The 2011 Location?
Good day, bloggers.
Well, I must say that this was a great HGTV Dream Home season. I want to sincerely thank you for your energy and talents. It is such a pleasure to read our blog. You are some of the most positive, interesting (not to mention talented) bloggers around.
Here are my top 5 favorite blog discussions from this season:

I am doing my best to get some intel out of Jack on the HGTV Dream Home 2011 location.(Knowing Jack, he will say that the next home will be north, east or west of this year’s home. But you can’t blame a girl for trying.) Where do you think the 2011 location will be? Care to share your guesses?
If you are wondering how to fill your time until the next HGTV Dream Home is revealed, please join me on the HGTV Green Home blog. My first “sneak peek” videos have already launched. I hope to see you there. Let the greaming begin!

Hopefully the Great Lakes…Lake Michigan sounds like a wonderful location for a dream home! Sandy beaches, warm summer weather, beautiful wildlife, and great people!!!
2011 HDTV dream should in Austin Texas, by the lake, or SD,SF, Naples FL, Marco Island .All three houses by the beach.
I know for sure without a doubt where the DH 2011 will be. Should I tell?
Are you ready for it? Wait for it. Here it comes……..
I am so looking forward to my dream home. I think it's probably gonna be in Texas, but what do I know.
I vote Inland northwest. Then I can pop in and ask questions. Like how to keep the mountain side from falling in on my home.
HGTV, you need a new show. Rescue my home. LOL Not makeovers, just major problem solving. I would still love to see HGTV come to the northwest.. (not Washington though) LOL
somewhere idyllic with a sea view
firethorn * I think you have a great idea of "Rescue my House " what a great way to help us learn to fix a needed problem and have a Great Show For HGTV, too.
I hope the construction crew that made these gems, aren't involved in the building of DH 2011,

At least you can be sure your money's safe at the Melli Bank….
I'll bet they keep the doors locked 24/7 too.
I guess the employee(s) sleeps in the vault. Imagine, you could work in your PJ's! No one in, no one out….
APRIL FOOLSVILLE USA!
No fair—you've told us the town, but not the state, and I've searched for hours and hours trying to find where April Foolsville is! Close to Why, Arizona? Next to Whynot, Mississippi? Maybe Truth or Consequences, NM? Jot 'Em Down, TX?
Signed,
The State of Confusion
What are you complaining about? I gave you the City and the Country, it shouldn't be hard to fill in the middle.
April Foolsville USA was everywhere today.
Signed,
The Courts Quester
Wow, your clues are even tougher than MARY's! I looked everywhere, up and down, side to side, and little did I know the answer was right in the middle of it all—April Fools, Everywhere, USA. Sure had me stumped.
yeah right. Lol.
That's too funny. He!! He!! Keep dreaming big.
I love Virginia as the next location. I have been to Virginia many times and it is beautiful there. I find the people to be very friendly and courteous, and there are beautiful lakes, ocean, valleys, and mountain areas where the new dream home could be built. I believe Virginia has alot to offer and should be the next location.
I live in Va in the Richmond area(Western Henrico Co). You are so right. It is beautiful here and especially here in the area that I live in. My neighborhood has everything anyone could possibly want. I bought an off the showroom floor 2007 car in Jan '07 and it just turned 20,000 miles in Dec of '09 because everthing I need is from 0-3 miles from my home. I love my neighborhood because my gym, cinema, grocery stores, shopping malls, car service, specialty shops, Dr's office, hospital, fire dept., etc are right here plus much more. I have already said that this would be a great place to build a Dream Home, or maybe about 30 miles out in the Goochland area where there is plenty of land to have multiple acres. However I do like the warm areas I mention before like Hawaii and places in Ca.
I have comments about the Green Home, but don't care to post them over there since the blog is in the funky speech bubble set up right now…now that is an April Fool's…give us a great home to talk about and take away our normal blog set-up!
They took away my green thumbability.
Oh my gosh. Thanks, Cami. That reminded me, I've got to wash off the reminder I wrote in red on my forehead to check out the Green Home virtual tour on April 1st.
And to think I went out to lunch with a few friends today, and nobody said a word.
You are just the comic relief I needed tonight. Thanks
Hello
I can see this beautiful home some place in the wood in the great State of Maine where live is the way it should be. I's beautiful here all four seasons, and the people are frendly and would love to win a new home, we are hard works. I will vote every day like I allways do…..
For all we know Jack could pick a state none of us named in this blog! Like Nebraska or Kansas!
Yeah, for all we know. What do we know again???
JT you seem to have forgotten that Nebraska was mentioned, by none other than you. Here is an exact quote
JTDHomeS · 1 day ago
"I don't know but I have a strong feeling the location of the DH 2011 will be in a state begnning with the letter K, T, N, or C (or at least hope). Hmmm….. but yet again I don't know. That would be amazing if it was in Kentucky, beautiful seasons and a lot of horses! Nebraska would be interesting. Ooh… California! Sun! Tennessee it wasn't much when I visited."
By the way why the capital S at the end? Makes me think the plural part of your name is important. Ya know plural-more than one, or multiple. Just wondering, I am very curious and don't let the smallest of details pass me by.
'None of us' being a relative term. None of the OTHER bloggers have mentioned it and nonetheless I haven't mentioned any particular place in Nebraska. Well then, you win, let it go, I was just assuming no one would of talked about these two beautiful, yet disregarded states.
BTW (by the way), the S stands for that I live in the South.
Dream Home in the South, is that where you want it?
Since my post has disappeared for a moment, I will take this opportunity to ask JT where he thinks the 2011 Dream Home is? So where is it JT, please share your insight? Or the exact site?
I agree with Ernie (which is me), I am leaning toward Anchorage, KY or of popular topic, Gallatin Heights in Bozeman, Montana (Lot 35 please). learn more about Anchorage by reading my post on Page 1.
Well, technically, Nebraska and Kansas WERE mentioned (p.2 of this blog thread)—although admittedly in a poetic format by referring to their respective state capital. Reprinted below, in part, with permission from me….
Verse 4
Great cities they are, and leaders they were
LINCOLN and Madison, at sixteen and four
Cornhusk'r or Dairy, we don't know for sure
Just one little hint would open the door
Verse 5
Now last but not least, with this news we're blessed
TOPEKA's the place you're Auntie Em's guest
Broad fields of wheat, Wicked Witch of the West
Dorothy's home too, ruby slippers her quest
I mentioned Kansas in reference to the State song- "Home on the Range"
Yes, I think Nebraska and Kansas have been named, blamed, and are assuredly still in the game.
By the powers invested in me by the Wonderful Wizard of Blogs, I hereby proclaim Kansas and Nebraska potential Dream Home locations.
And so….It is written. Thank you Mr. Wonderful Wizard of Blogs, but
I would rather just click my heels 3 times and be done with it! Or there already, or Somewhere???
I get your point, Kansas and Nebraska were already mentioned. I just didn't read the blog thoroughly enough. Let it go!!!!
Here I am letting it go.. It was taken by a tornado, really, but I did let it go.
Well…if we are looking at Nebrasska, then Papillion, Nebraska was on the top places to live list for 2009. It's not too far from Omaha.
I think that Jack will not disappoint. He seems to come up with some great places. The 2010 DH was my first and I have looked back at all the others but although those other homes looked great I think the 2010 was the greatest by far. God I really wanted to win that home but oh well………………………………………….I must move on. BRAIN PLEASE ERASE THE 2010 DH FROM MY MEMORY.
Next DM2011 I wish to be in modern architecture and style.
I hope it's in an income tax free state! Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming…i want to retire there and let my cash last longer
Since I like water and the poll shows a lot of people do, I guess that makes it Texas, Florida, Alaska or Washington…Texas and Florida have hurricanes, but Alaska and Washington are cold…hmmm…
How about a green house that can withstand high winds on the gulf side of Florida — Port Charlotte! Or maybe something closer to an airport…oooo….the Florida Keys!
What do I win???
And is there some way to be notified when the next contest starts? I wasn't notified this year for some reason…poo…I like AZ/NM area.
Washington isn't always cold…actually in the winters are mild- usually only about 3 inches of snow a year and summers have plenty of days in the 80-90's with no noticeable humidity…that's why a lot of people retire there.
Did you spend some time in Washington, Like Spokane area or up by Seattle? Those are the only armed force bases I know about.
Actually I'm from Western Washington.
You sure AZ doesn't have state income tax???
There is a small, quaint town in North Carolina named Bath. It was one of Blackbeard's home areas and is one of the prettiest small towns I have ever seen. I would love to live there and believe anyone who wants to "step back in time" would love.
Hawaii would be wonderful!
Yep, most agree.
It would be GREAT to have an Atlanta base Dream Home. I'll even go with a New York Home.
Since OkieJRB mentioned income tax free states, one of the Midwest states with a low overall tax structure, which includes property taxes, income, and sales taxes, is South Dakota. Maybe we could have a Dream Home in the Rapid City/Black Hills area?
As an aside to Marie Miller: note that just west of Rapid City, SD on the Wyoming side of the border is the town of Four Corners. Could that be the Four Corners Dream Home site that you mentioned earlier?
There is also a Four Corners Montana.
I read somewhere that Tennessee was on the list for overall tax good states.
I think it is close to Alamargardo up in the mountains.
When it comes to Dream Home locations, here's a list of places that most likely WON'T be getting a thumbs up from Jack T for a HGTV Dream Home anytime soon:
Boring, Oregon; Dull, Ohio; and Ordinary, Virginia. Or Cyclone, Texas; Hurricane, Utah; Storms, Ohio; Wind Blow, N Carolina, and Burns Down, S Carolina. Then there's the appealing names of Mosquitoville, Vermont; Fleatown, Ohio; Roaches, Illinois; Ticktown, Virginia and Spider, Kentucky.
While I'm at it, I'll swap ya Nickel, Texas for Dollar, Tennessee!
I can attest to the Boring Oregon, and it's pretty boring. Loved the post.
Not, however, to be confused with the lovely coastal community of Brookings, Oregon—home to one of our favorite fellow HGTV dreamers.
Not to forget by any means another longtime blogger and Oregonian, whose signon name speaks for itself, EdinOregon.
Happy Oregon Trails to You!
Brookings has always been my dream location. I just wanna be close to the Redwoods.
I think yu forgot to put Drain OR on that list Coop.
Thanks, EdinOregon. That's definitely a good one. However, I actually had a list of dozens more odd names that would have taken up an entire blog page. In order to avoid following in the footsteps of Boring, OR, I picked out just a few to list online. Then there were those town names that would have had me bleeped, sent to moderation, or scored a healthy dose of thumbs down from fellow bloggers….
That's a good one too, Ed. Is that on the wet side of the state or on the dry side, I am thinking on the wet side.
Wet. Western Oregon South South West of Eugene. Actually it's a pretty little town in the woods. It has a river running through it, with an old covdered bridge over the river. The name always makes me think of a toilet or something though. I think it was named after the town founders whose name ended in Drain.
I'll take Dollar Tennessee over a nickel any day.
Thanks for the memories! Roaches and spiders, oh my! I'm having the bug man come out today and spray spray spray to keep all of those nasty pests away—especially the scorpions. (It seems in their infinite wisdom that folks have failed to name a single town after that ugly arthropod, other than the German heavy metal rock band from the 80's era.)
And by the way, I'll take $20.00 Montana for one dollar.
I'd like to see it in the valley area east of Sparks, Nevada. The seasons are great and it would be close enough for shopping, etc but out in the country [Small town atmosphere]. I'd like to see an Ranch Style Solar and Earth friendly Adope style that is build Handicap in mind. With raised toilets, handrails and raised front load Washers and Dryers for easy access without standing on your head. With wide doors and halls and with a large well equipted Kitchen with center Butcher Block Island and pantry. Also a Sunroom exercise room with an endless pool for exercises and Therapy. The sunroom would keep out the elements and allow for year round use.
NO offense to you personally (unless you own a casino), but NEVER SPARKS NV PLEASE!!!!
I had never been to Reno and stayed in Sparks and of 30 something (maybe 38?) states I have never been treated so rudely before in my life by the front desk staff of where I stayed!!!!
Why is the comment I just made in moderation? It didn't include the word s h o e s or any actual swear words!
JTDHomeS, Sorry to quote you again, however, you have a distinct literary voice.
You are (cue mystery music) "Mr. DH Clue Man". I don't remember what year it was, or if you are still the clue man, but I know your writing voice. If this frustrates you, I'm sorry, you have my sympathy.. This DH clue business is pretty intense, serious stuff……….Everyone is suspect…. No one is above suspicion. Not even me! Especially not DBCoop (mystery music) especially with a name like that- DB, you're not fooling anyone by leaving off the 'er' we know WHO YOU REALLY ARE…
it could be your mystery clue person or it could be someone who is just good at playing on names
Or could it really be JackT? Who knows. Dun, Dun, Dah!!! (mystery music).
Yes you are right, it certainly could.
Thanks for the music #1HGTVLVR, I couldn't think of the actual words, but that is perfect. Dun, Dun, Dun Duhhhhhh!!!! love it.
You're welcome!!!
D B Coop*#? Don't breathe a word of it to HGTV. (background checks for DH winners and those kind of things could be my ruination.)
And besides (mystery music, please, maestro) we know the true clue suspect, who goes under the name of "Cami-flage" No doubt in my mind, along with no clue, either!
It was just supposed to be a joke! You people take this too seriously like your trying to solve a crime! I am sorry my vocabulary isn't like the otherwise casual dialect in prompt blog text, that is just how I talk and write. And what if it wasn't a joke what if it was a person's username you can't just ambush them and assume they know the answer when they are as clueless as you are. This hype has gotten to far out of hand just relax and Jack (and not me) will tell you the location and everything will be fine. I advise a little less time on the blog and more time doing productive actions like yoga or crafting. BTW, since I do not want to cause anymore suspicion with future amateur bloggers I have changed my username to what it was originally, Ernie, your blogger with the prim grammar and helpful advice.
Nothin wrong with your grammar Ernie, nothin wrong with puncuation or anything like that. It is the 4 possibilities, making casual statements about the 1st 3 and dropping the last one. I have seen it before with Mr. Clue Man. I would cue the music, but something tells me you're not into scary music. You have immitated Mr. Clue man very well, you should be proud, he is a great artist.
I am sorry you missed the intent of my blog Ernie, and I don't make assumptions about everyone, just people I am sure about. You must of waken up on the wrong side of the bed, 'cause I know you're a fun lovin guy who enjoy's a good joke. Do you enjoy yoga and crafting? I don't.
Someone seems to have given you a thumbs down, just to show you there are no negative feelings on my part I will give you a thumbs up, then you will be at 0.
That's all right, DBCoop?? we have been keeping your secret for a few years now, in hopes that we will be included in your will. You did invest in gold didn't you? We don't want to be caught with well…. we don't want to be caught red handed, with bills in a certain series of numbers.
"Cami-flage" I love it, maybe I'll use that one sometime, when I don't want you guys to know who I am. He he, I will be undercover, trying to get into the DH site, Jack won't suspect a thing.
Continued from above… But there are more important issues at stake here. (music) The mystery of the exact location of the HGTV Dream Home 2011. (music)
Now, all you bloggers who have been on the DH CLUE BRIGGADE for at least 3 years look at the evidence below… Does this writing style seem familiar to you?
JTDHomeS · 1 day ago
"I don't know but I have a strong feeling the location of the DH 2011 will be in a state beginning with the letter K, T, N, or C (or at least hope). Hmmm….. but yet again I don't know. Hmm, you could be on to something, Cami. Rumors are that Jack T was spotted at the Kentucky Derby. Now, if we could just confirm those rumors, the plot will thicken, and the Dream Home location may begin to unravel right before our very eyes.
I know. We'll ask MARY to either confirm or deny those rumors. Of course, we can always rely on our Super Fan, GAIL, for the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
We'll get to the bottom of this, and find out if it's Kentucky once and for all.
I had a feeling they would move onto a new blog today, just to cover up the mystery.. Not the blog I was hoping for though.
Dun!! Dun!! Duh!!!!!!!
i did not intentionly do that. It was supposed to be K e N T u C k y as in the location that I want is in Kentucky.
i WANT IT IN EITHIER HAWWI OR AT THE CAROLINA BEACH
I have loved all of the Dream Home locations. I love being by water be it the ocean or lakes. I was born and raised in Texas. I would love to see a Dream Home in Texas near a wildlife park, area lakes or the coast.
A georgous ski house in Vermont would be ideal!
Hi there fellow bloggers. Hope everyone is doing great. Here is a thought that I had about the 2011 DH. I would really like to see a modern, rustic style lake home complete with rock waterfall, indoor pool (or at least covered), hot tub, and roof top patio. A larger casita for the Mother-in-law, or guests, huge stone fireplace and more traditional features. A Log cabin feel, would be great, and a larger master wing, with a beautiful sun room with a great view of the lake and magical views all around you, where you could enjoy coffee with your sweetheart, complete with it's own patio, and fire pit. Nestled securely in a quiet, semi-wooded area with lots of acreage and lots and lots of lake shore to enjoy. Maybe even enough to have a couple of horses or a few animals to share it with if you wanted. Now, does that not sound awesome??? I know it does to us. Everyone have a great and safe Easter holiday, and Keep dreaming big!!!!!!!
We have all enjoyed the incredible Dream Homes HGTV has built over the past 14 years, but with the economy the way it is, foreclosures at an all time high, it is time for HGTV to build a series of homes, (4 homes to giveaway, thus helping four families.) Keeping the homes affordable so the winning families can actual afford to live and maintain the homes. What would set you apart from just another builder? The amenities, with all the bells, whistles and superb decorating your Dream Homes are known to have……
HGTV needs to create a new development where the homes will have front porches and screened in porches, lots of outdoor living space, so neighbors can get together on a moments notice; and put in the plan a village or town square with a park in the middle and retail & restaurants bordering the 'square' on all four sides. The development needs to be laid out so that all homeowners are within walking or biking distance to the square, thus creating a real sense of community. The masterplan would include homes of several sizes and price ranges, allowing first time buyers the opportunity to buy into the development and move up in home size and price, and never leave the development. People crave socializing with their neighbors, (hence the increase in block parties, etc.) builders just need to give them the vehicle to do that. Who better to set the example than HGTV's Dream Home project, are you up to the challenge?
Oh Jan. I wish it were that easy. I too have said this in the past and it would be great if they would do this. It's kind of a share the wealth kind of thing. I agree with you, but as I have been told in the past, it doesn't work that way. I do hope that in the future that they might look into this though. That would be awesome. So, YES!!! I am up to the challenge. Take care and Keep dreaming big!!!
Why would this thought be a thumbs down? It's just an idea. Just wondering.
Yeah that isn't right, I hate it when people are so quick to give thumbs down, so I gave you all a thumbs up. I haven't had my thumbs for very long, so I am eager to use them.. I haven't given anyone thumbs down yet, but if I see a nasty one they will get as many thumbs down as I can give em…. which is just one, darn it.
Thank you Cami. By the way your name is so pretty. I have read many of your blogs and you seem like a really sweet person. I too hate it when people are quick to give a thumbs down before they really have read the whole blog or have maybe misunderstood how to take it. I know that this blog wasn't meant to be a negative one and for someone to do this to us is really rude. Thanks again for your comments. I'm glad that you have your thumbs back finally. I know you were having problems with that for a while. Don't take it that they don't like you, I think that you have made quite a few new friend on here. I know that I like reading your blogs. Good luck to you and keep dreaming big!!
P.S. I don't think that DARN is a swear word. It's better then what you could have said. He!! He!!
I think your idea sounds great! I think the Dream Homes community should be eco-friendly as well.
Also, I would like the houses to have some room- not built right on top of each other like TOO MANY are in CA and in AZ (and probably other states as well)!!!!!
I am changing my username to what it originally was, Ernie. So on the blog, JTDHomeS and Ernie are the same person.
That is very telling and enteresting Ernie, because I had my suspicions about you too. You seem so genuinely unhappy about my little mystery story? It kinda throws me a bit. I am sorry for any stress I have caused you, carry on, blogger, you have been interrogated long enough..
I realized something last night… I used to know the other pen name (He writes articles for HGTV too) of the DH clue man, and of course I can't remember what it was. I doubt it will ever come to me unless someone "Shows Me" perhaps what it was.
Why won't my username change!
Ernie sounds fine, isn't that what you wanted? I am still liking Montana for the location, I will look at this Anchorage Ky, however knowing how my mind works, I will end up in Alaska.
You are so multi flexible when it comes to names, and the way you are able to talk to yourself and interchange names, and speak in 2nd and 3rd and 4th person, it's amazing. How many names do you have? ….Don't answer that, I am sure it will just overwhelm me.
Ernie, the funniest thing about the fact, that you are JTDHomeS, is that the first time I saw your name listed as a blogger "Ernie" -and I read your post, I said to myself, "OHHH that is Jack Thomasson, that is a name he would pick". I find it humorous, you probably don't, but I just find the funny in a lot of things.
That's weird… Ernie is the name of my cat.
I haven't been to intense debate or seen the blog threads, but another blogger's comments about black bears made me think of Vermount. It seems that black bears are found around the Green Mountain National Forest area, not far from Middlebury, VT and the Lake Champlain area. Heading east, near Lebanon and Hanover, NH, there is Hartland Four Corners, VT.
My understanding is that both surrounding areas are considered desirable New England college towns. Middlebury, VT is home to Middlebury College and Hanover, NH is home to Dartmouth. Moreover, I believe Money Magazine listed Lebanon, NH as "one of the best places to live" in 2009.
I didn't know there were so many Four Corner towns, wow, maybe in every state. I have always wanted to visit Vermont.
Sorry for the typo! It should be Vermont.
Jan, I agree with you about the "sense of community". I would like to see HGtV downsize the home footage by a third, and ground maintainace in half—-and instead create an incredible courtyard and curb appeal with low maintainace/water conservation in mind. I grow veggie/flower gardens in containers with half the water consumption of sprinkler system/weed control etc. I feel luxury whistles and bells in the home/courtyard for gathering of family/friends/neighbors is top priority. I like "owning the home" vs "the home owning me". It will be hard to top the 2010 DH—but I've all the faith in the world they wiill exceed the challenge. Can't wait to read first clue next week. I'm hoping for an old world chalet/lodge feel to it iwith mountain views and lots of sunshine. and I'm hoping Jamie Durie is the courtyard designer. Happy dreamin'
I'd like to see an old time farmhouse type home built; with a garden, a barn (for animals, storage, T.V. room, gym, etc.), wrap-around porch with porch swing. Something like the 'Waltons', plenty of room for a family with more kids than guests. A real home!!!
Thank you. I also said I too agree about the sense of community. I think that this could be a great thing. I also like the theory of owning the home and not having it own me. Take care and keep dreaming big.
The blog thread about black bears also made me think of Virginia. There is also the Four Corners near Arlington, VA.
I would like to see the Dream Home somewhere on the coast of Oregon.
I think a good location would be southern Tennesse or north Georgia with the site on a lake, As far as size to me all the past homes are too large make it more afordable to live in and maintain.
Possibley do more than one home in different parts of the country.
I agree Tennessee and Georgia are great locations.
P.S. where did you hear that the first clues will be next week??
APRIL 2 POST—Green Home Virtual Tour. Last paragraph Mary says to check back on Monday for next week they are going to start giving clues, and wishes everyone a happy holiday. Now I may have misunderstood this to be in reference to the 2011 DH—I took it literally—-so we'll see.
Check out April 2 post—-HGTV Green Home Virtual Tour, by Mary. Last paragraph she tells us to check in on Monday as they will start dropping clues next week—I'm guessing she's referring to 2011DH location. Can't wait as I'm exhausted—-from weeks of traveling this internet highway from state to state to state checking out so many incredible areas of this great USA that fellow bloggers have suggested—-some of which I never knew existed—-some of which I plan to visit in the future—one of which I hope, hope, hope the 2011 DH is going to be located! Happy week-end dreamin'
I know right!! It's really tiring checking out all these locations that have been mentioned. I am tired too. Any of these locations are awesome and would be great for the new DH. The Green Home, to see it finally finished is awesome. I think it's beautiful. Thank you for the info. Keep dreaming big and You too have a great weekend and have a Happy Easter!!!!
Wouldn't it be fun to see how they arrive at the decision for the next location of the DH? I envision the HGTV family having this DREAM JOB for several months where they fly around the country visiting these incredible communities—– they fly home to headquarters—–then the real dilema begins—THE DECISION. How fun!
Yes, the Green Home is wonderful, with a warm, inviting feel to it.
Yes, I also think that it would be a fun job. I would love to fly around and visit all these wonderful locations. That to me would be a dream job. Cool huh? Have a great day and keep dreaming Green!!!!
I think the best places for the dream house 2011 would be the following places:
The Oregon Coast, Southern Oregon, Alger County [Michigan's Upper Peninsula] or Georgetown, Arrowsic, Phippsburg Maine
The reasons for these places are they are beautiful, out in a place where you can travel and even have a lot of room to build the house and amenities that the 2011 house needs.
I went to The Oregon's Website – Michigan's Upper Peninsula's Website – and Maine's Website and I looked at these places; and if you decide to build the house in one of these places or even doing research for one of these places I'd go to the website so you can see how beautiful and amazing each of these places are.
Hi, I just love all the HGTV programs it is my favorite show I have learned so much about how to do different things that when I look at my projects I get excited because I really did something that I have never done before. But to the point of the HGTV Dream Home, I think it should be in Lexington, Ky. It has so many great things to offer, shops, restaurant, theaters/plays, events for childern/adults and lots of green space and fishing spots for those who like trying their hand at catching the BIG ONE. As for education we have lots of schools and colleges to choose from and lets not for about the HORSES.
Hi there. It's nice to meet you. I know what you mean. That's why I love, love, love, HGTV!!! I have learned soooo much from them and the DHs are awesome. Kentucky is cool. I have been there too and I love it there. There is soooo much to see and do there and the shopping and fishing are great. We thought that it was beautiful there and the people were so helpful and very nice. We stayed in Radcliff , I hope I spelled it right. We were there for our sons graduation from the Army, and I thought it was great. There was so much history there. Abraham Lincolns home, Fort Knox, The Louisville slugger museum, not to mention the scenery is sooo beautiful. So Kentucky would be O.K. too. Well, Have a great weekend and a fun and Safe Easter. Keep dreaming big.
