  1. Is that glass on the garage doors or plexiglass? It looks like it could get pretty hot in that garage in the summertime. Is the front of the garage facing West? Also those columns of rocks in the courtyard with the fencing around them, is that regular fencing that will rust away in about 10 years or something more sturdy?

  2. I was wondering if there were any water features included. I love the sound of running water (it's so relaxing) and with the dry climate it seems like a "must." I did notice many indoor/outdoor fireplaces but maybe I'm just overlooking the water.

  10. Wow! I saw the this home on the show and I instantly fell in love with it! The turquoise tile is beautiful. I don't know which one I like more -the kitchen wall or the fireplace wall. I will have to look into those tiles and see if they are affordable.

Everything is so well done. I like the layout, finishes, and the tall doors.

Last year's HGTV home did not impress me nearly as much. Great job everyone! And did I mention that the site is lovely? So nice to look at, – this time of year when I am snowed in. THIS is definately my dream home!!!

  11. I don't have one complaint about the HGTV home…it is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous! KUDOS to the architect, builders, designers and the many, many people it took to create this masterpiece. Even though the chances of winning are slim, we all have the same odds and it's fun just to imagine. I'd be ecstatic for whomever wins this gem. Thanks so much for the excitement of entering every year and giving people something to dream about. I love touring the home and picturing myself, my husband, children and grands in that breathtaking setting and home. Thanks HGTV

  12. I was reviewing all the amenities with this exciting home and was concerned about the new features/appliances. Would someone be able to teach me how to use the oven/warmers, dishwashers etc. should I be the lucky winner of my dream! I so love the Albuquerque area – my husband and I were lucky to visit the are last fall. Thanks for any insights on the process of ownership.

Also, I wondered if any dishes came with the home – are there anything in the cabinets in the butler pantry?

  13. Of all the homes HGTV has built, I believe this one is absolutely the very best. The architecture, location and setting is beautiful. A grand home like this located in New Mexico is the ultimate homeowners dream. What more could one ask for? We would be thrilled to win such a gorgeous home! We would care for and maintain this masterpiece for the rest of our lives. A lifetime of dreams rolled into one home. My, My, you have outdone yourselves on this home.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this project, from the beginning to the end. Everyone involved exhibited the very best in their field. Our hats off to everyone's effort. They certainly deserve it!!!

  14. Thanks for telling us about the videos Gail! Jason did a great job at making the viewer feel as if they were really at the dream home themselves! It was neat to see the architecture from the outside! Oh, there is a quaint little play home too, which I did not notice before! What a great place to raise a family!

  16. You can see photos of the playhouse by going to the Back Patio, clicking on Vew Photo Gallery beneath the virtual tour and go to photos 7 and 8.

No problem about spectating. It's all good.
