Super Fan Gets the Scoop From Jack
What a gal! Our Super Fan squeezes some juicy details about HGTV Dream Home 2010 out of our house planner Jack Thomasson. She also talks about Santa Fe and fun activities to enjoy there. Watch our two new videos for details.

Okay, guys, do I get another A+ on my Super Fan Final Exam? At least, can I get an A for effort? LOL!!!!!!!!
Living the Dream!
The most recent Dream Cam photos haven't added much, from our point of view anyway, but now that we have the floorplans, the Dream Cam is a bonus, but it's no longer the only game in town!
AND, we can generally go back to a single most active thread within each of the blogs. What a timesaver!
Albuquerque Amigos and Sandia Park Suerte!
Can't forget—thank you MARY for posting those floorplans before my trip! That was very thoughtful.
Piñatas Rule!
Lynn Coggin, You deserve that 6 for keeping on top of things and sharing the good news with fellow bloggers!!! If this is an indication of the work you do, you'll make us proud!
WOW LESSIE – A '6' is great…one for each mountain range we'll see at the Dream Home!

Living the Dream!
Okay, we've got our Dream Home floorplans to drool over, now we can look ahead to the next project, revealing our new Super Fan. I don't envy your position right now, Lynn, hanging out in anxious anticipation of HGTV's announcement. How nerve-wracking!
You seem to be handling the pressure well, but I'm sure you're hoping even more fervently than me that MARY will make the call and end the speculation. At this point, it seems like I'll be in Thailand before the good news is printed….
Happy Turquoise Trails!
Has there been any discussion of building a straw bale house? My wife and I lived in one for 15 years and it was great. Insulation was R56 so we didn't even need a furnace. We lived in a place that got below freezing and the only thing that was necessary was a gas fireplace in the living room and a free standing gas stove in the master bedroom. Between the two of them the house was kept very comfortable. BTW the house was approximately 1600 Sq. Ft.
Straw bale might be something to consider for the next house.
Pataman, why did you move from the straw bale home? Is your present home as efficient?

A resort retirement community. That's great Pataman! Glad you and your wife have experienced each. May you both have a rich, full life!
Just started reading all of the most interesting comments. Glad to hear that New Mexico is the state for the DH2010. It is my favorite state. Am hoping that you keep the design simple, open, lots of storage and not too western. Sophisticated, modern western would be absolutely perfect with lots of double pane glass windows to see the mountains. Am really looking forward to seeing the design.

Took another look at the floor plans. This home is beautiful! The laundry room in the recycle room is probably more traditional but I like it where it is. As for the unnumbered room, it will be interesting to see how Amy ties this room into the flow of the home.
Coop and Lynn, thanks for explaining a butler's pantry to me.
New mexico restaurants? I am a server at Annies Soup Kitchen in Albuquerque, about 30-40 mins from the construction site.Great homemade, from scratch soups, bread and desserts, generously portioned sandwiches and hot meals and quiches as well as a very satisfying breakfast menu. Breakfast served Tues- Sat 7-11am; lunch Tues-Sat 11-2pm.Eubank @ Candelaria NE. HWY 14 So to 40 West, fourth exit is Eubank; exit right(north) and go several miles to Candelaria, entrance on left just past Candelaria in Scottsdale Village Shopping Center. YUMMY!!
I lived in New Mexico most of my life, and the area the house is in is really beautiful, if somewhat distant from both Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Whoever wins the house will love living there . . .
Thanks for confirming what bloggers already suspect, LLMiller! We're looking forward to watching the progress of this Dream Home.
