like most of the new home , but found the master bedroom closet a little short of covenience and efficientcy. Childs bath has a clothes hook far too high for a 4 year old to reach his shirt.
Personally i would like to see less fancy and more efficient and sustainable dream home. this would be a home were every square inch, possible, has been used for comfortable living. loved the New Mexico home, for a retiree or businees couple, standard american family would have to add on.
Any fully self efficient homes in the future? wind power combined with solar and woodstove, instant hot water, etc.?
New England home as some nce touches but fell short in hidden storage and looks like alot of wasted space in areas through out.Just an old guys opinion. I prefer more earth tone friendly environments with less complicated decor. but I am a guy.
I usually enter these contests with very little hope….but what cay I say I'm prone to losing…I dare to dream that a home like this, a home straight out of a magazine where I imagine a well to do family with taste and elegance and sophistication owning possibly a couple of these homes throughout the world are relaxing and taking their lives n lifestyle for granted,while I flip through pictures of homes like these only enjoying them from afar…

I agree with the wasted space comment. Where is the efficient storage? And cupboards in the kitchen? Also in 2200 square feet there should be some other linen closet other than shelves in the master closet. I also think that the "New England" kitsch with the "Americana Red" everywhere is tiresome, especially on the kitchen island! Over decorated in my opinion, but hey, I think a "green" home should be simple, clean, and efficient in style and function, of which this house is not. And all the screaming color everywhere on the blindingly white walls, not my idea of a soothing, eco-friendly, natural environment. But that's just my opinion.

I would give anything to win this home,so I could get heck out of rotten florida for good,would sell my home but payed to much in 11/05,so now feel doomed till prices ever rise in rotten florida. Florida is killing my health big time.

I wish there was a beautiful dream home for all of us! I so picture my family living there. As I have said before, I feel like HGTV came to me and asked what I wanted my "dream" home to look like! It just feels so right, so me! If I'm the lucky one, I will some how pay it forward! Good Luck!

My parents owned a summer/retirement home on an island in Maine. We traveled all along the east coast spending a great deal of time in Massachusetts. Although my parents sold their home and since passed away, I still have a sister and her family on the east coast(Kennebunk & Boston). Some of us are in Seattle, now. I would love to have this beautiful home as a place our family could meet each year and relive our wonderful family times on the east coast. The fact that is a “green” home is of utmost importance to our family. Thank you hgtv for giving us the opportunity to win this home. I’ve never won anything in my life, so this is doubtful, but I will keep on trying. Good luck everyone.

I would be so lucky winning this house, all the stress ive been through with my 10 yr old daughter getting diagnosed with NF2, and needing surgery all the driving to Boston, its so beuatiful i could even get married in the back yard.
I have absolutely fallen in love with this house. My feonce and I have 3 children ages 7 3 and 2, this would be a wonderfully refreshing start for all of us. We currently live on the MS gulf coast and would happily relocate ASAP!!!!!

I love where the home is located,use to go to that are all th etime years ago,only been back in rotten florida for 5 miserable years,would be gone buy now,but houses here are selling for peanuts an dwe were stupid to move back to florida,cause hubby got promotion,but now don't mean that much when your 100% miserable an dit's affecting my health 100%?
