  1. reneelovesgreen: Yep! The night skies over the DH2010 will be spectacular, and I can only imagine the view from the roof-top with twinkling lights draped from end to end that will seem to melt into the night time elaborately staged show of stars!! It will be Incredibly Delicious to experience especially with good friends, beautiful music & yes, of course, Coop & Show Me making the Bahama Mamas!! DREAMIN' my friends, DREAMINGGGGG BIGGGGGGG!!!!

  2. Katydid: I'm almost certain that your daughter did see Coop & Show Me from another passing ship as his cruse ship was so easy to spot with that big hairy attendant waivy his big paws around! Isn't it amazing how easy it was for that stowaway to secretly board the ship without paying and without being detected? Thank goodness Coop & Show Me had their quoto of Bahama Mamas so they didn't even detect their tutelary angel! By the way, I was standing on my deck yesterday & could have sworn to see the same ship passing by the Point St. George Lighthouse, but it didn't make any sense unless Coop & Show Me changed their minds at the last minute & decided to cruise on up to Alaska?

  3. EdinOregon: I looked up your Oceanside Color and I totally believe you have not missed your mark at all on this one. It looks like a match! And, I like the Sherwin Williams' motto, "Visualize Your Inspiration!!" I'm sure HGTV started with the "Turquoise" Trail, and like the "Yellow Brick Wall", continued the inspiration throughout the DH2010!

The color is refreshing and sophisticated with its mix of blue and green, turquoise has a sweet feminine feel while the darker teal shades add lively masculine sophistication!! The nature of turquoise has the same calming effects as blue and green!! And, I am liking some of the shades of turquoise because they have an old-fashioned 50s and 60s retro feel. Whereas the Teal color has a darker, somewhat more un modo sofisticado de enfocar la planificación!

  4. Thank you Marie. Quite impressive reading your Spanish "proverb" about the DH planning approach! You add such a positive vibe in here.

Reneelovesgreen – I concur that once seeing the DH furnished, the trim color will become more complimentary of the contents and style.

  5. Not to stray too fay from the Blog Topic, but get ready to grin-an-bear-it……
    "Often Pondered, but Never Mentioned"
I wondered why HGTV would place a black stripe right across Gail's eyes in the Vlog picture above. It didn't seem very conscience oriented. Maybe the S-U-P-E-R F-A-N is sporting a new look………Hmmm, We'll have to wait a find out!

  6. Hi Bloggers , Danny here, Did anybody see Paula Deen of the food network get hit in the face with a frozen ham? A perfect example how a little horseplay can set back a good project. It reminds me about some of the clowning that went on at the blog cabin,And we all know what happened there. Danny

  7. Deryck, I tried just like you did. Matching the colors on a computer is harder than real life too. Different screens show colors differently. I guess we will both have to wait & see what the December tour shows.

  8. I think it is a cool lavender/blue color of the sunsets

  12. Interior decor decisions HAD to be made, but does anyone else feel sad that the unlimited possibilities are now limited? Lucky that the house is so beautiful and actually exceeds the imagination!

  13. Whether the trim turns out red,
Whether the trim turns out blue,
Whatever the trim, whether red, whether blue
I know I will love it. How 'bout you??

pizzathemom on November 29, 2009 at 6:24 pm
  14. Well I can see turquize being used but I think they will do a redish orangey color they always talk about the landscape to take it in side

  17. i enter the contest everyday, via internet, who cares what colors they use, the freakin house is beautiful, i dont have much of anything, but OHHHHHHHHHH BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, if i get belessed and win, after they pick me up off the floor, i will have so many tears of gratefulness, and happiness, my hubby and i are both poor and disabled, we can only dream at this time of us being the winners, i have so many plans, i am raising two disadvantaged children ages 3 and 5, this is what could fi everything for us, so i am not going to ask you to keep your fingers crossed for us, i am sure you want to win yourself, instead i am going to truly believe this house is for us…………. God bless you guys and God bless America

  18. This house is amazing, I don't even care how far for the gorceries or school. Any ride will be like a little trip in discovering new places and beauty. It's just breath taking.
And although I live in a small apartment I am so hooked on HGTV that my ideas just pour and my space is in constant change. My family doesn't know what to expect when they come home.
This having too much time on my hand – unemployed – and way less money.
But I love it as it makes me come with more practical ideas, trust me is not that I don't have them!

  19. I checked on line the suroundings. The history, the art/culture and colors all is full of life and hope and balance. I would love to live there. I am already looking into moving out there. To live there is not too expensive, not more than other places, the weather is splendid with all that it offers.
I hope i will have nice neighbours to get along wel with. I cannot wait!
