7. I’m so anxious to find out who will win. I know we all hope it will be ourselves, I so do. I am a single mom living in a motel with my 4yr old daughter, and 20yr. old son. We need a home badly. But I am very excited and happy for the person who does win if it isn’t myself and my children.

9. every home dream home or green home given away the winner is taped earlier than the showing also they use family and friends to help ambush the person at a specific place. if you read all the previous winners posts or interviews they are all the same. the winner is announced tonite not surprised tonite. theres always next years dream and green home unless they quit getting free stuff from advertisers to help pay for it.

11. today is the day, right, I didn’t enter every day, but I did enter, I didn’t know until today that the winner had already been chosen, but I had surmised that anyhow. I was born in Florida and it’s a great place. Whoever wins will surely love the place. 14. Well, no one has knocked on my door yet, so I am wondering if they are at someone else’s door! I would love for it to be me…I grew up in Port St Lucie and would love to go “home” again after being gone for 15 years! Ah well….if it’s meant to be, it will be….. GOOD LUCK ALL!!

I’m sure the winner was notified the minute they picked it out..not to rain on anyones parade or anything but the winner of the HGTV house last year had to pay 700,000 dollars in taxes…most people that win these houses have to sell it immediately to pay off the taxes. I just learned this when I tried to win another house, for a radio station. And they told me that to move in you had to pay 90,000 dollars!!! Houses that you win are taxed 42% of the value of the house, not 8% that I thought it was…who knew!! The houses are so beautiful, it would be so sad to sell it. I don’t know if people get loans for the price of the taxes or what…I doubt if I could get a loan for that kind of money, and if I had that kind of money laying around I would just buy a house. It’s a shame to think that people like the women in the trailor mentioned above can’t win and not worry about the high taxes. Good luck and hope if you won the house you also won the lottery too..lol By the way I love HGTV and I know it’s not their fault.

18. Well if it was only mail in entry’s then I lost, I could only email in, I would have really like to have won though even though I never win anything. 22. Well, my husband and I have been talking about finally owning a home, we have been married for 4yrs and we live in a small double wide owned by my parents. I live in the country in south Georgia so Port St Lucie is not to far from us…Im Praying that there might be just a slight chance. And good luck to everyone else, God Bless You All

28. =) Just came home from a business meeting and the house is a mess, 2 little boys and daddy home all weekend…so even though I still have a glimmer of hope left that its US… i’m also kinda thinking maybe it SHOULDNT be us. I’m dead tired and dont want to clean for the camera crew lol )

29. I hope that the person chosen deserves it. I have been watching and entering for several years, and every time it looks like a family who already has a nice deserving home. Why not chose someone who has no home, or has lost their home, or cannot afford to fix their small home which is falling apart with several children in the home. I feel some people are to greedy and should think of others who truly need a new home.
