HGTV Dream Home 2011 Location Clue Twelve

I like the idea of 20 questions. But I’m not going to bite. Here are a few tidbits that may get you closer to the answer. The location is:

-East of HGTV Dream Home 2010

-Really pretty and home to many good-looking, nice people

-A place where snow falls in the winter

-Kind of close to a body of water

-Not in Kentucky

-Friendly to tourists

  1. It's St. Cloud, Minnesota – the honeybees, along the Lake Wobegon Trail where "all the men are good-looking", Granite Country, USA and the Mississippi River…

  7. Is it in Chittenden County, in Vermont??Mount Mansfield is the highest mountain in Vermont; being the highest in the state it is also the highpoint of Chittenden County. The mountain gets its name because when viewed from the east its summit ridge resembles the profile of a human face, and the names of its prominent features reflect this: Adams Apple (4,060'), Chin (4,393', highest point), Nose (4,062') and Forehead (3,940'). For about 2.3 miles (from the Adams Apple to the Forehead) the Long Trail is almost constantly above treeline, the only such long stretch of alpine zone in Vermont.

  11. I don't think any one state has the most beautiful people. Why would that be important? Friendliest place I've been is Joplin, Missouri. People wave hello to strangers. My husband, a native of California, was surprised when everyone passing my mother's house waved to him. I want to retire in Mo. How about building a home where it is affordable to live. I'm tired of CA.

  17. My son joseph is a hard working father of a 16 year old girl who loves the lord,is charitable to his fellow man and his dream is to have a home where his whole family would be able to worship together and finally have stability in their lives. Please keep us in mind when you begin to have the next drawing for the 2011 home-maybe GOD will be graceous enough to hear my family’s prayer for all of us to finally be together under the same roof….

  25. I think it is going to be DC area. It is west of New Jersey, East of the Mississippi and South of the Mason Dixon. The Hawaii clue is referring to President Obama's home state. That is my idea anyhow.
