All About the Artwork

Good afternoon, bloggers.

Kate in Kansas suggested that we build a photo gallery dedicated to HGTV Dream Home 2010’s beautiful artwork. Thanks for the great idea, Kate. Mary has worked diligently to pull the gallery together. Take a look.

Helen, I was also able to track down the answer to your question regarding zoning and large animals. My contact at the development said, “The zoning is residential … As you may already know, we love horses here in New Mexico and if you need a place to board the horses there are plenty of places to do so as you relax in the HGTV Dream Home.”

I still don’t have the exact details on public tours of HGTV Dream Home 2010. Please keep checking Dream Home Central and this blog for tour updates.

There are so many questions on closets and storage. Take a look at the picture I took of the recycling room. There are lots of storage cubbies and cabinets in this area. I also took a picture of the closet that is to the left of the foyer as you walk towards the office.

Your Super Fan,
Gail

  1. Has anyone else checked out the net for other works by these artists? I am so in awe of the artists you have collected for this home. My personal favorite is Farrell Cockrum. I can't say just how much time I've spent looking at the painting in the home and now through his collection of works through the net.
I would like to see you organize an art viewing tour/fundraiser with all the artists present. We pay for private art lessons for our youngest. I am always aware there are many talented kids out there whose parents cannot afford classes. The local artists reflected in this home I would think would love to help promote art education in the area at the same time exposing their own works to so many.
This whole home is a piece of art. I would make it a place of promoting the artistic endeavors of others if it were mine.

  3. Thank you for taking pictures of the recycling and storage closet. Makes a big difference to have a designated area for recycleales. We recycle and it's not difficult.

  4. Great mix of contemporary Southwest art! It really ties the design and furnishings together! I like the use of small paintings and pieces that give a touch of the Southwest without overpowering the rest of the room.

  5. That's a fact if the house is zoned as residental, no horses. It's ashame, it would be a perfect area for horses. Thank goodness you can have dogs, they are perfect company and would love to roam in this yard. The slides of artwork is perfect, if Linda selected the artwork she has excellent tastes for New Mexico. Artwork plays a big part in a home.

  6. I love the artwork. I am an artist myself doing digital art collages, and I could see my art in this wunderfull dream home. Americans are so special in their way of building and modeling homes I just love it. If I win I will move to new mexico in a sec, and get myself a horse or 2 lol, and I would show of in Denmark, because I am so proud to be here in the states, where dreams do come true ;)

Thanks for a really good blog toooo :D

  7. How can I get my artwork into the next Dream Home? http://www.myspace.com/visionsinsight

    • Have your artwork prominently displayed at a shop that is near the next dream home when Linda goes shopping. She usually buys it locally.
