Oh how I would love this house. My son told me to pray to baby Jesus, so he would let us get the house, (he is 41). Love everything about the house, what a dream house. We love to ride to Santa Fe on our Harleys, it is a great ride from Texas. We love to cook, I would get lost in the dream house kitchen. Gail, you could come and visit anytime.
Why didn't they put cabnets on the chair side? It seems like a lot of wasted space.
BTW, I've got my balloon bouquets scoped out and selected, and will be picking them up for my Dream Home display beginning on March 4th!

Amen, sista! Love the kitchen- got to check out this one of a kind masterpiece in person last week when my husband and I with dogs jumped in the subie and drove down from Colorado for a long weekend in Santa Fe. I can see myself steaming the asparagus in the steamer now while enjoying a beautiful glass of white wine- with you, of course! (If you are ok with sweet dogs at your feet). Thanks for the video. LOVE the driftwood art piece- going to attempt one of our own for the Colorado home! Can't express enough thanks for all the inspiration and fun this contest brings. Cheers!

I just love this Dream Home first because it is all on one floor. The floor plan just flows from one space to another. The kitchen is a dream in itself. The Master Suite is awesome. I just love the floor plan. I can see myself showing my new home off. HGTV DREAM HOME SWEEPTAKES I AM WAITING FOR YOU TO CONTACT ME. I AM READY TO COME GET MY KEYS TO MY NEW HOME AND MY NEW CAR. The car and money are truly the icing on the cake. The home itself is more than enough. BUT I AM READY FOR IT ALL.
Dear Bloggamadillas, I have had such a good time on this site entering the HGTV DREAM HOME. At first it was a fluke, the first contest I ever entered, but slowly but surely, I became attracted to the intelligence, stories, poetry, banter, humor, great concerns of the time, and the fascination we all share in common for this amazing house.The media motherload behind this event, has become more than just a contest- I believe it has allowed us to independently be part of the whole process. I can actually picture you all as neighbors, friends of the same tribe so to speak, and looked forward to my guilty pleasure of going to the blog, sounding off and hearing everyone's chok full comments of delicious news about your lives. Thanks to Gail, and everyone else on the DREAM sqaud. Thanks to each and everyone of my new friends here. I wish you all great happiness and success with your DREAMS. i love having a kitchen space that inspires me to cook and try new recipes, like risotto! this kitchen by far exceeds my expectations in what i would normally look for in my dream space but hey, i'll take it all! it can only make me better, right?! can't wait to see who the lucky one is who will actually be using this ridiculously amazing space on a daily basis. i feel the jealousy coming on already!

Sometimes I’ll respond, “No its for ME.”
I usually get a blank stare, but sometimes they laugh!

I am from Louisiana and I am a terrific cook so that being said you'd be invoted over for some Cajun Cuisine. Gumbo and rice, Jambalaya, red beans and rice and so much more. You are definitely welcome, welcome, welcome!

There are 2 dishwashers — one in the island and one in the butler's pantry. Isn't that awesome?

Hey, my new BFF Gail, have to challenge you to a risotto throw-down. I'm partial to Seafood Risotto, using plenty of saffron and lobster, it's season in Maine now! Or Mushroom Risotto, especially during truffle season – Italia, here I come! I can really make use of this gorgeous island, having won a cooking contest, and having judged cooking competitions as part of my work – I'm a journalist in the yachting industry, so I've cooked and eaten all over the world, and my many friends expect only the best. I, like the rest of you, would be thrilled and honored to win this fabulous beautiful home! My family and I dream about a new start to life in an environment that would be so much better for my Mom. Her doctor suggested a dry, warm environment for her COPD and emphasyma. She moved in with us a couple years ago, and would love such an incredible chance to offer my whole family a healthier living space. Thank you for the chance to dream!

L0VE THIS HOME! Dumb question, how long do u think it would take to do housework in this home? Anyone? I have only grown up in apt’s and nothing close to that size. Just wondering?
I could easily see 30 minutes to an hour per room per week. But, I can imagine that would be extremely enjoyable time well spent!
Hello everyone,i wish everyone good luck on the dream house,I do hope i win,me an my family really could use the blessing,Im 35yrs. old an single parent to four children,i just got home from haveing back surgery for the second time i haven't been able to work so things have been so hard my kids would be so happy to get to live in that dream house,it mean so much i never owned a new car rite now my car needs motor work done on it,that i can't afford. If this happens for me an my family it will be more then just a dream house,it will be a dream come true a blessing from God,i want this 2 happen so badly for us.

To answer Dumb question: I think this would be considered an all weekender duty to clean this house. Or you could hire me. I could stay in the casitas and clean it for you. One condition, as long as I could go to Sante Fe every once in a while.
As far as your one condition…I would hope you could go where ever you want ;o)
Reality, cleaning shouldn't be bad as long as you do "up keep"…like quickly wiping down the bathroom counters after you get ready- if someone let the house get a mess then that might be a real hassle, but hopefully the winner will appreciate the house enough to take care of it.
I LOVE this kitchen….can't wait to cook something delicious in it!!

Everything about this dream home is amazing. My favorite 2 rooms are the fabulous kitchen and then the awesome bathroom. I can see myself cooking a wonderful meal for my family and then relax in the tub. My family is so excited about the possibility of this being our home. The views are absolutely beautiful. This would truely be a DREAM come true!

Been over the floor plans a zillion times and I see new items all the time. Since this lovely recession hit, our children have reluctantly returned to the coop.
