  1. Kentucky, Lexington is the perfect place to bulid the next Dream Home. Lexington offers great schools, colleges, dining, entertainment, sports (UK basketball, football, etc), Kentucky Derby. Other things that Lexington offers is green space, we have the most beautiful farm lands and loads green space with trees, flowers…you have to see it to believe it.

  2. You have to consider the West Michigan coastline up by Traverse City, Petoskey, or anywhere in the Leelanau peninsula! There is so much beauty there, nature, room to roam…and of course the beautiful water and many hillsides.

  6. What about Oklahoma? We're not a backwoods state, you know. There are a lot of beautiful areas in Oklahoma. Would you at least think about it?

  7. My earliest guess was Milwaukee, WI and I'm sticking with it. But all of the clues about tourists and beautiful people, and I have to think it might be New York. NYC has over 8 million people and most of them look, well. ordinary, but then there are the exceptions. The opportunities here attract some of the most beautiful people from all over the world. Okay, maybe LA and Miami attract the better looking, but it doesn't snow in either of those places. Go to an average NYC restaurant and the host or hostess is going to be extremely easy on the eyes. Walk the streets in a hip neighborhood and you will see, whether tourist or native, some very gorgeous people.

  11. I need to move to Seattle, WA and it would be lovely if HGTV could start working on my new house. ;-) Beautiful area. A hidden gem. It would be wonderful to see a green home there as well, would make a great location! At least 3 bedrooms please!

  18. I'd like to retire to the Ozarks – like Joplin, Mo. would be my choice. have you ever considered that area?

  19. yep Iowa but I do see Tennessee

Roz on May 26, 2010 at 6:36 pm
  20. How about North Carolina…the beautiful Outer Banks or Historic towns along the coast…I think would be an excellent option for an HGTV Dream Home. And there is the hustl and bustle of Charlotte, NC Its no NYC or Chicago, but it is an amazing city. And then there are the Downtown Asheville, NC which is let's just say breath taking. All the culture there would easily inspire a Dream Home. =) Just something to ponder.

Hillary on May 26, 2010 at 6:57 pm
  21. My guess will be one of these two places 1. Starved, IL or Big Bear, CA. Where ever it ends up being would be great. These are my two guesses.

Moni' on May 26, 2010 at 10:08 pm
  22. I can see Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Iowa, West Virginia and Colorado. I'm from Nebraska so of course I think it should be here.

Veronica on May 26, 2010 at 11:07 pm
  23. I am from Nebraska too, veronica…..would be nice and I can see they would get more for the money here.

Charlotte on May 27, 2010 at 3:52 pm
  24. I haven't been on HGTV in a while so I am just now founding out this little hunt. I think it may be Chicago Illinois or somplace in Illinois. This location is somewhat close to water, snows in the winter, East of New Mexico, has many restuarants, and it is one of the states not mentioned. Just a hunch (probably not right) but you never know! :) Cannot wait to find out, so excited. This just made my day!

  30. The numbers in clue 4 were map coordinates for Missoula Montana in NW USA (clue 2) which is on the Clark Fork river (body of water) and the entrance to Rattlesanke recreation area (clue 8)which drains the Powder river basin area where Red Cloud (postage stamp) fought and flower (clue 7) is bitter root Montana state flower. Development may be Stillwaters not far from Dairy Gold farms (clue 6 and 3) or in Granite county north of Missoula. It is definitely in Montana around Missoula

  31. I think Tennessee would be a great area. With the mountain views, it would be relaxing with good weather. When I saw the granted counter tops, I thought of an area near the Grand Canyon.

  41. Please!! The greatest city in the world!!! New York. That would really be a dream. And a home that has more than two bedrooms please- or Murphy beds hidden in a library or den. Won't all friends and family want to come and visit this remarkable city??? Also, continued green construction for city living. Hope you will consider it.

  42. I hope it is somewhere around the Inn at Shelburne Farm. It is a 1400 acre Farm non-profit with an Inn. I dreamed of having my daughters wedding in the Barn there. It looks like a beautiful place to visit. And you cannot get any Greener than this place. Hope it is there. I wouldn't even mind the cold to be near a farm like that where I could buy produce and visit the animals and support something like that. I have not given up on Plymouth yet so this will have to wait. Mass is the home I have been trying to get back to for 25 years. But I will still visit Shelburne someday. Just a poor guess.

    sobeit1 on June 3, 2010 at 5:54 am
  43. Shelburne, Vermont is my final guess. If I could have it anywhere I would want it here so why not. If it is in VT I don't have a chance of ending my HGTV obsession after the announcement of the Plymouth winner. First Massachusetts was my number one choice in the whole US. I am a Floridian trying to get back there for 25 years now. And just this week I was researching the VT area for a location for my daughters barn wedding. I definitely have a preference for Northeast sites.

  44. I think Georgia would be the ideal addition to Dream Home locations. Maybe right in the middle of Atlanta or Savannah???

Louise on June 3, 2010 at 6:26 am
  45. I think it should be in Florida!

Lupe on June 3, 2010 at 6:36 am
    • that was my first location discovery but they got into snowflakes I thought it was Naples Florida with the first sets of clues they all fit together so cool and still east of NM Maybe it is still a BIG POSSIBILITY !!!!

      melissa_again on June 4, 2010 at 1:49 am
  46. Such home can only be dream in true sense as well. Because the scenic and the natural beauty of such places we rarely and hardly get at the places we need it to be and if at all we get then it might not be affordable.
