Good Morning Katherine,
I look forward to reading more from you.
I wanted to respond to a few of your posts, First, I am sorry to hear about your mother, my mom had a stroke a few years ago and I know how how hard it was watching her struggle to regain her health back. I strongly disagree that this should only be a place to talk only about the DH. I have been reading and posting this site since the beginning of January and I have made a lot of friends here. I live in a very rural area and don’t have much contact with people
This site has also become a place for me to reach out and pray for people going thru struggles and hard times. Back in Jan I felt like a lot of people were telling there sad stories in hope that it would increase there chances of winning, but as the site evolved into a community of people with similar interests, I feel it has become a place filled with information, laughter, and friendships. After all, only one person is going to win the house, and how many tax questions does it take to get to the center of a… LOL The world will never know:)
I loved your post written to the IRS, it cracked me up! I also saw you had responded to me that you had posted a similar feeling about this blog, I looked for it but it must be on another date. I know I pray every night for 4dewdrops beautiful baby boy, and I would also love to include your mom in my prayers. Rhonda Priest had been MIA for a while but I am glad to see she is back, I am sure she will be praying for you too, along with Brenda and a whole army of intercessory prayer warriors here at this site. Is your middle name really Dreamer?
Good Luck and God Bless
collegemom – You’re blogging here because you have a dream like the rest of us and though it is humorous to think that people were considering the contribution to defray the taxes for the winner, it is a generous thought and goodwill to the Dreamer. Dreamers are wonderful people and it brings out the goodness to be shared by like-minds. So, to all the beautiful DREAMERS out there, continue to dream and share it!
JanV’s Mom – Thanks so much for your good wishes and prayers for my mother. In turn, I wish you and your family the best!!
College-mom: i hear what your saying, but consider this, the winner may be someone who just lost their job due to the economy or their husband is disabled and they live on very little, just getting by, and winning this home would be a dream come true, until they hear what they have to pay in taxes. What a joy it would be to have a wonderful gift from the bloggers, by their choice, send $1, $2, $5, whatever the amount of money to the winner to help them pay for the taxes so that the winner can live in the home. The bloggers are living vicariously through the winner and I believe are truly happy and want to see their dream come true for them or anyone that wins. I find that to be wonderful, and selfless during these difficult times. We all have a right to an opinion and you gave yours. We all give to different chariites and causes, be happy for the winner. Give or don’t give, its everyone’s choice.
hey everybody, i haven’t commented very much. I agree with college mom, I don’t look at the blogs often, but I noticed that a lot of people post personal information and talk about their whole life. It’s true, you don’t know these people, if you want to have a personal conversation use something else and make it private. It’s funny how people wonder why there’s so many predators and stalkers, be careful. I don’t mean to ruin the fun, but I just look at it like “If I win, I win, if I don’t, I don’t, I don’t think about it too much.
Good luck everybody
Love it! It looks great just like the sonoma house!!!
I would love to be as gifted and tallented as you, the room is awsome!
If the winner is not me,or does not need the help they could allways donate to a well deserved charity of their choice. Anyone of us seem to be deserving, and I have only seen good FAITH and Will towards anyone here, Love blogging with you, Take care all.

Katherine-I am sorry to hear about your mother’s stroke. I am a stroke survivor….a very Lucky Lady who is happy to be alive! I had a severe stroke in 2001 when I was only 50 years old.I was fortunate to have excellent rehabilitation and was even able to return to my teaching position on a part-time basis. A stroke causes extreme fatigue that lasts for years! Go to stroke.org for more information.
I will be sending my CONGRATULATIONS card with a $5donation to the DH09 winner on March 16th! The original idea of the donations was to help the winner to be able to LIVE in the beautiful home!I will also continue to donate to my church and to other worthyorganizations!
Happy Dreamin!
Lucky Ladyaka Illinois Nancy
Hello all of you! I have been reading all of your blogs for awhile now. I must say I love how close all of you are. You guys are truly “bloggin friends” and isn’t that what it’s all about. I was hoping to join in.
COLLEGEMOM-I just wanted to say to you, if these people are offering to give a complete stranger money to stay in a home they wish they had won, do you really think this is the only good deed the have or will do? I am sure these people help ANYONE the can WHENEVER they can. I don’t know anyone on here, but you can just tell from reading their writings, that they are very caring people. I think you should either stop with the very negative comments or find a new blogging home. You really have no right to come into there “blog world” and tell them what’s right and wrong. Obviously, they have been talking for forever. Maybe you should try thinking positively and good things will happen. What comes around, goes around.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!! I really hope one of you wonderful people win!!!
Beautiful! I envy your talent. I had an opportunity to visit the HGTV dream house in Lake Lure North Carolina and was blown away by it’s gorgeous location and beautiful furnishings. The winner of this season’s Dream Home will be truly blessed. Good luck to all who entered!
