Beautiful Dream Bathrooms
The winner of HGTV Dream Home 2010 won’t be announced until March 15 — oh, the anticipation! While we wait, why not take a trip down memory lane? We’ve gathered photos of the most beautiful HGTV Dream Home master and guest bathrooms. Check them out!

I am praying that someone who has never owned their own home will win! LIKE ME!
Me too. We have waited for 23 years to own a home and every time we try something strange happens and it falls through. This would be great for us as well. Good luck to you.
I can appreicate who ever wins as they submitted their entry no different than anyone else.
No judgements on my part. It's all great to have it offerered at all.
Very well said, PFG! Everyone should be considered equally, and I'm getting weary of the conditions people are putting on their "approved winner".
Exactly!!! It's great to just have the chance for something like this. We all need to remember that everyone has an equal chance to win and a right to their thoughts or opinions. Good luck to everyone who entered.
Thank you Dream Team for all of your hard work in creating this beautiful home and exceitment for us! I cannot wait. Good luck to all!
Mary,
I just love all of the videos throughout the contest and even now! Your personal touch and enthusiasm keeps me thinking, dreaming of the DREAM HOME and about who will win.
Enjoyed the views. Too many choices to choose.
I have read and reread the comments, all so very wonderful and some very touching. I have decided to "Let Go and Let God", my prayers will be answered in either case, win or lose. It is still fun to go to the site and look at the wonderful photo galery and dream of blue skies and white clouds drifting overhead while sitting in that gorgeous patio. Good luck to us all, and may our dreams come true.
Well said, Bonnie — good luck to you!
It's such an amazing space! I have dreams that if I win it, I would invite people to come for artist retreats to capture the magnificent surroundings! My mom's an artist – she could live in the casita!
Thanks for the inspiration!
These are all beautiful!! Hard to decide which one I like best. It would sure be nice to win this house as I was laid off and lost my house to foreclosure. I had to move in with my daughter and her husband. I am still looking for a fulltime job with benefits after applying at many, many place for a year now. Now would be the best time to move as I would not have to quit a job. My daughter just found out she is pregnant; so they really need me to move out so they have room for a baby's room. Sorry for the sob( but true) story!!! One more thought, living in New Mexico would be really, really good for my asthma. I have been wishing that I lived somewhere south where it is hot & dry. I wish Good Luck to everyone to win!!!!!!!!
Hi! I think you will be a wonderfull grandmother. Maybe you don't need to move , there with a baby you will be a big help to your daughter. .
Goog luck in winning.
I'm sorry to hear it Trudy, if it makes you feel any better that your NOT alone in this is that I too am in your situation. The only difference is is that I have small children we're losing ours to, trying to find a place as I write this but theres nothing out there to rent , we've got a few more months left here in our home till the bank says bye bye,and then it's so hard to find a place with kids especially hard to rent after you have owned .
Been there sorry to say.Had to move 2000 miles from family for a job for my husband but I'm still unemployed and owe for the move. Lost my only child in 1996. Lost the jobs and house in 2008.Try to be grateful for family. Give your kids hugs every day.And don't lose hope.
My favorite bathroom of all the HGTV homes, and let me tell you its HARD to pick a favorite when they are all so MAGNIFICENT !! But the DREAM HOME master bath I loved the most was 2009. I can't wait to hear and see who the winner is I tried every single year and nothin, hope this year my family gets the call we have won it !! I really need it and LOVE it I couldn't think of a better area to raise my children at . New Mexico is rich in culture and beauty good food as well , It's the perfect fit for my family ! And I need to get out of Illinois, not that this state isn't any good it's great ! I'm just tired of below zero weather so are the kids we're just not great snow lovers, we're all so tired of shoveling !! This years home is MAGNIFICENT my family and I just love it !!!
When will the winner be notified? On the same day that it's announced (March 15th)?
so many dreams and visions all wrapped in the perfect package in heavenly new mexico. a standing applause to everyone involved in this incredible home!
Continued, From Janice Vegas, The Poem If, by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
continued If by Rudyard Kipling
If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
Continued If, by Rudyard Kipling
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings – nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run –
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And – which is more – you'll be a Man my son!
Janice….. Thanks for sharing!!!! Very motivating!!
I just had a urge to throw that poem into the pot. You are great!
I just had a urge to throw that poem into the pot. You are great!
Thank you to the dream team for their hard work in bringing all of us this awesome home. The houses keep getting better and better every year. Thank you again for this chance every year.
I will say cheers with a frothy lemon and lime drink sweetened with agave.
What's not to love about every feature of this wonderful home!
I know that the "If" poem by Kipling may have seemed odd stuck out in the middle of nowhere, but it was a reply, and when I responded it took me to the current strand. It has value wherever it goes.
This is one of my favorite "guide to life" poems of all time, along with Robert Frost's "A Road Not Taken" and Max Ehrmann's "Desiderata." I agree with you … whenever I get stuck (which is more often than I care to admit), I will read these poems, and they bring me peace. Thank you for sharing these wonderful words to live by.
This is a spin off of "The Road Not Taken" … "The Road Less Traveled" written by by Kit McCallum
How often we must bear the challenges of life;
The endless roller coaster between happiness and sorrow;
The constant ups and downs of daily strife.
And always the question remains …. why?
Life is not an easy road for most;
It twists and turns with many forks in the road,
Although always, and inevitably, we are given a choice …
Do we turn to the right … or the left?
Do we take the high road … or the low road?
Do we take the easy path … or the difficult one?
Decisions are not easy for those struggling for direction …
And sometimes the many choices and signs become overwhelming.
While standing at a crossroads in life,
The urge is to take the most comfortable path;
The road with least resistance …
The shortest or most traveled route.
Dear Both_sides_now. Thank you for recognizing the value of these great poems. Robert Frost's "A Road Not Taken", is also a favorite of mine as well. As you have expressed, these great classics are timeless and provide great comfort. It is amazing that the power of art, poetry, theater, music, dance, and the exquisite joy and creatiion of natural beauty are the jewels, maybe the first jewels we have to live by. The rest is like ice cream on a cake. That HGTV DREAM HOME, would be some major ice cream.
This was worth a good good cry. Now I admit my naivety. Did you write this?, or is this a published piece. I have never seen it before. May I copy it, and send it to myself so that I can read it to teens I sometimes volunteer with?
My children and I are soooo excited at the prospect of winning this home! It would be a dream come true!!
Well, then Good Luck to you all!!
I LOVE the way HGTV has thought about adding candles to the bath I have candles by my bathtub and I love to light them when I am bathing it is relaxing when you do not want a lot of light They have the neatest ideas for the candles I think I would like a little low cornered chandelier tier right above the tub. AWESOME HGTV Love you guys are so good with ideas.
The Road Less Taken, cont'd —
And yet, if we've been down that comfortable road before;
Have gleaned its lessons in life, and learned from our experiences;
Do we yet again follow the known?
Or does our destiny lie in another direction?
The fear of the road less traveled is tangible and all too real;
It manifests itself in many ways,
And tends to cloud the issues that might otherwise be clear.
It is in these times of confusion,
That we must seek peace and solitude;
Time to contemplate on our life,
Our experiences and our choices past;
Time to look back, and reflect on what we have learned
Without fear or confusion.
For only each of us knows our own personal thoughts;
Our unique past and personal history;
The experiences that brought us to the crossroads we now face.
We can always learn a small degree from others experiences,
And yet … no one person can walk in our shoes,
Others know not, the trials and tribulations faced in private …
Part 3 of "The Road Less Traveled", cont'd —
Time to contemplate on our life,
Our experiences and our choices past;
Time to look back, and reflect on what we have learned
Without fear or confusion.
For only each of us knows our own personal thoughts;
Our unique past and personal history;
The experiences that brought us to the crossroads we now face.
We can always learn a small degree from others experiences,
And yet … no one person can walk in our shoes,
Others know not, the trials and tribulations faced in private …
For each is individual … unique … and personal.
And that is why … while standing at a crossroads,
Only "we" can formulate the decision for ourselves;
The true direction that lies within;
The choices we must deliberate on with clarity and wisdom.
For it is only through personal reflection,
That we can now choose our destiny;
… Our next adventure;
… And the future we will embrace.
What a treasure I just discovered some amazing info about Kit Mcallum and her poetry and personal stories on the internet. They are worth reading for all. A book with her poetry would be a first to cuddle up with in the warmth of the DH. Her work is to cherish.
I wasn't able to post the entire poem by Kit McCallum … I'm happy you enjoyed it and found a link. I've already dubbed the sitting room by the entry, the Inspiration Room. I would fill the hallway wall leading to the master (opposite the sitting area) with an interchangeable framed display of poetry from many sources (including the bloggers here), inspirational quotes, photos, altered and assemblage art (Joseph Cornell, Rauschenberg, Dubuffet), etc. I'd like to keep some of favorite poetry books here as a tabletop display. I love the openness and uncluttered look of the house, so I will try to display only a few things at a time. P.S. Dream House and Ice Cream … Love your metaphor!
Dear Both_sides_now. I think that your idea of creating an Inspiration Room is fantastic. i am always looking for cozy corners to call my own where I can pray, meditate write, and be surrounded by the books and art I love. What a beauty idea of extending your poetry, art and quotes from bloggers-wow! into a lifeful format on the walls where it can be seen! Kit's story and early fascination with poetry is fascinating. There is tremendous realism and dream in her poetry, with fascinating hidden stories beneath
When they decide the winner?
The Drawing will be on/or around March 2, 2010 and the Grand Prize Winner will be contacted in person on or about March 14, 2010 (subject to change) in the form of a "ambush style" ……… And the special will air on March 15, 2010!! And they do not decide, they hold an official drawing that is computerized and involves tumblers, etc…. Good Luck and I hope this answer has helped!!
I'm waiting I'm waiting….still waiting……
To win this home will be such a blessings, I had so much fun signing up everyday!
The HGTV Dream Home is the best it's beautiful in a serene setting and a great place for a fresh new start.
Anybody know how they combine mail ins with online entries for the drawings? I don't see that info anywhere. Also are horses allowed in this neighborhood?
Here's the selection process from last year (and horses are not allowed, but they have nearby stables).

While we wait…as I wait, dreams of New Mexico dance in my head, a home of finely detailed beauty, welcoming new footsteps through its front door…to dwell there, in splendored glory– nevermore to wish for a better place to rest my head and watch my dreams come true…
Hi did you know how do they dicide who win? and when do they know?
Berenice, your question was kindly answered by Renee Loves Green four hours before you posted this question again. Would you please read over the blog for your answer before posting?
Wow! The imagination and great taste that it takes to put these awesome baths together. I want to drink up every detail . . . but my favorite bath is that of the Dream Home 2010. The bathtub with the awesome view just can't get any better. This Blogging helps with the wait.
Hopefully, the winner of the HGTV 2010 dream home will be someone who has little to nothing instead of someone who has enough to too much.
Wouldn't it be incredible to win such a dream home! The New Mexico landscape is so beautiful. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the hear some super news!!
Sorry! Hoping TO hear!!!
I would love to get away from all the snow we had this winter in Philadelphia. I can’t wait to see who the winner is. I hope it is someone who really needs a home! My 4 kids would love to get away from the city and have all that space to play.
When I saw the last day of the contest was the day before my birthday, it was like an omen to me. We also just celebrated our 41st anniversary and both our birthdays. It surely would be a lucky year if we won. We have lived in NM twice already, once when my husband was in the service and once after that to be nearer his mother. My hubby has family in El Paso TX, AZ and in CA so this location would be perfect. We are right at retirement age & are needing to find a home away from hurricanes as we have experienced too many lately. When we get a little older, it will be too hard to recover from such catastrophes. There is so much more… I do hope whoever wins will be the right person to enjoy this wonderful home and location. What a beautiful state NM is. When we lived there, we explored it from one corner to another & it is a most unique state like no other.
Dare I dream of winning? I have entered daily to contemplate the beautiful home in the hope of winning and being able to relocate back to my native NM. All my family lives in Albuquerque! I love HGTV and your awesome taste in all your decor.
Everyone in America has certain situations and reasons of thier own to want to win this awesome Dream package but the good thing is that we all have a fair chance and if you entered a bunch then you have a better chance than others. I hope with all my heart that my family wins this house, car and money and if I win I know it will be a gift from GOD and HGTV crew and sponsors but if I don’t I will also praise God for who ever wins. God bless the winner of this unbelievable package. Thanks HGTV for the chance to win something of this magnitude. I watch HGTV 24/7.
These are all wonderful photos but the 2010 Dream Home is by far my family. Hopefully my family can have the chance to enjoy it in person. Good Luck to Everyone!
Lol. I meant "my favorite"
I can't wait to see who will win. My family thinks it will be us. I think we have already won just by entering each day and having fun . Thanks for all this excitement…..
waiting…..and waiting…… still waiting……
Looking forward to winning our Dream house. It would be wonderful to have my parents retire to New Mexico and live in a house with so many wonderful things. Going up in Wayne County Ohio in an old amish house makes you wonder what it would be like to live where its warm year around. The weather would be perfect for both my mom and dad to enjoy. My daughter would love to have her own room at daddy’s. Good luck to all. May you all have a healthy long life.
My heart just sank after reading all of these comments. I thought I was the only one who entered every single day! I also look at the Dream Home everyday. Who knew. I just hope I'm the lucky winner! I can totally visulize myself in this beautiful home. In the mean time, I'm anxiously waiting.
Thank you for keeping us updated with all of these beautiful photos. I can't wait until the winner is revealed! (I'm waiting by my phone for the call.)
I can't wait to be blessed with this great opportunity!!
Through the Lord I know my miracle can happen! To whom ever this opportunity, this miracle happens to I'll be so very happy for you!
Hi Everyone Im new to the blog–just catching up on all the comments
I join in you in the anticipation!!
Im sure this has been asked before, but does anyone know when/how they will notify the winner?
I know the TV special is March 15th, but I wonder how much time before that the winner knows????
Forgive me if this has been discussed before–just wondering when I should be waiting by the phone hee hee
Blessings!!
The usual thing for them to do is to surprise the winner with a film crew and balloons slightly ahead of the scheduled air date and time. I'd give them a day or two to work out plane travel, hotel reservations, etc. as necessary for the filming crew if the winner isn't near them.
I’m just hoping to be a winner. I was not able to enter everyday, but entered as often as possible. This would be a prayer answered for my 2 month old and myself. Living with friends and family is not so bad but to have a place to call our own would just be amazing. I wish you luck and I wish for luck for Chloe and myself. fingers are crossed…
Thank you,HGTV for the participation of P.R. in the contest.Now I have the oportunity to dream too.Sorry my enghish.This is my first participation.God bless the winner.We have 14 days to …dream…dream…dream.
I love this years bathroom. I like how it is so resort like the way it is apart of the master suite. How romantic would it be to be in that bath tub and seeing the sunset or rise. OOOOOHHHHHHH!! So majestic!!
I'mjust cuntng he days, it is so exated.
Everyday I cross my fingers that I win the dreamhome so I can get away from this Boston weather. I love the bathroom design and blue is my color because it looks so clean and refreshing. Get me out of Boston….
Wow…I'm loving these dream home bathrooms. To date, though, my favorite was the St. Mary's, GA dream home bath….I have used so many ideas from that home and I just love it.
It's been amazing how much my husband has enjoyed all of this. HGTV is one of few channels we watch together. He loves it as much as I and together we've enjoyed making over some features of our home. We love Mike Holmes – my husband even went out and bought the carthart overalls…..can't wait for the drawing – Good luck to everyone!
