The whole Dream Team really knows how to pull it together from beginning to end. Now we're at the end of one and the beginning of the next, but neither here nor there. This must be our spring break.

Well, Boomer beat me to it. I was about to say that my thoughts on the 2011 Dream Home is that it's over and now it is time to move on to dreaming 2012 style. So, bring on the clues! Let's see…clue #1- it is in the Southern-most state of the United States. Clue #2- the winner will be neighbors to a friendly mouse. Oh wait…those are the clues to the dream home that I want. One additional thought that I must express. Gail mentioned, near the end of her vlog, that "maybe you didn't win this one, but there's always the next one right around the corner." I know that we've been a little jumpy lately on the Urban Oasis blog about the use of that phrase, "right around the corner," and I'm wondering if we should be concerned about the parallel use of those words here by Gail, or encouraged?
What do you think? Am I reading too much into it? Was it just an innocent coincidence, or a subtle hint of things to be or not to be?
Well Coop…………That is the question. Maybe Our Army Family has it right. If we go around the corner to our right or left, and go South until we get to the SE corner of the US, perhaps we'll get "Tangled" up in a Disney wonderland. Disney and HGTV seem to be "Tangled" up once again, in some kind of relationship. I can't wait to see how "Tangled" up they become. I would like to see them "Tangled" at Aulani on Oahu, but the development in the SE US corner sounds good too.
I've been watching HGTV a lot today and they are showing a lot of commercials about the Disney movie Tangled. Rapunzels tower will be featured in the epcot flower festival, which HGTV is tangled up in.

Are we skipping it this year? Now I am getting confused again. I haven't been here for a couple of
days, so I will look back to see if something was said about that.
Gail or Mary (or one of their helpers) I have not heard the term "turn key" . While watching HGTV the
other day, they used the term "turn key house" as well as "turn key community" on two different shows.
Is this an eastern term or do they use it here as well? and what does it mean? Thank you for your
help.
When turn-key is used in selling homes in my area, it means that the home comes with everything inside and out, furniture, pictures, dishes, appliances, picnic table, snowblower—everything.
What was meant in this context though, unsure.

Hi Debra G me too. Today is National Lemon Chiffon Cake Day. I have been trying to remember the cake you were talking about during the DH 2011 clues. In fact I think you said you were going to order one. If you remember the name of it let me know I have been trying to remember the name and it is driving me crazy. Not really, but when I want to remember something I keep thinking about it until I find the answer. Need to go get a piece of delicious cake.
It was Smith Island Cake, Alice and Soney, and it is made in the Chesapeake Bay area, so if Debra wins the Blog Cabin she can have it as often as she likes!
Just found out the afternoon tours start at 3. I signed a contract to help with math for kids doing credit recovery in the High School where I work (i.e. summer school) and can't get clear across town by 3 to be a Green House tour guide. But I can tour myself and take pics and post. I will definitely peek in closets, hopefully they aren't roped off.

Maybe Gail meant SF or SAC when she said right around the corner. She said she was in SF. She said right around the corner. That could mean the next big opportunity/surprise/Urban Oasis is in the SF area? Just pure speculation on my part, but then again, isn't that part of the fun LOL?? Hmmmmmm….

I never heard this before (wrong generation, I guess) — it's a little weird, but also kind of funny, and now I can't get it out of my head, so listen at your own risk!
Soney and I really enjoyed that and cute pictures. Our family loves macadamia nuts and anything else that is Hawaiian. We have so many songs in our head one more won't matter. Thanks I think this is going to be Soney's favorite song he keeps clicking the replay button.

Yes it's time to move on and start to think about the next possibilities, and erase all those dreams that I had, and yes all the visions of all the fun times with families and friends that will never happen and move on BUT I won't worry we have so many other dreams to come, there is no time to be sad anymore, now I have to focus on what's next, so WHAT'S NEXT?
I can only surmise that the reason Mary has been so quiet lately is because she is very busy coming up with a whole series of real humdingers for clues to the Dream Home 2012 location. We are ready to start any time you are, Mary, and while we wait we will be dreaming about the Green Home, Blog Cabin, and Urban Oasis (a hint about the latter would be much appreciated)!
P.S. Mary, try not to begin with the clues until Coop gets back from his trip — we would hate to start guessing without him!
I can not help myself i keep coming back to see if there is a new message on all the sites dream, green, urban and blog cabin. I know that it will be awhile before new dream home information. But i have to check anyway. Everyone have a great day and enjoy the spring.
Does anyone wonder what's up with the winners of the housewarming gifts? WE WON!! I still can't believe it. So far, we've received a set of 12 Calphalon cookware, a waffle iron, the KitcheAid stand mixer, his/hers hiking poles and snowshoes, binoculars, the party tub (we have to wait for them to monogram),
and the Paula Deen baking set. Does anyone have the complete list of gifts that voters chose or the original list with the 10 categories and the three selections in each category? Guess I'd better go try my luck on the Green Home! Thanks!

You haven't missed it. Last year they posted a link to the winner's weekend photos here on the blog near the end of May. Check back on the Dream Home main page periodically and they will announce when the walkthrough has happened.

This looks like a place I use to live, its called Sebastopol, Ca. on the way to Monteago Bay (where the birds were filmed) the Russian river, a very beauticul place where you have country,mountains and the bay all within 30 minutes. Beautiful place, sorry I had to leave it.
