but I don’t check out the blogs as often. One thing that I have not found in my reviews of the home is the inside view of the first floor bathroom. I got a quick glimpse of the door opening and closing during the 90 sec. tour. Can you show me what’s inside?
I just took a quick glance at some of the blogs, and WOW! so much excitement to read, also so many great comments. I have been so excited about the house and dreaming of living in the Sonoma area, but its really kind of scary when you think of all those taxes. In one of the blogs there is a suggestion to help the winner pay for them. That’s a great idea. Is HGTV not going to help the winner with this? If not, this win could very easy be a hardship. Thanks, but no thanks.
Boo hoo…one more day I AM GOING TO MISS THIS….BUT KEEPING MY EYE ON THE PRIZE….as I’m sure we all are. I’D LIKE TO SAY HOW GREAT IT IS TO KNOW THAT THEY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING…..ALL THE AMENITIES ONE WOULD NEED TO JUST MOVE IN…ARE IN PLACE…JUST A LITTLE SHOPPING FOR PERISHABLES…SOME PERSONAL THINGS….AND ONE WOULD BE SET TO GO….I WOULD HAVE TO BRING A TON OF BOOKS….SOME READ…SOME JUST WAITING…..I HAVE A PASSAGE WAY TO THE SOLARIUM/DINING ROOM IN MY HOME AND IT IS CALLED ‘OUR LIBRARY’ AND IT’S OVERFLOWING….I HAVE ACTUALLY PONDERED ABOUT WHAT BOOKS TO BRING TO THE SONOMA HOUSE AND WHICH TO KEEP IN THE LOS ANGELES HOUSE…MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE FIVE DAUGHTERS….AND ALTHOUGH MOST ARE ON THEIR OWN….(thank you!) I can see us going from place to place….and enjoying the bounty and the pace of Sonoma. I mentioned earlier I have a children’s store down here and love love the idea of opening a store in Sonoma….
Leslie congrats on your husband’s job!
Lovelykitty if there is an issue with fences and maintaining the area I am pretty sure they would not allow donkeys. Haa-haw-hee-haw.LOL
Good luck to all of you. 1 more day,WOW. I’ll be so excited for whomever wins. I intend to send my congrats card and certainly no less than $1.00 unconditionally to the winner, and hope you all will join me in doing so.
The excitement is at a crescendo now! After entering the sweepstakes everyday and reading the blogs I can hardly wait for the winner to be announced! Good luck to all who have entered and may I say, they get my dollar! But, by chance should I win….. Ya’ll are invited to the party!!
Oh, and I forgot…. HAPPY belated Birthday, Debbie Lee
Hello once again, I’m also new to blogging, but sure have enjoyed reading everyones’ comments. WOW !! one more day left !!! I cannot wait to be ambushed. I read someone elses’ blog saying she should get her hair done just in case. I think I’ll do the same.. God bless us all.
Just had to become a blogger at the last minute–just in case I win! It’s so cold here in PA, I would love to move to CA. Good luck to all!
Let’s all meet at the Sebastiani vineyard, after the winner is announced, either to drown our sorrows or salute the winner.
Wow! Never even thought about whats in the drawers. Even though I did look, I did not blog this site. Wow! so many people responding. How much more can the HGTV team give? Wow, looking in the drawers was so amazing, so beautiful, absolutely perfect for this setting for this house, in this setting of Sonoma, WOW! By the way, I’m sure you have your own way of finding the winner, but just to let you know, I work 12 hr. days, so I will get home sooner or later that day!! Loving every minute of it!!! BIG DREAMER
Well Bloggers!
I have loved reading your comments, and I really hope the SIS party, the $1 “gift” card idea and the great cookout recipes all come to fruition! I have not been able to post much because I’m studying for my USMLE (medical boards), but I love reading your blogs and I just want to assure you ALL that if I win, YOU (and your PETS!!!) are all invited to “our dream home” for a great “Sippin in Sonoma” party.
But if I don’t win, I promise to mail in a GIFT of $5 to the DH2009 Winner, so that he or she can keep their dream alive! (as many of you intelligent bloggers have already mentioned in the past, this is NOT taxable $$$, it’s considered a “gift”!) You are all so positive, kind and loving! It has been so much fun reading your posts whenever I get a break from my studies!
Take care, good luck and remember to go get your hair and nails done, because no matter what, you will ALL be taking a trip to Sonoma for the SIS Party “when one of us wins!” …now, if only everyone else in the world was as nice and charitable as you bloggers…what a great world that would be!
)
Love you! Muah!

Saying it one more time, I have loved every minute of this dream of so many people out there in this world.Thank you HGTV for the hard work that you do to give us all a chance to dream bigger than we might normally do. Keep sending newsletters and keep showing us all, through your programing and designers our dreams do come true with ideas and some hard work any where we may live. For our homes, our yards, the food, and even our pets. Just so much and all that you do, THANK YOU! Fellow bloggers – THANK YOU! for being here . It gave me a real reach out to this world around us all. Good Luck to us all!! BIG DREAMER TOO!!
I’ve been entering in the hopes of being the winner of this amazing home. It’s the only way I would be able to convince my husband to move to California. My daughter moved from the East Coast and is living with her husband and 3 sons (my grandsons that I don’t get to see very often) in San Diego. Being in the same state would make life happy again – being able to see her and my little ones 5, 4, and 2. I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed for that one in a billion chance of having a happy ending. HGTV is the best learning channel around – looove David Bromstad and his crew – great personalities.
WOW…. Inside the drawers and shelves are as beautiful as the interior design is… The colors are vibrant and fun. We are dreaming of moving in.. My eight year old son checks with me daily to make sure that I signed in.. I love reading everyone’s blogs as well. It shows you just how many people are excited about the Beautiful Home.. There was a question from one of the bloggers, I think Melinda, and she asked what would you bring if you won ?? I would bring my few pieces of art and that’s it.. The house is complete to me and so, so, so, beautiful.. so calming.. If we win,, there will definitely be a party… Good luck to everyone.. I have entered every year and will continue to until I win…. !!! or move to Italy…
Renee I think its beautiful yhat you and your son are dreaming of this together. I hope you or 4dewdrops win. You both sound as if you both deserve it!! Good luck to all
Sorry typo on top .
