Norteño Margarita
Recipe provided by Quinn Stephenson
Yield: One Cocktail
Prep Time: 3 minutes
Cook Time: N/A
Ease of Preparation: Easy
Ingredients:
- • 2 ounces Tequila
- • 1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
- • 1 ounce of simple syrup
- • 1/2 ounce of green chile juice (see tips)
- • Margarita salt for rim
- • Lime wedge for garnish
Directions:
Using a lime wedge, coat the outside lip of a margarita glass and salt the rim. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Place remaining ingredients in the shaker and shake vigorously for three seconds. Pour the ingredients into the salted glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
Tips:
To make the simple syrup, use the ratio of one part water to one part granulated sugar.
To prepare the green chile juice, place 1 New Mexico green chile in a blender with 1 ounce of water and blend thoroughly. Separate the puree with a fine mesh strainer and place in a squeeze bottle. If New Mexico green chiles are not available, serrano peppers may be substituted.

Hello all,
Lessie, thanks for your comments a couple of blogs ago regarding poetry related to Iron. You have the gift of encouragement. Hope more folks out there can capture a vision for doing something meaningful this year. Especially with the vast needs that many folks have out there in this world. This home certainly
provides a beautiful distraction at any rate in a striking environment for me at any rate.
This home with no water feature makes sense to me on varying levels. The rest of the home will need regular upkeeping as it is. Homes often create ongoing repairs overtime for those who are fortunate to have homes in the first place. Nice selection of location of home apart from the ongoing debate on interior design. Enjoy the rustic looks when it comes to the pine etc.
Anyway
Absolutely love it… I want to win as you because my situation is very serious since I live in Ciudad Juarez is the border of El Paso Texas for those who do not know, I enjoyed living here but you know the problems with "drug trafficking", the military army caused panic in this city live, many relatives and friends have gone to live elsewhere, my mother was retired from his job and would be an honor for me to live with her in the house of fairy tale, it would be a beautiful place for me as my family can live in peace and quiet breathing that we no longer here.
My family says it is impossible to win….I would like to prove them wronge. best wishes to all who tries to win. this house is beautiful…Love the furnishings, tile work & space….Hope it is not fixed & we can have a chance at this dream home….thanks hgtv for making dreams come true…
my style, contempary & modern yet a southwest style….very awesome….
Stunning views, slick kitchen, and on one level for those of us with fickle joints. Somebody has to win and I hope whoever settles down in this home will appreciate the hard work involved and see it as a blessing.
Overall, I loved the home….the kitchen, the sitting area by the fireplace, the sunrise room and all of the beautify tile. However, the 2 things that stuck out to me were the Casita bathroom privacy issue (which has been discussed) and the glass garage doors. I just don't get that. It looks pretty when there is nothing in the garage and the windows are all sparkling clean, but in reality, it will be impossible to maintain that look. I live in the Phoenix area, and the amount of dirt/dust that gets blown around in the desert makes for dirty windows. I don't know about everyone else, but a view of my lawn mower, garden tools and general storage of 'stuff' will not make for a pretty view in the garage. Also, all of that glass will make the garage either quite warm/hot or cold depending upon the time of year. Guess some of that 500,000 can go towards new garage doors.
I'd love to return to the West, and have the home be a port of call for friends and godchildren. I'll be working for 10-15 years at least, but one reason I changed careers and became a reference librarian was to have that flexibility! I love the ground floor plan for this climate. I would have to install a canvas curtain for the bathroom, or put in some sandblasted glass or something.
Most of us would do something like that to the bathroom. Major goof on the part of the builder. Wonder why they changed the original plan.
Beautiful home! Great prizes. Maybe they will consider not having the next home in an hoa. Most average people cannot afford the insurance and taxes with Hoas. It would be a shame not to be able to live in the dream home because of the taxes insurance and hoas. Does anyone know how much this totals monthly? Just wondering. If i win i would like to live there of corse!!!!
Laurie, the HOA fees were approximately $200 a month last year or $600 quarterly. They do vary some. I looked up the yearly taxes for a Million dollar house in Albuquerque and it was under $2,000 which gives us a rough estimate of not over $4,000 but I don't know what the insurance would be.
THIS HOUSE IS AMAZING!! I love the kids room and how it is decorated. My son is obsessed with cowboys and toy story's Woody right now. He would love this room. I am actually thinking about trying to match the room, for his current room. I have two small boys and they would love it in this house. A girl is allowed to dream right. I have my fingers crossed and will be entering every day. If god wills it, then hopefully my family and I will be moving to New Mexico in the near future!! Come on dream home!! My husband's favorite room is the home theater room. BIG SURPRISE THERE!!
I love this home, the location c-its super fantasic. The big dream of my lifetime would be able to call this place home. All the details, the art, the view —- yes- yes- yes I want to win this home.
I wasn't aware of scarcity of the well water in that area. I wonder… if there is an outdoor water feature – Would that attract snakes and other desert critters??? Yikes!
I suspect you're right—an outdoor water feature would probably make a nice watering spot for thirsty desert creatures. Guess living with nature comes with the territory, just about anywhere.
Yes, it would, and, to me, that would be a good thing. We build a natural bird bath right outside our front windows in Maine. It's a gathering place for critters that we otherwise wouldn't see. Over the years or observing, I've learned their habits, for example, the Hermit Thrush comes to drink and bathe every evening at dusk. She/he makes a call that is entirely different from the etherial, flut-like song you associate with that bird. So that was incidental local knowledge. As for the desert critters, I am a reptile and amphibian lover, so I'd be for that. I know many folks want no part of the natives, but I would certainly have a small recirculating pump feature. The sound is extremely restful. If you used salted water, it would slow the evaporation as well as discourage critters.
Ouch, is my spelling/writing poorer than usual today!! And I had only one of the Rita's last night.
Robert in ATL.
Love the house, I'm originally from Gallup NM and my wife is Navajo. We live in Atlanta now after retiring from the Navy. This would be great to come back home to New Mexico. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Wow. You are lucky to have married into the Dine. Is she traditional enough to know her two clans? I am so in awe of these people. So much to admire
I love this home, as do so many others on this blog! The area reminds me of my family's home in Southern Colorado, as it is also in a high desert area. I know that everyone has the right to his opinion, but I don't understand the mentality of those who just want to bring everybody else down with their negative views about decor design, lack of powder rooms that really aren't lacking, and taxes. Come on, people; it's called a DREAM home for a reason! Don't turn it into a nightmare, please!
Hey Coop: I'm Back!! I left a comment on the Green House site about my amazing Vegas trip, but will reiterate here!! It was a wild four days! Could not believe that a couple in our group announced they would get married while there, so we had two days of wedding planning before they actually married on January 1st!! WOW!! Such fun!! No sleep, not much food, BUT what a wild and crazy fun time!! I finally entered the contest for our beloved Turquoise Trial Palace for the first time this morning! Much to catch up on, but will have to wait until my brain has less fog…smog…jet lag or maybe just too many brain cells have to regenerate, but missed you all!! And, hope you have a fabulous healthy and happy New Year!!!
Welcome home, Marie Miller—HGTV's wild Oregonian Belle! Enough going on in Vegas, and y'all added a wedding into the mix—WOW! We won't ask for ALL the details, but certainly great to hear a fun time was had by all.
You're right, there is SO much to catch up on, but we're a patient bunch (usually), so rest up, gather your strength, and get right back into the fray as soon as you're up to it!
By the way, I can tell you're still recuperating from the Vegas whirlwind—what's this about a Turquoise Trial? Just teasing—that's the kind of thing that happens to me all the time, even without a Vegas-type trip to wear out the old brain cells! Besides, we know perfectly well what you meant to type there…
Happy Turquoise Trails to You!
Marie!!!!! Welcome Home! Your trip sounds just wonderful. A GIANT congratulations to your newly married friends! That must have been so exciting and so fun for you and for them. Really neat!
Looking forward to reading more of your comments!
Living the Dream!
Glad you had a great time Marie. Welcome back!
I just can't believe the new house is in New Mexico. My husband and I have been struggling over where to retire and we finally agreed on New Mexico. He has family there and we have family in California. I have all my fingers crossed that we win. We have entered every year and no luck yet – this is our year! What a beautiful home. Anyone would be thrilled to live there!
I like the house, though it's not my favorite. The different wall tiles throughout are amazing. Agree about the need for a water feature. A pool would be the perfect addition to an already great space.
the drink & the house are a leathal combination…. i can already imaging the margs AND the sunset would happen every evening.
AND BAH humbug to the nay sayer above who tore the house a new _ _ _ _ _ _ _…… OUCH!
I would love some shots of their home…. I mean COME ON!!! people need to get a grip! this is an incredible sweapsteaks!!! and anyone would be very fortunate to win…. especially me : )
I think I would install a swim spa and turn the casita into a pool house–but I would have to change that exposed toilet situation somehow. Sexy exhibitionist showers, sure. But, I don't do my business while on display and I certainly don't want to watch anybody else do it either. I can picture my self turning that office into my own personal paint studio. That desk is plenty large to set up a table top easel and the room has good light, easy outside access, and a sink in the adjacent bathroom for cleaning up my brushes. Perfect. I have no use for a kid's room, but it looked like you could easily remove all the toys and decorations and make it a guest room, possibly moving the beds together. Perfect. The kitchen is great. Organization galore and a way to hide all the clutter from sight. Perfect. My husband has already claimed one of the garage stalls for his ping pong table. Perfect. I'm in love and packing. Just the thought of all that arid sunshine is making my arhtritis feel better!!!!!!!
Great to see your positivity!!! Keep it up!!!
I, too, would make a studio in the home office. Right now it's in a corner of our bedroom with screens around it. I can't do oils here because of the fumes. In Maine, I can work on the porch, but I'm thinking of building a little studio across from the house. My neighbor is a glass artist and turned her old hen house into her studio. Wouldn't it be wonderful to work in and around that home??!!!! And have artist retreats, lessons, etc. Maybe that's tax deductable.
Marie, welcome back!!! You have been missed, thought about and wishes sent your way!! I did see you comment on the Green Home!! A married couple on your trip,,, how exciting!! Can't wait to hear more, when your brain cells have regenerated! LOL! Love life by living green and having a dream!!
Every year I dream of winning the Dream House but I'm glad I never have won any of the other year's houses because this is the very best. The kitchen, bathrooms, landscaping and general architecture are something I have dreamed about but never expected to have for my very own, and in New Mexico! Wonderful. HGTV's Dream House sweepstakes makes all of us happier with the expectation that our hopes and dreams may come true.
I love the House and all the wood floors ,HGTV the garage doors are great ,the veiws are amazing. And to the super fan great job on all the information.
This is truly a beautiful home and a dream come true for a special family. I could not have dreamed a more beauiful home. I would pack my bags in a heartbeat!!!!!
AND, the countdown is on! Need I remind everyone that tomorrow, Monday, 4 Jan, is the online premiere of America's favorite Design Star videos. DAN VICKERY will be taking design from drab to absolutely fab in Kid Sized Design, an eight-part series.
Looking forward to HGTV providing Dan with a wider scope of design opportunities in the very near future, both online and on the big screen.
Thanks for the reminder!! I forgot to put it on my calendar!!
Is there a way to get a notice when someone responds to the comments left on the blog? Thanks!
Yes, but it's confusing to me. For awhile Lessie's responses to me were identified on my new mail for AOL. Now, I get a notification every time there is a new comment, which I like, but prefer the personalized version. Don't remember what I clicked. I do know now that I click the drop down menu by "Subscribe to" right under your name and Email, then click on "all new Comments". I'm sure there must be an easier way. Maybe someone else can help us. How's the weather out in beautiful SPO? Wish I were there. Did find $225 rd. trp. ticket in March from Tampa to ABQ. I just may fly out to check out SPO. Is there a visitor's quarters on site?
DebbieFlorida, I wish there was a visitor's quarters in time for the visit. We are working on that now. That's a great price for the flight.
Dutch, I sent the info on the business journals in new comments, Jan. 1 blog. DebbieFlorida
Dutch, a couple of things you can do: once signed on to the blog (or even directly by going to the Intensedebate webpage)—at the top (beginning) of each comment page on the blog, you'll see "Logged in as Dutch", and directly to the right, the tabs "Dashboard/Edit Profile/Logout." Click on either "Dashboard" OR "Edit profile", then when the page comes up on Intensedebate, click on the "Account" tab. On that page, you'll see where you can check the box(es) for "Email me when: someone replies to a comment I've made" and/or "I have new followers."
Another possible selection, as DebbieFlorida mentioned, at the bottom of the comment page, is the "Subscribe to" tab, where you can toggle and click to choose either "None" or "Replies" and/or "All new comments."
Hopefully that will get you where to want to go.
Happy Turquoise Trails!
I wish everyone Happy New Year!
I like this house a lot, I love it!
I am terribly sorry I cannot watch anymore HGTV- my favorite channel- our cable company was dropped by Scripps network = no HGTV channel available! To switch to other cable or so company is not that simple. I hope things will be solved, and we will be able to see HGTV again.
luba, I'm in total shock! NO HGTV channel available? I would find that unbearable. Isn't there a law that says EVERY home MUST have access to HGTV?
Seriously though, that's a very tough break. I hope it gets resolved, and soon. You'll HAVE to have HGTV by mid-March in order to watch the Dream Home Winner's reveal, unless of course they end up knocking on YOUR very own front door!
Yes, I almost cried when switched to HGHTV – and there was this announcement that they were dropped…..I feel hurt, I am angry, I am furious, I am sad, I am helpless, I feel like they cut my wings a little bit! I LOVE HGTV!!!!!! I LOVE HGTV!!! I can repeat it many times…After my foot surgery I was in bed for several weeks – could not walk – and all I did was watching HGTV! Could not read that much, could not do to much, so I watched HGTV. Watching TV was helping to forget pain – weird, but truth. I think watching and hearing makes you shift mind attention away from pain. Now I am striped of privilege of HGTV.
Yes, it serious break, we also lost food channel. But I do not watch that too much. Switching to other company is not that easy with all my internet connections etc. It is a mess. I hope that it will be resolved soon. I do not know what is the exact problem-issue there. I wish I could have my private connection to what i like and want. not to be attached to any of cable-phone-dish company.
Thank you for your note. I needed to hear some understanding soul…. I get so frustrated when I think about this. HGTV has such a great programs!
Please, HGTV come back to my tv!
Happy New Year, Luba! Hope all is going well for you.
Hello Lessie,
Have a great New Year too!
I hope this year will be better, Many people said that 2009 was strange and too good year. For me it was harder than other years. Recuperating from surgery took 5 months to walk normally, then strange ear problem, than the flu hit me hard, and on top of all hiatal hernia and erosive esophagus!
But what is too much is too much, I got angry on being sick and started to refuse to be sick. But I feel better now. Feel healthier. Using homeopathy for the stomach it helps more than Prilosec or Nexium. Homeopathy does not have those side effects of other medications.
I hope that everyone will have better year.
Now the Dream home: it is fresh, breathing air, cozy, calm, beautiful house!
The nature around seems to be exciting also.
One lucky winner will have it!
This home is beautiful. I would love to own it.
Such a perfect home! I would live here for the rest of my life, enjoying that view!! I want to win sooooo badly!!
What is the address of the Dream Home? I'm trying to see what the level of the tax levy would be for it. Thank you.
87 Turquoise Drive, Phase 2, San Pedro Overlook.
Thank you very much for your quick reply, Debbie.
Dutch and anyone else that may be interested. If you go to New Mexico Business Weekly, Cambell Corp. related content, you will find several pieces that I've read. The latest one concerning new development is dated Nov. 8, 2007. It states that in Edgewood ??? there will be 4,000 homes, including commercial village centers located on 8,000 acres. If my math is correct, that will mean lots less than 2 acres each. Somewhere I saw a platt for a phased development south of SPO, some with much smaller lots, but that could be another developer. Can't remember. Where is Edgewood?
DebbieFlorida, Edgewood is a town more or less "across the Turquoise Trail" from Sandia Park, to the southeast and along Highway 40. The Campbell Ranch Corp has done some development thereabouts (at various points south of SPO), with proposals for other projects that have met delays for several reasons.
I imagine Dutch has far more insight on all of that than I do.
Debbie in Florida,
I would love to develop and sell 4,000 homes! 4,000/8,000 = 2. Just saying
However, as is the case with the entire country we are focused on selling San Pedro Overlook with the Dream Home and our Santa Fe Farms & Ranch development which covers 2,400 and consists of 12-160 acre sites. As for Campbell development we have almost 30,000 acres of contingious land holdings here along the Turquoise Trial.
With respect to utilities: I really like the 4kW solar panel array on the roof, obviously there is natural gas, and the water comes from a series of wells. Did anyone see a satellite dish, or is there cable service?
Hopefully cable service, which will include HGTV!
There is cable service.
There is another showing of the Dream Home tour on HGTV this afternoon at 5PM, Eastern time. I plan to clean the drool off the TV…again…after watching. I especially loved the arial shots, just wish the camera would stay on a view a bit longer, but having to cram so much wonder into less than an hour would be impossible otherwise.
I had so many dreams for this house. It is beautiful from the outside, the scenery (until built up around) is wonderful, and I so wanted to live there. The inside is … well yuck. I thought we'd get southwest flavor in the decorating and style. Its urban does 1950's does colors of southwest? The floors are beautiful, but someone mentioned practicality on that. Where are all the touches that make it southwest? And I absolutely hate glass tile – my personal taste I know. I have always found things to love about each house whether they were my taste or not – and they've always been decorated beautifully for the area they were in. This one just seems to be all over the map on everything, and not hitting the southwest mark on anything (except maybe the colors used). Why did they shop in NY? Of course I'm going to enter. Hey its tradition. But I hope they will build another house in the southwest, and maybe consider making it maybe…….southwestern.
Okay….I am going to try this again…and hopefully I will not go into moderation again…
My son in Chicago sent my husband some spices for Christmas. They are in little stylish stainless containers. My husband loves to cook and these were right up his alley…
1. Cut Cilantro
2. Pasilla Chiles
3. Cumin Seeds
4. Chili Powder
5. Minced Garlic
6. Guajillo Chiles
7. Pepitas
8. Coriander Seeds
What a wonderful year to get these seasonings…should we save them for March and take them to the Dream Home kitchen with us when we win or should we just use them now here in PA? Hmmm…
Living the Dream!
Hi everyone! I received this via e-mail from Ethan Allen and wanted to share it with you…
http://www.ethanallen.com/our_stories_article?art…
Super-chic….Love it!
Living the Dream!
Lynn, thanks for the Ethan Allen/Dream Home tie-in article. Modern, understated, with nice touches of Southwest color and accessories in a contemporary home. How divine!
Thanks for the good read, Lynn. Love the extra info you give us.
tell me why you say after you enter the first time, all you have to do is enter you email address – it DOESN'T WORK AND IT DID NOT WORK LAST YEAR. PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
It really works. Maybe you are doing something wrong, something very simple. After you enter your email address, click on the box to the right.. All should automatically file in. Good luck.
I keep trying to do that too, and it is not working for me( not now or in previous years). Maybe it is my computer or just me! I guess I'll just have to do it the long way for the next 6 weeks or so.
Sondra, it didn't work for me yesterday but it worked for me today. Don't know why.
Sondra, don't clean up the cookies off your computer- that is what helps them to recognize you and your computer. Everytime I've cleaned up cookies I've had to fill out the complete form. There may be other reasons too but this is one I'm sure about.
I am getting ready to watch the Dream Home special again at 5:00pm but wanted to try to post my 'comment in limbo' one more time…I will break it up to see if I can figure out the trigger word…
My son in Chicago sent my husband some spices for Christmas. They were in stylish stainless steel tins ordered from Etsy.
(continued)
(continued…So far so good….this is further than I have gotten in the past twelve hours!)
So, anyway, my husband loves to cook and can't wait to use them. My son sent these in honor of where the Dream Home is located this year (since he does know I LOVE HGTV). The spices are:
(continued)
(continued…uh-oh…let me try to break this up a bit to see which word they don't like…)
1. Cumin Seeds
2. Cut Cilantro
(continued)
(continued…okay…let me keep going…it's working…)
3. Chili Powder
4. Pasilla Chilies
(continued)
(continued….not sure this is very interesting to anyone and/or worth this effort, however…)
5. Minced Garlic
6. Guajillo Chilies
(continued)
(continued…okay, after three more attempts…I think I know the 'trigger word'…although I am not sure why it is a trigger word…)
7. C-or-i-an-der Seeds
(continued)
Coriander Seeds, a trigger word? How strange is that?
think of a competitor to SileStone countertops….
Hahaha…..well, certainly that is why! Got it! Thanks for the tip guest! I will file that kind of thinking away for future posts!
Now it all makes sense!
Living the Dream!
(continued…YAY! It worked that time…is there something about that word that is offensive?!?!)
And…last but not least…
8. Pepitas
Thanks for your patience everyone! So…my question…should my husband use them soon or wait until March when we can have a party to celebrate the Dream Home 2010?!?!?! Wouldn't they be great in a fabulous recipe with the Margarita recipe Mary gave to us?
Living the Dream!
Lynn, you are a darling! All those delicious spices in tins. Sure, have your husband use them now. There should be plenty fresh for the party in March.
Lynn, why wait? If you win, you can get fresh NM spices in March.
Hey Lynn. I keep spices and seeds in the freezer. They keep much longer, which is good as they are sooo expensive. You might even put them in an airtight container. Those stainless containers do leak air. Maybe keep some out and the rest in sealed bags in the freezer. I'm going to try writing Coriander and see if it goes to Pergatory.
PHEW! Gotta go now to watch the Dream Home 2010 show on HGTV again…
Living the Dream!
I think they'd be great now, AND then. No need to skimp on the margaritas, after all….
Okay…MONICA…fess up….where did you get the Turquoise wrap you are wearing…gotta' have one!
Living the Dream!
MONICA and/or GAIL…do tell…is it a Ruana, a Pashmina??? Believe me, I am looking at the home decor but I can't keep my eyes off of the wrap Monica is wearing as well.
Living the Dream!
I couldn't keep my eyes off that fajita/carnita that Monica was tasting in Santa Fe! I bet that was delicious. Yummy!
Ahhhh…yes!!!!! Didn't that look fabulous?!?! Definitely a must have when in Santa Fe! Here is some info for those who may have missed it…
Roque's Carnitas is a chuck wagon that parks on Washington Street around the corner from the Portale of the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe. Roque Garcia and his partner Mona Cavalli pull up to this spot just before lunch time every day but Tuesday between Easter and Halloween, and sometimes to Thanksgiving. Dining is strictly informal. The menu is basically one thing: a sandwich folded inside a large, sturdy flour tortilla that has been heated on a grate over a charcoal fire. Inside the tortilla is char-cooked top-round beef with chilies & onions and plenty of salsa.
(continued)
(continued)
Marinated in soy sauce & garlic, the beef is tossed with sliced yellow onions & sliced green chiles over a fire at the side of Roque's cart until it is lightly charred and the onions & chilies start to soften. About a half-pound of this cooked mix is piled into the tortilla and topped with a salsa made from tomatoes, onions, and chopped jalapeño peppers. The hefty sandwich is tightly wrapped in foil so it can be carried without serious spillage.
Hungry yet?
Living the Dream!
What a disappointment! The outside design is beautiful but the inside I guess the designer has not done homework oISn Santa Fe. This year Santa Fe is 400 years old and the culture is not shown in this house. Who needs BIG BOX companies like Ethan Allen, Crate and Barrel etc. they all look alike. Where is the ambiance for the hgtv dream home? SANTA FE IS UNIQUE! Navajo Rugs, Large Pottery, Large Baskets and Beautiful People. The Designer gets a D!
I agree with Holly, it is our 400th celebration here in Santa Fe and you would think that the designers would have done their homework to know more about the surrounding areas, the culture and our ways here in Santa Fe. We are a very unique area and we are known as the City Different for a reason. What other part of the country can you find so much diversity with people and our surrondings? In the prevoius years, the Dream Home has been just that… a Dream Home and I wanted to win. This year I will not be entering, because the Home is not a Dream Home and the home is in a difficult area to sell if you decide not to live there. You must think of all the outside factors that would make this a great opportunity. I do not see many good factors with this home.
This beautiful home was not built in Santa Fe. I know Santa Fe is extremely unique but if you live in Santa Fe, or work in Santa Fe, you should know this home would not be odd in any way. If you get the chance to come to Santa Fe during the "parade of homes" you would realize this. If I remember correctly, the 2009 winner was a very contemporary house, that had some nicer finishes, but overall not very different from this home. Before you comment on what a "santa fe" home is, tour some home homes in Santa Fe or in the surrounding areas. I'm sure you'll be surprised at the different architecture that is used. A true "Santa Fe" home is located in Santa Fe's historic district and is subject to multiple rule. A home this beautiful would never pass through Santa Fe's strict review board. A home like this would have to be built in "Las Campanas", "Monte Sereno" or in some other outlying area of Santa Fe. Homes built within Santa Fe, especially in the historic area, have to follow strict guidelines that rarely pass any modification to the home that would change its appearance. Research the area before you post and ignorant response.
the house really is beautiful. I LOVE the wall tiles and fireplace in the entry hall. But this house seems to be in the middle of no where. How far is it from grocery shopping and emergency services?
I wish I could say "ornamental prickly pears" the way that Jamie does….LOL!
Living the Dream!
Yes, but be careful with the word "party"—that Australian accent does interesting things with it!
True that…however, with the Dream Home bathroom, you could have a par-tee in the party!
Living the Dream!
OR, in the now infamous Casita with its glass-walled bathroom!
It could be a Santa Fe Party Soiree…I'd love to hear Jamie say that one five times!
Living the Dream!
Beatiful house,but no pool?
No pool, and no spool, but this Dream Home is still a high-end jewel.
