  2. there are no words to describe the beauty of the 2010 DREAM HOME SITE! The last time I was up there we went up to look at the comet and the only way I can describe it is to tell you it is the closest you'll ever get to reaching out and touching heaven. I have dreamed about living there all my life. The first time I ever visited that area I was 13 years old after my first concert….THE GRATEFUL DEAD! can you imagine? 3 days at Santa Fe Downs the only time they ever played NM. We went to Madrid and stayed with friends instead of going home to ALBQ and I fell in LOVE! If I win the dream home it will LITERALLY BE A DREAM COME TRUE! Thank you and HGTV for giving me the opportunity to make my dream come true. My family has been around that area for over 100years. my great-gpa even worked in the mines there as did my maternal grandpa. Whatta trip huh??? KEEP your fingers crossed for me! MM

  4. WOW. I simply love this home. My whole family loves the mountainous scenery. The snow is a definite plus! We lived in Alaska for a few years and miss nice snowy topped mountains and big flakes. Awesome pictures. So inspiring!

  5. Just imagine looking at that pic again and this time not on the internet, but as a pic you send to your friends with the caption: "We got snow today! Bring the kids! Hot cocoa is already brewing!"
Now that would just be unreal!
I mean we are grateful for what we have, and more than that even, the *opportunity * to have, and at the end of the day it isn't about what we have but who we have it with.
I wish absolutely everyone the very best of luck. Somebody will move into this house and take a picture very like the one above, look at it with still lingering disbelief and say to themselves, "Yup. We live here."
What an absolutely profound thing that will be.

  7. My husband and i are entering every day for the dreamhome 2010 in New Mexico, just keeping faith if we are suppose to win we will. We have been traveling for work for the past 4 years it would be nice to have a home to call our own and stay in one place. My husband would add a beautiful water feature to the landscaping.
The pictures are breathtakking. Just beautiful.

  10. Wow as an artist and an art teacher this is like heaven on earth. I can see myself hosting artist retreats, childrens creatitivity classes and creating wonderful works of art. Watching the daily photos is inspirational and allows the mind to create. My husband a writer and Medical office manager agrees "What a wonderful place to dream, create and inspire others." Whoever is blessed to recieve this home cannot help but be inspired by the love and care that went into this home from location to the tiniest detail. The snow with its serenity and pure beauty makes me want to take out a canvas and begin painting or just curl up with a great book , a cup of hot tea and a warm throw glancing upon the natural beauty created by God and enhanced by man. Not one word can describe the awe I feel. May the world be blessed and good luck to everyone. Believe, dreams can come true with unwavering faith.

  20. Since I lost my Southern CA home of 23 years in 2004 and returned from Europe in 2008, I would start the first day with inviting people in 2010 to fill the house with music & laughter sharing all that this HGTV Dream team provided in creating a home as warm & inviting for everyone for all seasons. I would return the warmth as well in all the days ahead watching sunsets & sunrises in New Mexico.
