  1. Folks….no one knows nothing, except HGTV, so don't lose heart. I've read the rules and they give HGTV plenty of "wiggle room", to do just about anything….at any time, until broadcast. So keep the faith….and who knows…..you may be the lucky one…

    Best Wishes to all!

    • Dear Roscoe,

I am with you kid on this one! I tried to post back on your comment to me about finding a good telescope. With your great attitude, I would say that the world is your lens. Enjoy capturing all of those images, and great good luck to a person with a famous name.

      • Thank ya ma'am! Frankly, I'd rather be there, in Vegas, right about now. Cold and wet in the great NW today, with heavy snow in the Mtn's….plus, I'm feeling lucky…..how bout you?

        Best Wishes Janice!

    • Dear Roscoe, It is good to see you on the blog. My dad used to call me a straight shooter. Tomas and I are both enjoying our lives, and share a hilarious story once in awhile about breaking down in the Catalina Mountains in Tucson. We hiked back home, and Mas tells me years later he wanted to propose. P.S. I can not get to your original post

      • No Problem on the post…..and congrats again on the wrap win! I had a feeling you were in Redrock area….;) Tell Tomas great job on the pics!

    • Dear Roscoe,

Can't get to your post for some reason. In answer to your question. Yes I feel lucky today, yesterday, last year and pretty much all the time, and I dont even put any money in slot machines or gamble. I would go to Ruidoso Downs, just to watch people and the horses. The only thing that I have ever taken a chance on is a kiss, from a high school sweetheart, and HGTV.

Janice Vegas on March 12, 2010 at 2:31 am
      • Ah, your reply makes my heart melt … If you don't mind me asking, is he still your sweetheart? If so, what a beautiful love story!

  3. Good morning all, because I'm not on cable, can anyone tell me when I can view the hgtv "ambush " show via computer? Isn't a day or two after? Or will they put a video on this hgtv site? Thanks

  4. Good Morning everyone….I'm sure we are all getting very good at holding our breath….4 days left. I had a vision this morning. Before getting up, while saying my morning prayers, I opened my eyes & on the wall next to me the sun was shining creating a rectangle window, right in the middle of it was the image of my dreamcatcher which is hanging on the otherside of the room. Wow, that was a pretty powerful image. It only lasted a few seconds. The Great Spirit was speaking to me…….

  5. Good morning everyone this is my first year with the blog. I have had alot of fun reading everyones blog. It has been fun. Now i have started on the Green house and the blog cabin in New York. Not sure if that is good or bad. Now getting excited for April 1 when they show more of the green house. I still hope to win New Mexico but i am going to dream of the green home it is very nice just wish it was here on my property in SC. Getting ready to take the family to the zoo this sat. maybe it will get my mine off the dream home. Cannot stop dreaming for it. Love to all and God Bless. Wishing the best to the winner.

  7. Mary, Gail, HGTV, Did you all forget about all of us in blogland? I know your busy tracking down the winner and getting the show ready for the 15th but this is one of the longest running threads for awhile now. How about showing us the video of the drawing. We need some excitement. Anybody else agree?

    • YES I agree completely :)

    • k9nut, I totally agree! HGTV should post something else to us, just let us know that the winner has already been notified. But I think thats what they should do every year, after they draw the winner they should post that they have been notified so we can move on !

  8. OK guys lets be realistic. Only 4 days left til airing Do you really think you still have a chance to win?

Heritage Seeker won can't you see that?

Think about it he would not go to his friends house to watch old Oscar movies last weekend but now he takes off Monday with his best friend that just called him ( HGTV ) to go Harley riding.

I think not just his way of getting off the blog. Why would he leave Monday if he thought he still had a chance. He knew that's why he is not on here now.

Well congrats Heritage Seeker and good luck wither you keep it or sell it your loaded now.

Come on I know you all are smarter than this.

He won so just get back to the real world

    None_Of_Us_Won on March 11, 2010 at 3:41 pm
    • nice try ….but no……

If you entered you have a chance, as much as any of us here….the rules state the winner will be contacted "on or about march 14th", so I go with the rules……it ain't the 14th yet……;).

      • This blog has nothing to do with the Dream Home, other than a place for like-minded folks to dream, and talk about the Dream Home. Being on or off the blog, or being popular here, or not, has nuttin to do with nuttin honey,,,,so faith and hope is STILL alive…..

Best of Luck to All……including those who feel "OUT" of Luck…;)

    • There are a lot of bloggies who take this time off because of negative comments…. Usually, we take the week of and after …………. What about Coop not posting, did he win too…. and I haven't commented in a few days, just came back today… did I win….. Let's keep it all positive and wait for HGTV to announce who the winner is!!!

reneelovesgreen on March 11, 2010 at 5:28 pm
      • I know that I have been glancing at the blog but scaling way back on posting…for exactly the reasons you state…just don't want to deal with the nonsense side of things during this time ;o)

adisneyfamily on March 11, 2010 at 7:45 pm
  9. First of all, I don't understand why certain people have to try to destroy this for others. In this day and age, give people time to dream. We don't get enough of it. I personally will dream until the March 15th because I can.

Second and the real reason I was posting until I saw the party crashing comment – I would love to see a winner's blog. Give them the access to post what they are going through after the reveal and give us a chance to ask questions. Has HGTV ever done that before?

Shannon on March 11, 2010 at 3:49 pm
    • Not trying to crash anyone's dream just being realistic. Why else would he stop posting? It's not brain surgery Figure it out.

I just think HGTV has stung us on long enough and I just think we should all know it's over
      At last it's over.

Just trying to help I mean it has been very stressful Right? So just read between the lines

Heritage Seeker won it is time to wake up from this ever so stressful dream.
And move on to the next one

      None_Of_Us_Won on March 11, 2010 at 4:00 pm
      • Maybe Heritage Seeker finally gave up and decided to go on with his life. Going over to a friends house to watch movies is different than having a friend come from a different state for a vacation to ride Harleys together. Anyway, if he did win he wouldn't have to stop blogging, he just couldn't tell that he had won.

        K9NUT on March 11, 2010 at 4:10 pm
      • If H S won……the last thing he would do is blog on…..or even come on to say bye bye…..

I was gone for a few days, did they notify me?……uh no….

        I may be wrong, but I think the "ambush" hasn't happened yet……my 1 1/2 cents of sense…;)

        Best of Luck!

        • He did come on and say bye bye

          None_Of_Us_Won on March 11, 2010 at 4:51 pm
          • Yes he did…..did it "mean" anything…..uhhhh…no….;) Not trying to argue with ya, but we just "know" nothing yet….so I feel the game is still afoot….I maybe right, I maybe wrong.

You 'may' need to change your nic…;) It could be you!

Best Wishes to You "Possibly" one of us won…..;)

roscoe p coltrane on March 11, 2010 at 10:55 pm
          • He came on and said that he wouldn't be on for a few days because a friend came to visit and go riding.
So,…maybe he thinks that the ambush already happened and it wasn't him or maybe he went because a certain person was going on to EVERY one of his comments and posting negative things- personal attacks so he wanted to give time for the air to clear and that person to stop harrassing him.
And before anyone says it on mine again- no my tone is not negative in this one, I am just again writing quickly and to the point… I can understand H_S not wanting to be on right now when a lot of people are being negative and jumping on everyone's case even when they don't do anything intentionally wrong…it gone my way lately too, which makes me lurk more than post right now.

The smiles are still here because by now it doesn't matter, we will continue to think about the house because it is so much more than what we have now. Just remember if we don't win the house, we have all of these memories that have been created by each and every one of us Thank you one and all. We have more than before because we have new friends. adisneyfamily on March 12, 2010 at 12:17 am
    • I'm pretty sure H_S felt that the winner would have to be picked 5 days in advance in order to sign the non-disclosure and publicity agreements in time… and he is an avid biker so he could well be riding…In any case, I would hope he would win, cause if he did I have a trip planned to "fix" the Casita wall (etching it) for him! ;^)

If the person behind me won I would be soooo bummed!!

    p.s. there were no balloons!

  12. If I am the one to win this dream home, I'll move into it with my daughter and family, we will live in it. I in the Casita and my daughter and her husband who is in the Navy now will make most of the payments. I'll be there for my 2 grandchildren when they need me to watch over them and a shoulder for my daughter to lean on while she waits for her beloved husband to arrive home on visits. The house will definately be filled with love and we will wait with open arms for my son to visit and in laws, to welcome friends, for a vacation place for them. This prize will fill my whole families dreams, Love will be the glue to hold the Dream Home together!

debbbie on March 11, 2010 at 4:28 pm
    • Good Luck Debbie, that Would be a great living situation. I had thought of that for my husband and I and our daughter and her husband and his 11 yr old daughter to do the same thing with me supplying the home while they pay for any of the expenses. But I thought they could sleep in the Casita when we were there part time and then when we did our volunteer ministry they could sleep in the MBR. But , still don't know if they could afford the living expenses and we don't have the $300,000 difference for the income tax on the prize after using the $500,00 cash prize. So we would probably have to sell.

  13. Good morning … I have missed your fellowship these past few days and haven't been able to visit the blog, but thankfully many of you have been keeping the sails of our blog high as we breeze toward the big reveal of this year's winner (natch … my nod to all the adventure-seekers here). In the neighborhood where I live, we have been experiencing sporadic power outages and the weather here as returned to its more normal temperatures (including cloudy days and rain) for this time of year … I've been seeking refuge where it's warm. I haven't been to a movie theatre in freakin-forever(!), so last night, I treated me and my daughter to "Alice in Wonderland" in 3D (yes, you have to wear those crazy glasses)! What a charming and magical feast for the eyes, and I adore the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), Absolem (the hookah-smoking caterpillar), and the Cheshire Cat … I have cast away my disappointment (on not being chosen to win) … I still dare to dream and make my "six impossible things" happen … For now, I am wishing the this year's winner all the best: "Congratulations on your dream come true!"

    Both_sides_now on March 11, 2010 at 4:31 pm
    • What about Johnny's dance…. too cute!!! My son, his friend and I watched the 3D version last Sunday and had a blast!!! They did not talk during the movie once…. that's how I judge a movie… Though, my son loves anything with Johnny Depp, that is why he got into acting and playing the guitar. Glad that you had a great time!!!

reneelovesgreen on March 11, 2010 at 6:02 pm

  14. Incredibly, my balloons are still intact (they're outside) and flying to salute this year's winner … In the meantime, How about a Rainbow for Breakfast ….
Red (well okay, pink): papaya or pink grapefruit
    Orange: mango
    Yellow: banana
    Blue-Purple: blueberries
…. add a little Green (for luck … plus it's good for you!)
Green: spinach and a spoonful of spirulina

Blend it all together, for a healthful way to begin your day!

  16. Okay- reality is sinking in for a lot of people that there can only be one winner. So, if this dream isn't meant for you, then what is your dream? Don't get discouraged. While we all LOVE this house, many people had concerns…anything from snakes to commuting distance. SO- what place is the dream place for you? Here is a quiz that can help you realistically see what your ideal dream place would be…it is different for all of us and sometimes it is different than we think when we really look at the aspects that are important to us:

  18. Can I assume that there will be a theropy blog session beginning on March 16tth? It might feel like the day after your wedding, or the day after giving birth, or like the return home from a fantastic vacation. I think that WE WILL ALL be mentally exhausted. Surley not physically exhausted, I for one have been sitting on my (now much cushier) bottom and have turned into a blogaholic. I am not sure that I am proud of this but WOW…it sure has felt good.
This is my first Dream Home addiction. Hmmmm…that statement kinda looks like I am not going to be ready for rehab anytime soon! LOL! It is what it is! AND I LOVE IT!

    • Actually there is something very therapeutic about blogging and the freedom to express ourselves, and to connect with other unique yet like-minded people! I have enjoyed reading and learning so many interesting things not only from bloggers but also the HGTV website. This is the first blog site I've participated in. The 2010DH caught my eye and my heart!

PatMath on March 11, 2010 at 6:08 pm
      • I too have a cushier bottom! Ha Believe it or not, I am not a normal blogger. In fact I refuse to go on facebook as so many of my family and friends have wanted me to because of the time consuming activity it would be in my life of which I know God wants me to spend my time at other things for Him. But I got on this one after entering for the first time thinking if this is how He wants to answer my prayers of getting out of debt, then I would thankfully accept. But thank you all for your blogging friendship and conversations. It has been a treat for me! Good luck ya'll!

      • Hey PatMath *My feelings as well , Pat, and I have to admit , when I first started finding out what blogging was all about , I didn't think it was for me, I didn't think it was something I could do , everything was so new to me , the computer, the terms used on the blogs , I just didn't think anybody would want to spend time talking to someone like me , that would not know what they were doing, but , everybody here has been wonderful to me, and many of you I feel as close as if I have really met you, and I do thank you for sharing your time with me time .

  19. Okay, today everyone needs to take a step back and relax…. soon, we will know who won the DH2010, even if it is one of us. Until then, take a moment for yourself and realize that everything happens for a reason and if you didn't win this year's DH, then maybe next year is yours. (at least that is how I look at… for the last 10 years, hehehe)

    Try this:

Sit in a quiet place in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and countdown from 10 to 1 while taking very slow deep breathes in and out, holding on both the inhale and exhale as is comfortable.

Once you are “there” then loosely focus on the following contemplation points, along with any others that open your mind beyond your daily struggles, goals, habits, and patterns. If you forget one or even all of the contemplation points, that’s ok. Just keep to the general spirit of the meditation.

Helpful tip: Very…..slooow….contemplation………..is…………….best. Meditation can be done for 15 minutes or as long as feels right.

    Contemplation Points:

Be. (just be. no intentional thoughts. breathing. just be. “i am.”)

Be Slow. (slow heartbeat. slow breathing. slow expectations. slow thoughts. slowwww.)

Be Open. (to yourself. to messages from all around you and from inside you. to new ideas. to love. to self-acceptance)

Be Enough. (for the moment. in who you are. in what you have.)

    Just Be.

Love life by living green and having a dream!!

reneelovesgreen on March 11, 2010 at 5:25 pm
    • Hello RLG! I love your Be-attitudes! Very helpful for those of us who tend to hurry-scurry through life! My family is always asking me to slow down, sit down and (shut-up! • Thanks reneelovesgreen. I am going to try this, I need help bad. We have our own business and we work 14 hour days 7 days a week. I have been so consumed by this dream home that you wouldn't even believe all the mistakes I have made with paper work, bills, chores, every day simple task. My husband looks at me every time I make another mistake and shakes his head and laughs. He knows it's because of the dream home. It has been on my mind that much. I've never tried meditation before but hopefully it will work on my clogged mind.

      K9NUT on March 11, 2010 at 6:13 pm
      • I feel your pain!! My husband is now use to the DH and GH, as I have been involved with them for 10 years!! We own our business as well. I hope that the meditation helps, but also know that when it is meant to be, it will!! Thank you for sharing!!

reneelovesgreen on March 12, 2010 at 1:36 am
    • Hi, Renee. See, here you are again with the wise advice. I was taught to meditate to lower my blood pressure and control pain and anxiety attacks. (Can't take pain meds.) Works, it does, as Yoda would say. Also gives you something to focus on when you get stuck in traffic or in a long line at the grocery store. All those folks in Washington, DC need to read Meditation for Dummies. ____We'll all keep dreaming and living green…hopefully. Watch out for the storms coming your way this afternoon and evening. They are just north of us now (3:33 PM, Thursday).

DebbieFlorida on March 11, 2010 at 8:35 pm
      • DebbieFlorida!!!! Thank you for your kind words once again!!!! I understand you dilemma… I too, can not take pain meds, nor want to, so have learned other methods, vitamins, minerals and natural remedies. Take time for yourself, my friend, because that is the only way that your family will benefit!!! Thanks for the warning on the storm, it has been gray all day and I decided not to take my son to soccer practice tonight ….. It looks like we will be getting most of the storm, tomorrow… Talk to you soon!!

  20. *adisneyfamily* , saw your post about "Toy Story 3" … I saw "Alice in Wonderland" last night and loved it! Anyway, several trailers of upcoming movies were shown, and "Toy Story 3" looks like a super-fun movie to go see (especially for those with young-uns) … The Ken and Barbie scene is hilarious! Other promising Disney*Pixar movies to look forward to this year are: "Up" (premieres May 29) … the comedy adventure is about a 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner), who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 9-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell (Jordan Nagai) … cont'd –

      • Hi diz, I didn't know that … Oh, how very cool! … I say kudos to HGTV's marketing division for all the new tie-ins and cross-marketing they have developed with the HGTV Dream Home this year! Pretty clever! ~ Still dreaming to live out all my dreams ~

        Both_sides_now on March 12, 2010 at 2:19 am
        • It just started airing today…I've seen it a few times…means I had HGTV on probably way to much today…actually, as un-Green as it is, I like to have the t.v. on as background noise during the day even when I'm not watching or not fully watching it. What can I say- it's the only other "adult" around during the day…I guess it started on days when my husband was fully gone in the evenings too and now it is just habit.

  21. … Another beautiful animated feature film due to hit the theatres on September 24 is "Legend of the Guardians".
It is based on a series of children's books by Kathryn Lasky. The film is set in the Forest of Tyto, where Barn Owls live in peace until their kingdom is threatened by an evil that could destroy their home. From what I saw in the trailer, the soundtrack for the film is very uplifting! … I am also looking forward to the remake of the "Karate Kid" from Columbia Pictures and it looks pretty intense. The Karate Kid” movie stars Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith, and Taraji P. Henson, and it it looks pretty intense. Although, the karate kid is smaller and younger than the original, that doesn’t mean this is a softer movie. These people get rough in the film. The film showcases the disciplined beauty of Kung Fu, and both Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) and Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) display some truly remarkable moves. The movie premieres June 11 … GOT POPCORN?

It doesn't matter if that "push" involves entering a Dream Home sweepstakes or by taking in a little positive dose of energy and boost from another to let them (all of us) realize that "WE" are all capable of achieving our dreams….IF WE REALLY REALY want them. Many are just lost and have come from really, really, bad back grounds and family lives. Anyway, my point is, that this blog gives me adToday, and every Thursaday, I volunteer my time at the County Correctional Facility here in Northern Californiaded inspiration to infect the inmates with positive attitudes. To help them realize that they have a chance to create a new and better live for themselves.

I tell them that it takes 21 days to form a habit and 21 days of total faith in yourself to reverse a bad one. I love it Sooooo much!

I belive the winner is Jennifer Wright Lazo from South Carolina. I found this information on wikianswers, and if you want to see what I saw then google "Jennifer Lazo winner of hgtv 2010 dream home" and the link should come up. I still think that this info could be wrong but i figured I would put it out there and let everyone make up there own mind. We will know for sure on Monday

So I wouldn't give up until the airing of the show. And if you don't win this year you'll always have next year! Good Luck! =)

  38. Tuesday while I was at work my husband called me. We just knew it was the HGTV ambush when he told me about how when he was out filling up the bird seed dispenser a nice car pulled up in front of our place and was parked there for quite a few minutes. He took a closer look and saw a woman going thru several legal sized papers. She looked up, smiled and waved at him, then drove off. My heart skipped a few beats–we just knew this meant an ambush and were so thrilled! Well, later, we saw her again–she's working our neighborhood with the census bureau. Oh well anyway, I just had to share that "close call" we had with my bloggee buddies. LOL! :)

But, it it *has* to be me, I guess it can! :D

    • My guess is the result of this "untried and untrue method": I found a map of the United States and displayed it on my computer monitor. I then closed my eyes and moved the mouse around in little circles and at the count of five, I stopped moving my hand, and opened my eyes. On my first try, I landed in the Bahamas … since it's not part of the US territories, I tried again. The second time I tried, the mouse's arrow landed on the peninsula of Washington state … So there you have it, my guess is Washington! P.S. I do live in Washington, but not on the peninsula!

      • Now we're getting somewhere….a gen-u-wine scientific test of location of the winner. I find your findings of supreme intelligence and perfect reasoning, befitting a thesis with the mostis. I think we could get a grant on this…….

Disclaimer: The fact I live in WA has absolutly no bearing of my findings, of Both_sides_now findings, as the findings speak for themselves, so to speak……;)

  41. This is my first blog EVER!! I am holding out HOPE!!! Three Years ago our house flooded while was on the market to sell, my grandma passed, my husband lost his job of ten yrs and we just found we where expecting our second child. We lost our home, a car, and had to get rid of much of our things due to flood and Job loss. We have been homeless for 2 years (living with family in one bedroom with two children 2 and 4) my husband is finishing school while working but things being though for so many he doesn't get paid and I don't get paid well enough to move. That second child just turned 2; we could use a break!!! I really hope the person who wins really deserves it and know how blessed they are! :)

    • I'm honestly sorry to hear about your situation. I don't know if this small bit of information will help you in any way, and if not hopefully it will help someone out there (because there have been a few blogs about people having a really hard time). If you or your husband are creative in any way, shape or form, go to the website http://www.etsy.com. It's a "market place" for all things handmade. The downside of going to the site is you'll find a million things you'll want to buy. Best wishes to you and your family.

  43. I was with my daughter today, she took me shopping. We talked and talked about the Dream Home! A new dream we now share together. Its been so exciting. I'll be watching my grand son Saturday night. We'll spend some time looking at the bedrooms and play house in the Dream Home, we dream together all of us and talk about the good times we would have living together. He does understand that this is a contest and that we may not win, we said a little prayer together last week, his idea, and no that is in gods hands not ours. My grand daughter whose 14 is also in on our dream! 4 more days till the reveal! We really could use this home for many good, important, reasons. It could really be the answer to my entire families prayers, God Bless us all! Its out of our hands!

  44. Good afternoon! I don't think that anyone has given up that is a regular on here or to HGTV. We are all very postive and hopeful. It has been several weeks now and you just can't keep up the pace at all times. I personally would like to see some of the regular bloggers back on here. I miss you guys. We have to keep in mind that although it is each of our hopes to win…..only one can be so blessed. IT IS EXCITING NO MATTER WHO WINS!! How could anyone be so selfish to only be happy if they won?? Millions enter, one wins. Yahoo for the winner!!!!!!!!! As for me…..I am still dreaming!

  45. Why hasn't anyone asked the obvious question, will the peson picked, know before the 15th of March? & How will they find out?

Ed Horner on March 11, 2010 at 10:33 pm
    • Yes, well maybe. Not being funny, the rules give HGTV pretty much options for anything, at anytime, up to, and including broadcast. So we all still have a chance. The finding out can include an 'ambush", or even a phone call, or overnight courier. Shoot….they could use carrier pigeons. The point is…if you won, they will find you…;)

      Best of Luck!

roscoe p coltrane on March 11, 2010 at 6:41 pm
    • This is really not meant in any negative sort of way, but in answer to your question "why hasn't anyone asked"…actually it has probably been asked 50-100 times…it is just embedded in the pages of the blog and nope HGTV isn't going to tell anyone the answer to that question…plus it is done slightly different every year.

  46. Hi Everyone,
This is my first post. I've been following the blog for about 3 weeks. I must relate my story, for I cannot contain it any longer. I got a knock on my door on 03/04/10. It was someone from Nielson. They said I had been specially selected to partake in the process. I thought to myself–HuH…..Could it be?…I said come on in and let's see…..I answered all the questions. Some were rather odd. I was saying to myself……This could be the set up…….So I played along……………They said we want to return and install the equipment on 03/11/10……….Talk about not sleeping…………Well…………………….Guess what……………

Today……………………………………….I've got Nielson equipment……….The technician is still here right now…….
……….What questions should I ask him………………………I've got to break him……………He's gotta spill the beans sooner or later…………………………Help me with keeping hope……………LOL.

RJF on March 11, 2010 at 10:33 pm
    • well….HGTV would carry around a shovel or two, but I doubt they have spare cable equip…..;)
Yaknow….they monitor when you fall asleep on the couch…..lol….have fun and enjoy!

      Best of Luck!

roscoe p coltrane on March 11, 2010 at 10:44 pm
    • Thanks for sharing your out-of-the-ordinary experience. Hmm … are you keeping your TV tuned into HGTV?

      Both_sides_now on March 12, 2010 at 3:13 am
      • I don't know about a secret two-way monitoring device. But the timing of the whole situation got my ears standing straight up. LOL I was on cloud nine for the entire week. I was afraid to post about it. But, after he showed up alone and started installing the equipment, I new I'd been had. LOL Here's the real kicker, He's got to come back tomorrow. So now I get to go threw this all over again. LOL……..

Believe you me, I got real religious this week.

Anyway, this is way too close for comfort. I hope the winner the very best. I think this is close as I'll ever get. What a ride…………………woooot wooooot

    • Wow I've seen on Oprah where she is talking to a winner of some sort over a T.V.?? Do you suppose?? She was on their T.V.?? Just ask him what he's doing …..

debbbie on March 12, 2010 at 6:25 am
  47. I honestly believe that the winner already knows! I'm sure they inform the winner before hand, last year was pretty embarrassing to watch the winner who seem more angry than happy! Couldn't imagine HGTV walking up to my house with a chain link fence, an angry dog, my friends and I all drinking beer in the front yard and some host yelling "SURPRISE". It's all about getting as many people to watch the show and by telling us it will be a "surprise" on the 14th is a way to increase viewers. Either way, I'll be watching with my beer, dog and friends in the front yard! So let me say Congratulations to the winner!

MaleNurse on March 11, 2010 at 11:07 pm
    • Well…..a front yard ambush 'may" be just the ticket…..so keep a couple extra cold ones around…….ya never know….

  49. Hey everyone! Hope everybody is doing fine now. I haven't blogged on here for a while, been really busy. I don't know about anyone else, but I think that they may just surprise the very lucky winner on the 15th. Live this time. I feel there is always hope until you have been told otherwise. So, hang in there blogger buddies. If not a winner this time there's always the green home and other houses later. Remember they just keep getting better and better every year. Take care everyone. Keep dreaming big and Good luck to all.

      • This gives us hope…
I decided I love this home… I would love to win but if i don't I would love it if someone with a good heart won. Maybe someone that does something good in that community, for family, for their friends, research and or a charity… Just something that says… "I was blessed so I want to bless someone else…"

      • yes, i believe there is still time to be HOPEFUL :) :):) AS the DREAM TEAM, I'm sure keps track of the blog or someone keeps them informed of what every one is "expecting"them to do, and I bet they do the exact opposite….I believe their very tallented nature compells them to be a little devious….They can't help it…..its what they were born to do….and I can't help but think that they kinda enjoy it…..I know i would……Well today is Friday,We all still have 3 days till…..Sorry you all but I'm not giving up hope of an ambush until at least Monday….When I see them reveal someone other then me!!!!!Sorry everyone……but thats the plan, and I hope you do the same…..STILL<<<GOOD LUCK TO US ALL:):):):):):):):):):):):

  50. Is it just me or is the Green Home looking to be a bit of a disappointment compared to last year? Curious what everyone else is thinking :)

    Melly1979 on March 12, 2010 at 12:37 am

Jackie on March 12, 2010 at 1:49 am
    • Melly: The Green Home is a major disappointment to me. What were they thinking building a two bedroom home. Every home needs three bedrooms. You got two kids, a boy and a girl. Duh! And the red, white and blue decor is nice. Oh shucks, should wait and post on the GH blog.
I just love everything about the Dream Home. It is perfect, and I am dreaming again. Good luck to all bloggers, and thanks HGTV.
