What Kind of Country?

With regard to the 2012 location, let’s chat for a spell about the landscape. An examination of past locations and their settings may help you guesstimate next year’s location. The 2009 home was in Sonoma – wine country, neighborhood, suburban, cozy. The 2010 manse was smack-dab in the middle of the desert – remote, arid, great sunsets, endless mountain views. That adorable mountain lodge in Stowe was New England at its finest – cozy ski town, close-knit community, quaint downtown. So what might the 2012 location look like? Beachy? Urban? Dropped in the middle of farm country? Let me know what you’re thinking today.

I'm writing this for my mom. I honestly want her to have a dream home because shes single, shes provides for us, we live in an apartment, and our dream is to have our own house. I really want my mom to have a beach house. She cant afford to have a house, she can only pay the bills. She would really like beach house anywhere.
It looks to me from the last set of letters that its going to be in Georgia. If its suppose to be coastal. I think the first set of scrabble clues has to do with a something that is around that area. I wouldn't mind Georgia but then I wouldn't mind one anywhere. They are all so great.
Oh please let it be Hawaii! At this point, that would be the location to make sense to mix it up a bit from desert, ski mountain resort and New England dream homes in the past. I'm counting down for the next dream home contest!
The best of luck to all of us.
I am voting for a beautiful setting in the farm country of Michigan. Yes, we have miles and miles of beaches, too, but we have some absolutely beautiful farm country also in the "thumb" of Michigan. Hey, it's good enough for Bob Seger. Or how about by Gaylord? Kidd Rock sings about it. Must be nice.
I'd like to see a loft in a big city.
just saying Hi,fplks and why not Michigan?

First and formost, I like the idea of Hawaii. I'l like a ranch style home. I picture a home completely surrounding an open courtyeard in the center. I like the idea of being within walking/bike riding distance of a great semi private beach and adorable town area. Hicking would be close, a friendly trail with waterfalls. I'd like to see a dream home that doesn't skimp on bedrooms. Seems to me most of the homes limit to 2-3 bedrooms. Many of the locations are so great…even if you on't have a large family, with locations like these you can count on plenty of friends and family for visits and holidays. I'd like to see a 4-5 bedroom home.
I think placing a dream home in an adorable colledge town has not been done yet. Maybe Fort Collins, CO or Davis, CA. Cities like these are great for most people from retirees to singles to families. College towns often have great grade schools, lovely downtowns with unigue shops. Small coffee shops to a wide variety of the arts can be enjoyed in colledge towns. That would be a dream location for me.
Excited for the Park City location. I was born and raised in Utah and lived in the mountains all my life. This is one of the most beautiful locations one could imagine. Picture deer wandering through your yard at dawn and dusk on a daily basis, while listening to the water trickling over the stones of the river. Pure Bliss!
